This is one of the most updated units in the building. New floors, top of the line furniture, High End LCD Flat Panel TVs in all rooms with Blu Ray player in family room, New Soffits with downlighting, all Furniture purchased in 2010, new bath vanities and tubs, entire kitchen and appliances.

Let men start by letting everyone know, this condo is as pictured, someone stating anything other than that is not telling the truth and does so to spite the owner of this property. Mike is a great owner, and goes above and beyond to help with any issues. For example, the internet wasnt working and my kids have online classes to log in to, Mike happended to be in one of his other rentals, and came down to ours at 11:30 pm to get internet working, not many people would do that. The condo is clean and well taken care of. The condo is located inside the Ocean Manor Resort, which itself is going through some remodeling as its an older Resort. The staff of the Resort were very friendly from the valets to the wait staff at the tiki bar. Yes you have to pay to park, but for 8 days 40 dollars is cheap with valet service, and a couple dollar tip with the valets goes along ways, they get to know you and most actually ran to get our vehicle when needed. The tiki bar is awesome, a little pricey but go for happy hour and 2 for 1s. The pool area is well kept and pool was heated to a nice temperture. The beach, hard to describe, it goes right up to tiki bar and pool area, talk about location this is the place to stay, mcdonalds, dunkin donuts and Wings, a great store to pick up tshirts, towels all well priced. This condo will not let you down. Only one downside, the fold out in the living room only sleeps one, and folds up on you if your not careful, but very minor. Mikes unit 515 is well worth the money and we are planning another trip we will definately rent again.Owner response: This is the typical response we get. The unit is not 100% flawless but it is very clean, safe, and is exactly what the pictures show it to be, a very nice vacation condo with perfect location and a great ocean view. We understand it isnt for everyone, but it is absolutely for the majority of people as for every good review we have recieved we have also received 3-4 raving emails. I wish we could make everyone as happy and it just isnt realistic to expect. If you select any of our units for your vacation, you will get 110% effort from us to make your stay enjoyable. 357659 and 434622 are other listing numbers we own and they get similar reviews. I guess we are doing things right.

We rented this unit from owner directly & bypassed VRBO (DO NOT)! When we arrived at almost midnight we were immediately encountered with an argument between valet & night club customer over a $5 tix. The 4 letter words flying out of these folks mouths in front of my daughter... Then we get to the 5th floor via the loading elevator. The smell of mildew, old garbage & cigarrette. Garbage bags at people doors, door numbers written in Sharpie, yellow mop buckets in the 1/2 tile, 1/2 carpet 1/2 concrete hall way, walls peeling. The owner has attempted to do something with the unit I am certain to mask the outside of the building. Nice kitchen, furniture & decor decent but there are holes on the wall with exposed electrical, dingy walls, nasty mildew invaded ac grates, the grime in the bathrooms is gross. Broken mirrors & again the smell. The building is also a hotel(NOT DISCLOSED)& there is a night club downstairs & the clientele: undesirable. The rooms are not only for residents so at 1:30am on the night we arrived someone drunk banging at our door. We slept with the chair jammed on door because door does not lock from the inside - only a combination lock which now we know all realtors had. Also the stinch of pot in the hallway first thing in the morning. We advised the owner the unit & building were not up to our standards and that we were vacating. He refused to take accountability & stated that he would speak to the building owner. We had a previous engagement so we had no other choice than to stay an extra day plus we were traveling with our puppies. We left our pups in the unit & when we arrived our 2lb Yorkie had puked all over himself at how scared he was. Last owner forgot to disclose that unit is on the market so he had a realtor coming to show unit with a 10 minute notice text (10am). Then while we were out another realtor entered the unit while all of our belongings were in unit - no notice! We offered to pay for 3 nights and cleaning fee since we ended up having no other option than to vacate. Owner at the beginning very responsive now not as responsive & finally that we talked refuses to give us a refund since we deposited the rental directly into his account. Unit not as shown on pics, building in severe disrepair & DO NOT pay owner directly if you choose to stay. Pay with credit and go through VRBO. We gave owner benefit of doubt! Very sadden the way owner runs business.Owner response: Well, If your reading ALL these reviews Im sure you can figure out that this couple (more so the wife) was never going to be happy. There are just some people that you can not please. We certainly tried. We had conversations on the phone to reassure them that they were safe and they gave us raving compliments on the unit itself. It all came down to giving them their money back or they would write a poor review. To me, it just sounded like black mail. So, I offered $200 despite not having done anything wrong or anything wrong with the building. The unit and the building ARE exactly as the pictures show and described. I couldnt get 11 great reviews if it wasnt. If you feel the review is the only accurate one and the others are not, I saved the emails from this tenant stating how beutiful our unit was and how they enjoyed dealing with me. THis all changed after I informed them that I would give them back only $200. They claimed to be experienced vacationers so it came to my mind that they have probably used this tactic before. Either way, we have had 100% satisfaction prior to and after their stay. Including a tenant DURING hurricane sandy who just requested to come back.

My friend and I rented this condo for a well needed rest. We are having a lovely vacation. This condo is exactly what was described by photos and amenities in the listing. It is quite spacious and is in a great location to the beach, shopping, golf, restaurants, the airport... The pool is very nice with lots of chairs. The owner is very helpful and prompt to answer inquiries..Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

I was taking my 19 year old cousin and a friend of his on vacation as a high school graduation gift and as there was a group of us, decided a condo would be the perfect solution to our accomodation needs. I happened to find Mike's listing, and was pleasantly pleased. Mike was very easy to work with and helpful. The condo itself was great, it had a great location and had everything we needed. The valet was $7 a day and everyone at the valet station was very helpful as well. They also have shuttle service available (for a charge) if you don't want to wait for a cab. We rented a car but only used it once or twice so if you're willing to walk a little, may not be necessary. I would highly recommend this location and intend on coming back again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Just returned from a great week at this convenient condo--walking distance to a grocery store and many good restaurants. What was probably the most convenient about our stay was working with Mike. From the first time I contacted him to the end of our stay, he was very professional and helpful. The condo has been totally updated and Mike's pictures on this post accurately reflect the top notch furniture and a high end kitchen. The beach was pretty and had a shallow entrance which was helpful for our 3 small children. The pool was heated and big. The condo building itself is undergoing some renovations and while we were there a TV film crew was on site filming a reality show about all the of improvements underway. Valet parking was $7 per day. We'd love to return if we get the chance. Condo was very roomy for our stay (4 adults), furnishings were very nice down to the quality of cookware. Spacious living room area, nice bedrooms, small kitchen but extremely well equipped with high end appliances - all that is needed. You do have an angled view of the beach. The building needs upgrades in the hallways and elevators. People smoking in the hallway was a nuisance. Excellent location for shopping and dining at all levels. Outside Tiki bar had good food/drinks. Nice area - not tacky. Beach was very nice and we lucked out with beautiful weather, warm ocean water, but the pool "heater" must not have been working. Would recommend this rental but don't expect much from the building - other than the lobby it needs an upgrade to match the quality of the condo.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Beachcomber is correct. Building does need some upgrades and one of them was just done as of April 20th. The front entrance, valet parking, entry door, and all the tile was just renovated. nothing like a great first impression. Also, the brand new restaurant (Tokyo Blue) is stunning and really high end. Areas like the basement and stairwells certainly need upgrading at some point. Good news is that the building is constantly upgrading something, as are we.

The owner was fantastic. The building is old. We had stayed there before and there have been many updates and improvements. This particular unit is really a home away from home. This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this property. Each time the condo was well maintained easily utilized. Minor issues, washer/dryer couldn't be used, air-conditioner drip pan leak, were the only problems. The large living room helped us entertain a family gathering comfortably. The bedrooms are both comfortable and useful as I need extra room since I use my rollater. The restaurant/tiki bar has great food and a fun atmosphere. The beach is easily accessable for anyone who doesn't use a wheelchair or rollater. I highly recommend this condo for a place on the beach to get away. The owner is very polite and helpful. This condo helps make Fort Lauderdale a great place to get away too.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

rented for 13 days(the time flew by), first, we enjoyed the keyless entry. you enter by a code on the door, so no scambling, or losing keys. The valet parking is shockingly cheap(about $2 day, plus we always gave the kid a small tip). other places we have stayed it was as much as $25 per night!! The pool was great, my husband swam laps, & we enjoyed having lunch or dinner by the pool & tiki bar & fire pit. Most hotels, one has to walk across the street to the beach. At this place, you just walk out the door & there you are! Amazing views from your almost private beach. The pig roast was Sunday & we enjoyed the outside dining. There is also a coffee bar in the lobby for quick sandwiches & specialty coffees. The condo is great. Everything is new & well furnished. The beds were comfy & the flat screen TV gave the place an updated appearance. There were 2 couples. If we had rented 2 hotel rooms it would have been more money, & we could not have enjoyed our family visits watching TV at night together eating pop corn, then Blue Belle homemade vanilla ice cream( all you snow birds must try this ice cream, it taste like real old fashioned crank style). We ate out every night. Nick's Rest. is close by & have an early bird 4-7pm. you get salad, to die for garlic bread, an entree, a dessert, & beverage for $13.99!!! Casa Blanca is another great place for a by the ocean experience(get the giant shrimp appetizer) Blue Moon has lunch, buy one, get one free. Mike, thanks for sharing your place with us. We appreciate all your efforts & details to make your condo just like home. About the owner: My wife and I purchased this condo to provide a fun and exciting place for our children of 3 and 6 years to enjoy and to look forward to throughout the year. We have found it to be the perfect balance of luxury and fun where a kid can be a kid and the adults have activities as well. We hope you find your stay as enjoyable as we do. Why the Owner Chose Ocean Manor:
The location of this condo could not be better. It is on a dead end type street so there is no traffic to deal with in front of the hotel. While it has the feel of a vacation property/resort, it has a lot of privacy. The beach is private and the pool is heated. The TIKI BAR is an area attraction and provides the perfect location to relax in shade and comfort. The building is constantly improving its grounds and service. The new restaurant in the lobby is really beutiful and was worth the wait. You can even get served drinks and food on the beach from the Tiki Bar.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
There is free internet, a new steak and seafood restaurant in the lobby, valet parking is convenient and low cost of a few dollars per day (more for large vehicles), food is great, the 1 of only 2 Tiki bars in the area is awesome. All in all, a great value for the money. Shopping is directly across the very private street. You are just a walk away from downtown shops at Lauderdale by the Sea and the Pier, a short drive to Downtown Lauderdale, Los Olas, and a 3 hour drive to Disney. You can charter a fishing boat, jetski, snorkle, parasail, and much more right from the desk in the lobby. The condition of the unit is brand new with all the best in building materials and appliances. Nothing at Home Depot quality. The washer/dryer in the kitchen is not common in other units. We have other units, including a LARGE penthouse, so please ask about them.
