We have the vacation home for you!
A 1500 square foot home nestled against the beach. The beach is walk on, literally steps from your door. At high tide the beach is sand and small rounded rocks, but at low tide the water retreats 100 meters, exposing a huge shell searching, starfish viewing, gooey duck splashing, sandy playground.
The property is only 5 minutes from major shopping but is extremely private as it is on a little used beach with very little exposed to the neighbors.
The property is over 1 acre large boosting a plum tree and a large blackberry patch, from which the fruits can be eaten in late July and all of August. Many other beautiful trees and shrubs grace the property, including a large native British Columbian Arbutus tree which is directly off the ocean side deck and master bedroom. The property has a creek running though it in the fall, winter and spring.
The home itself is decorated with authentic native Canadian artwork done by Dick Joseph of Campbell River including his beautiful masterpiece - a yellow cedar, 9 foot tall, authentic totem pole placed in the main hall of the home. Other pieces include a very unique raven bench that is a wonderful place to sit and have a coffee in the morning, a beautiful bear coffee table (with carved head, back and legs) and killer whale end tables. The exquisite pottery of the late Ruby Joseph is also founded gracing many corners of the home.
The living room faces the ocean and boosts 2 extra large, white leather sofas, a wood burning fireplace and patio doors onto the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a full size dining nook which is situated under the boughs of the maple tree. The kitchen also has views of the ocean, so preparing meals is never boring! In the past we have seen seals, eagles, river otters and, on the rare occasion, whales!
The master bedroom is facing the ocean, accented with white wicker, it has a king sized bed, patio doors and a full bath which includes a jacuzzi sized bath tub with jets. Floor to ceiling mirrors on one wall enhances the already stunning effect of sleeping in a room near the sea.
The bunk bed room is of a good size with brand new bunk beds and a beautiful holly tree right outside the window.
The third room has a queen bed and is also home to the only television in the house. This room is beautifully lite by two extra large windows with a great view of the maple tree.

My husband was raised in this village and I think it is the most beautiful village on the island, so buying a home here seemed like a great idea!
The Unique Benefits of this House
What is truly unique about the properties along this beach is that this beach is very private - most beaches are covered in people but this one is tucked far enough away that rarely anyone goes to it, except the people who have homes on it. Having said that, we are only a 5 minute drive from the grocery store, 10 minutes to Parksville and 20 minutes to the famous Goats-on-the-roof market. When you are here you feel like you are away from it all yet you still have easy access to your heart's desire!
