Why the Owner Chose Anna Maria
We are proud of our laid back, old Florida lifestyle on Anna Maria Island. Our beach is lined with old Florida cottages, 2 story condos, fantastic restaurants, bike paths and casual beach living. This newer Mediterranean styled condo has a partial view of the beach, is newly constructed and has many amenities for the perfect holiday.
Anna Maria Island has some of the best beaches in the world. No road to close from La Casa # 7 to the beach.
Great island shopping and restaurants (try Hurricane Hanks and Tortilla Bay)
Great food and music at public beach. Ride the free trolley from the north end of Anna Maria to the south end.

Born in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada. Lived in Brockport & Rochester, New York for 45 years before moving to Anna Maria Island. Graduated from Brockport High School and then Rochester Institute of Technology. Attended Harvard University's SCMP program. Licensed private pilot, past president of Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce, director of Manatee Chamber of Commerce, past president of Florida Bed & Breakfast Association, Served four years in the Air Force. With my wife Jo, we are owners of Island Real Estate and Harrington House Beachfront Bed & Breakfast (operated by son Mark).

A bit of Paradise on earth

What a fantastic way for my wife and I to spend our shared Birthday. We brought along our college age chldren who had the best time ever. The water temps were great we spent time on the boogie boards and had everything we needed in this luxurious condo. Washer and dryer made it easy to pack very little. Early morning walks with the dolphins swimming near the shore.Afternoons when the stingrays would swim along and all the wildlife made it so peacful.There were more shells here on the beach than I have ever seen anywhere.We borrowed a few to take home to make a memory jar.Thanks to Judy and also the staff at Harrington House down the beach for making sure we had everything we needed to have the best vacation ever. We had a wonderful week in your gorgeous condo with our four kids, ages 4 to 14. We left behind snow a blizzard to enjoy the white sandy beaches, palm trees, jumping dolphins, yummy seafood. We loved the Mote Aquarium (go manatees & sea turtles & giant squid) and Old Salty Dog restaurant, enjoyed Mixon Fruit Farm (incredible citrus!) rented Segways (our teens loved that) and bikes, collected a gazillion seashells with our toddler; cooked a lot in this amazing kitchen, ate at the Sandbar and DeGiorgio (only place open on Christmas Day- great Italian), swam in your heated pool.
