  My husband and I stayed in this unit for two weeks over the holidays. We were moving to the island and needed a temporary place to stay until we found a permanent home. This was the perfect choice for us. It had everything we needed (cooking supplies, beach chairs, everything you can think of!). It was exactly as they described. We found it to be very affordable compared to other condos we looked at. I wouldnt hesitate to reccomend this unit to any of our friends/family. Its also in a perfect location close to two grocery stores and Coconut Marketplace which has a Lappert's! We walked to several restaurants in the area several (check out Wahoo's and Oasis Grill) which was nice to be able to do. Beach is just across the street and you can run along the trail from Plantation Hale to the Outrigger which we loved to do. The property manager was very responsive before and during our stay. We had a small issue with the garbage disposal not working and he had someone out that day to fix it. You can't go wrong with staying here!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

  We could not have asked for anything more. This unit is very well maintained, and is exactly as pictured. It is clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, with high quality bedding and pillows. In fact, my fiance made sure we noted the kind of mattress, as he says he slept better than he can remember in a long time. There were enough kitchen amenities that we were able to cook a full breakfast every morning. There is even a toaster and blender! There are two major grocery stores 5 mins away. The closets are stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, books, etc. The beach is literally steps away. I know every listing says that but it was so close that when I forgot something in the condo, I ran back up and grabbed it, and was back in 5. Finally, the property manager was super helpful and responsive. I received my deposit back within a couple of days. If/when we return to Kauai, I hope this unit is again available. The location of the resort is perfect, as it is midpoint between north and south shore.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

  Great central location. Updated. Great King bed. Very clean and quiet. Will be staying there again. Been to Kauai many times, can't beat it for the money.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

  The property was very clean; the pictures are accurate. We had everything we needed for our stay except there could have been a few more spices provided for cooking. The location was good for getting around the island in both directions. The check in was super easy, the person who checked us in at the front desk was very nice. We ate at the Hukilau Restaurant in the hotel right next door and the meal was wonderful. We would book here again and would recommend it to friends and family. The rental experience went very smoothly, no problems at all.

  We spent 11 days here in late March 2011 - our third trip to Kauai, and our second staying at Plantation Hale. For my wife and I, as well as our 13 yr old, it's an awesome place to visit and this unit was ideal. The perfect combination of amenities, location, and value. It's an easy walk to groceries, coffee shops, restaurants, a walking beach, and most anything you'd need while here. Not necessarily completely quiet (the main road is out back, but invisible and not too noisy due to thick vegetation) but for us it was never a problem. Nothing seemed too busy while we were there, and everyone (everyone!) was friendly and helpful. In addition, the entire booking procedure was easy and very straightforward. We hope to come back next year!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

  My husband and I stayed in this unit last year...it is clean and freshly remodeled. The location is very convenient - it is easy walking distance to the beach, stores and restaurants. Plus you have a partial ocean view from the lanai! The building is very well built so you don't hear noises through the walls! Plus the price is right!!
