Welcome to our Riverfront Mountain Getaway directly on the Hiwassee River. Our cabin is ideal for couples looking for that romantic getaway!!
Besides just relaxing and enjoying a fire by the river, you can try your luck fishing for trout with over 1 mile of wadeable access from the property, swimming, kayaking, and hiking all right here on the property!!
The cabin is perched on a moderately wooded 1 acre lot overlooking the Hiwassee river with over 200 feet directly on the river.
We are located halfway between the towns of Hayesville and Murphy, in the small community of Sweetwater.The local saying here is we are 2 hours from everywhere (Atlanta,Asheville,Knoxville,Chattanooga,Greenville). We are just 10 minutes from beautiful Lake Chatuge , where you can enjoy various water activities. Other local places of interest include the John C Campbell Folk School,where craftsmen and artists come from all over the world to learn and hone there skills. Brasstown Valley Resort and Golf. Nantahala and Ocoee river whitewater rafting, are just a few examples of the many activities nearby.
After a day of sightseeing or enjoying a day on the river come back and relax in the cabin , which is a new 2 bedroom (1 bedroom downstairs and 1 bedroom in the loft). The interior of the cabin is done with solid hickory floors throughout,a spiral staircase to the loft, upgraded Stainless appliances, solid granite countertops in kitchen and bath. The bath is done with travertine floors and walls in the shower. For those visiting in the cooler months you will enjoy stepping out of the shower to the heated floor. For entertainment we have a collection of various board games and books. There is a 50 inch TV with DVD and video library in the living room. For those who like to enjoy a late night show in bed there is a 22 inch wall mount TV in the master bedroom. We have decorated the cabin with upscale furniture but, with a casual look to make you feel right at home!! Because of all the above,our location on one of the most scenic sections of the river, easy access with private drive off the paved road, and since we live here we are available to assist in your time here, we are considered to be among the most desired cabins in the area!!
