Check out one of the many parks in the area including Volunteer Park, the gem of Capitol Hill, featuring the Seattle Asian Art Museum, a conservatory, koi pond and an old battlement of a water tower which boasts, at the top of 108 steps, one of the best views of the city. Another local attraction is the Washington Park Arboretum, a spectacular urban green space on the shores of Lake Washington just east of downtown Seattle and south of the University of Washington.
