Lexington is home to the Virginia Horse Center, two universities (Washington & Lee and Virginia Military Institute), museums, entertainment venues, wineries, as well as an abundance of historic properties, shops and varied activities.
Rental Options: Weekly rentals of the entire residence at $1400+ per week are preferred/desired.
Owner will entertain shorter-term/weekend rentals of only the 1st floor. Contact the owner for short-term rates/pricing. Note: The two story residence is structured to accommodate the owner’s suite on the 2nd floor and nightly/shorter term rentals on the entire 1st floor. The 1st floor has its own entrances and contains 3 bedrooms, a den/living area 2 full baths--one with walk-in shower and 1 with steam shower--and an au pair kitchenette (sink, microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, dishes, etc.). The shorter term rental option is an excellent substitute when the local hotels are booked, or travelers desire the peace and quiet of the countryside.

Located 8 miles southwest of Lexington, this home can serve as an ideal base for a short getaway or an extended stay in one of the most beautiful and historic areas in southwestern Virginia.
Amenities include radiant floor heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans, enchanting grand porches, gas grill, fully equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace; satellite TV with DVD, steam shower, soft linens, comfortable furnishing and beds. The living areas have high ceilings with exposed beams and a lovely stacked stone fireplace. The furnishings invite guests to relax and feel at home. The large dining room can easily accommodate a seated dinner for ten with great circulation among the 1st floor rooms and porches for large cocktail parties and gatherings. The kitchen has up-to-date appliances, chef’s range, and ample work/counter space. The master suite and adjoining bath are on the main level with the lower level providing an “au pair” kitchenette, 2 full baths and 3+ bedrooms with access to the lower level covered porches as well.
The property can serve as an excellent venue for hosting and entertaining friends and family who may be attending events at W&L or VMI (parents’ weekends, alumni gatherings/reunions, graduations, etc.) or participating in activities at the Virginia Horse Center. With more than 1200 square feet of covered porches accessible from the main rooms via 7 pairs of oversized French doors, this home is ideally suited for hosting indoor/outdoor events, such as pre-wedding parties/dinners, fundraising events, cocktail parties or country gatherings for medium sized groups (70-100).
In addition, the owner is available to assist with planning and to provide a variety of food services for guests--from full meals to catering an event.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Weekly Rental: Entire Residence $1,400* per week (2 adults, children under age 12
and pets) – Additional guests @ $40 each per night.
For nightly/weekend rates: Contact owner for pricing, minimum stay, deposit, etc.)
*Plus applicable sales and lodging taxes.
Reservations require 50% deposit with signed rental agreement.
Balance + security deposit of $500 is due 60 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation policy is 60 days prior to arrival.
Cancellations less than 60 days will depend on re-renting.
