My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon for eight days. The condo is soooo nice and has everything you would need. I especially LOVED the "rain" shower. It has a lovely view of the golf course and is quiet and clean and peaceful. There was nothing we needed that wasn't already provided (esp. GREAT beach chairs and boogie boards) not to mention the many and varied kitchen appliances! The owners fielded a silly phone call about the cable/tv (all "user error" based on our own tv at home) and was so congenial and patient with me. Great deal, great place!

We came accross this listing and immediately fell in love with the condo! After speaking with Kathy via e-mail, we knew that this would be the place we wanted to be during our stay in Maui for our wedding. The condo was AMAZING and had any and everything that you could ever want or need. We would highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing, luxurious, home away from home!

The Perfect Escape

We stayed one week in this immaculate and fantastically equipped condo. We found it to be very clean and nicely decorated. The resort area was very quiet and the views from the lanai were gorgeous. There was a great kitchen with every kind of appliance and dishware we could possibly need. We even found some spices, olive oil etc for cooking. The bedroom was very comfortable as were the two bathrooms. Really appreciated the wi-fi and the free calls to Canada and mainland US. There was great beach stuff supplied - comfortable chairs, a large umbrella, boogie boards, beach mats, a cooler bag and even a beach bag !! Very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Wonderful condo unit

We recently returned from a wonderful two-week stay at this condo unit. Everything is as described and shown in the posting on the VRBO site. The location is ideal for easy access to the beaches, shops and restaurants of Wailea (although as others have mentioned, there is a bit of a climb on the ten-minute walk back from the nearest beachfront area). The unit and surrounding condo property is very well maintained. We really enjoyed our morning breakfasts on the lanai every day. The view of the golf course and off to the ocean is very scenic and relaxing. The provision of beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards etc. made for easy and enjoyable trips to the nearby beaches. We really appreciated the sense of caring that we got from Kathy in our communications with her. She was quick to respond to any questions that we may have had and truly seemed interested in ensuring that all was well and that we would have a good time. The test of any rental is would you recommend this to family and friends and we would most certainly do so when it comes to this unit. Thanks again to the Kathy and Darryl for everything.

Kathy and Darryl: I just got back from Maui and wanted to write and thank you so very much for allowing me to rent your condo. It couldn't have been more perfect! It's a fabulous condo in every way -- I loved the color scheme and design work, beautiful. It's in a great location, both within the complex and within Wailea. I've been to Hawaii probably a dozen times over the years and this was one of the best trips, thanks to the wonderful accommodations. The condo was so convenient to everything....restaurants, shopping and of course, the beach. The weather was perfect, sunny and 80 every day. It couldn't have been a better trip. Thanks again!

The nicest thing about this condo rental is that we could be gone all day exploring and doing crazy things, knowing that when we get back to the condo it is our quiet home away from home, ready for us to kick off our shoes and relax, and to enjoy the fantastic sunset views over the golf course and ocean. For eating we found the following to be exceptional: "808" restaurant; "Fred's" for festive atmosphere and excellent mexican food; "Duke's" view and Hula pie; Mama's Fish House for the most fantastically prepared food and view; Helicopter tour of Maui and especially Molokai; Snorkeling at the very end of the road past Makena (you wouldn't think it would be good with all the black lava rock going to the water, but under the water it is colorful and beautiful fish, turtles, and more). Thanks Darryl and Kathy, for making our vacation fantastic! We'll be back.

Condo was newly remodeled and the furniture was beautiful and comfortable. It was spotless and stocked with any incidentals you might need. The view overlooking the golf course to the ocean is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The owner was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend. Have stayed in this complex before but this is the nicest one we have seen.

This is a beatifully decorated condo, very comfortable and the description matched everything we experienced. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grand Champions. The condo was even more beautiful and luxurious than the pictures showed. From the plush carpet to the gourmet kitchen to the fluffy towels, we had everything we needed for a great trip. The first day of our stay, the property manager dropped by to say hello and drop off two new Tommy Bahama beach chairs...as we were headed to the beach! The sunset view over West Maui and the golf course was beautiful, and the lanai was a relaxing place to unwind after long days touring the island. The complex is very quiet, and pool areas were never crowded. If you like to spend time in Wailea, Grand Champions is in a perfect location, within walking distance to the Shops at Wailea as well as the Wailea beachwalk. This is truly an immaculately maintained, beautiful condo, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed at this beautful condo for our 35th annviversary for eight days in July. Kathy (owner) was very easy to work with and was extremely accomodating. The condo is extremely well equipped and the decor is right off the HGTV cable channel. Only one bedroom but found it to be very spaciuos. It was nice to have the two full baths. The area of Wailea where the condo is located was the nicest part of Maui. It is a scenic and quiet area that is more upscale. The condo itself is located in a very peaceful section with lovely grounds. Maybe the only negative was that you have to drive to the beaches of which there are many within a "few" minutes. We did not find this to be a drawback since a car is really needed on Maui anyway. All the beaches had very ample parking. A few of the activities we did and would suggest were a Luau (Marriot) and don't get prefered seating, sunset dinner cruise out of Lahaina, Road to Hana (full day), Snorkeling at Molokini or the beach to the right of the Marriot near condo, and visiting Haleakala. We visited the town of Lahaina in the evening for dinner and more nightlife. I would recommend this condo to anyone who likes a clean, well kept place with all the amenities and is trying to stay within a reasonable budget. My friends stayed at the Four Seasons down the road for 600.00/nt. and appreciated our place more. I also would suggest that you need at least 7 days to enjoy the island.

Perfect Honeymoon Hideaway!

My new wife and I spent two weeks in Maui for our honeymoon in May 2011 and this condo provided the PERFECT home away from home. This is the fifth condo I've rented in South Maui and it was my favorite by far. A real bargain for what you get. The upgraded kitchen was beautiful and equipped with everything we could have needed. The whole unit features quality, comfortable furnishings and is decorated very tastefully. The tall vaulted ceilings make the unit feel much more open and spacious than other units I've stayed in. The unit was also equipped with all the beach toys we could have asked for (Umbrella, boogie boards, cooler, chairs, etc.) and is located just minutes from many of Maui’s best beaches. The entire Grand Champions complex is immaculately groomed, quiet, and has a very safe and secluded feel. The owner, Kathy, was wonderful to work with; she had quick, helpful responses to all my questions and couldn't have been nicer. I would highly recommend this unit and owner to anyone planning a visit to Maui.

Beautiful condo with everything you could want. The furnishings are better quality than other condos of comparable price, and much more to my taste than the usual (blue/pink/white-wicker). There's a nice, relatively private lanai for viewing the ocean. As an added bonus, the Zubers are a pleasure to do business with. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely condo April 18-May 3/11. We have been going to Maui for 10 years, and this condo was the nicest by far. Even lovlier than the photo's and close to beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Dealing with Kathy was so easy, and the condo was clean and well maintained. What you see on their website is what you get--wouldn't hesitate to stay at this perfect condo again.

The condo was beautiful and perfect! It had every amenity a vacationer would need. This was our second trip to Maui and staying in a condo was so much better than a resort hotel. Location (Wailea) was easy access to anywhere on the island. Close to the beach, golf courses, shops and great restaurants. Quiet area to relax and enjoy Maui. It was "home away from home" for our week's stay. We were very sad to have to leave Maui and the condo. Can't wait to plan our next trip. Owners were wonderful to work with in planning our trip. My wife and I stayed at this condo for 15 nights and it exceeded all expectations!We have been going to Maui for 12 years and were married in Maui on the beach.We have stayed at the Hyatt,the Prince,Sheraton and many more.We both enjoyed the stay here better and will return.The view of the ocean and mountains over the golf course is great.The owners have decorated and furnished this unit to perfection.Spotlessly clean,everything that you need is their and the owners are more professional then any other place we have stayed at! The Zuber's Condo at Grand Champions is the Best! We have been to Maui many times and their's is the most comfortable, highest quality and the homiest place we have stayed in. This was pure joy! Better than the pictures and with more amenities than expected. It is very elegant, yet comfortable at the same time. Forget the AC and open the doors for a cross breeze from the trade winds. From the elegant walk-in shower, to the well-equipped kitchen, to the tote bag for your use at the beach, this place has it all. Explore the hidden beaches between Makena and the lava fields, watching for the spinner dolphins or whales (Nov to Feb). Breakfast and playing Cribbage on the lanai was our favorite time - warm, calm, quiet and a beautiful view. There is a tree that begs to be sketched, if you have that talent (alas, I do not). The owners are great - very informative, honest and flexible. Tennis? Right next door! Golf? Play the fabulous Wailea Emerald and Gold courses. They are more playable than Kapalua, are less money and have calmer and drier weather. The condo is right on the Blue course, another good choice. Or, go inland to Maui Lani. Sightseeing? This location is quicker to the Iao Needle, up-country (Makawao, Hali'imaile and Pukalani) and Haleakala Crater than from west Maui (Lahaina, Ka'anapali, Kapalua). Food? Now we're talking a slice of heaven! You are within minutes of two Chef Bev Gannon restaurants: Joes, next door at the Tennis Club, and Gannon's, at the Emerald and Gold courses (ask about their super happy hour). Her other restaurant, the first on the island, is the Hali'imaile Country Store, up country, and well worth a stop for lunch or dinner. Try the Kalua Pork Enchilada Pie or the ribs and definitely save room for the Pineapple Upside-down Cake - the best ever! Also try Longhi's at the Wailea Shops (fabulous veal or chicken marsala). Mulligan's at the Blue course clubhouse is fun and has the best mahi fish and chips plus nightly entertainment. Da Kitchen (local food), Fred's and Moose's in Kihei are less expensive, and good. We will be returning and will also recommend this villa to all our friends, so book early, as it is in demand. Aloha!

The condo was exactly as described and immaculately clean. The photos looked just like it did inside and out. Kathy was extremely helpful in answering any and all questions I had. I mistakenly thought that I had left something in the condo after our checkout(which I later found buried in the rental car) and Kathy was very quick to respond to me and contact the cleaning person to look for the item. I would highly recommend this condo to both family and friends. I would highly recommend the black sand beach south of the condo as we were swimming with sea turtles barely 10 feet off the shore. Big beach and so many other beaches are a very short drive away. Kihei is also a reasonably short drive away as well. I would highly recommend Sansei sushi(late night Thursday-Sat I believe for 50% off the menu!). Lunch at Ferraro's at the Four Seasons was excellent, mmm blueberry mojito, it makes me thirsty thinking about it! Kihei caffe for breakfast is a must, second best breakfast on the island behind The Gazebo.

After spending literally weeks searching for that perfect place to stay while visiting Maui I finally found it! My husband and I have just returned from 10 days at this condo and it couldn't have been more perfect! We couldn't have had a better experience right from my first contact with Kathy. She was more than accommodating to my questions and responded promptly. The condo itself is amazing! Beautifully decorated, clean, quiet and what a fabulous location! The Wailea area is beautiful! Lots of shops and restaurants close by. If you're a runner you'll either love or hate the hills in Wailea but guaranteed you'll love running by the ocean! I honestly cannot say enough about this property and the owners. When we are fortunate enough to return we will not hesitate to contact Kathy and hope for availability! Our stay in this wonderful condo could not have been more perfect!! I originally chose this condo because it was located in Wailea (the most beautiful part of Maui); the condo was described as newly remodeled; the pictures looked very attractive; and the owner was so available and open in her communications with me. My initial expectations were high, but the reality turned out to be so much GREATER! The condo was remodeled in the last year or so, and everything still looks BRAND NEW! It is far more beautiful than the pictures portray. It was spotlessly clean and all appliances worked perfectly and appeared to be brand new also. The owner, Kathy, was readily available via the internet before, during, and after our stay. She was very, very gracious even contacting us throughout our stay on Maui, inviting us to ask any questions we might have while staying there. Subsequently, she also asked if there were any items she could supply to the condo to make things more comfortable for future guests. I honestly had to answer that it is the most fully equipped rental we have ever occupied. Every day my husband and I walked along the coastline beach walk, which is only a couple blocks away. We also snorkeled at a number of beaches which were within a mile or so of the condo. We went ziplining and took some beautiful hikes too. I would love to recommend restaurants but the condo was so well equipped, and the lanai so gorgeous, that my husband and I chose to eat there each evening, rather than go out. As we did so, we listened to the romantic Hawaiian music CD's (also supplied by the owner, and played on the nearly new audio equipment in the condo), as we viewed a beautiful sunset each evening. I have already recommended this rental to many friends. We are so looking forward to returning for another visit, ourselves, as soon as it fits into our schedules.

A Gem in Maui!

My wife and I got married in July and had our honeymoon in Maui, and we could not have asked for a more amazing condo to stay in! It is spacious, modern, fully updated and fully furnished with beautiful furniture. The area of grand champion in Wailea is also a perfect location for short drives to numerous beaches in Wailea, Kihei, and is also within 20 minutes drive from Kahului airport. Our stay was great, and it's largely thanks to a wonderful place to come home to after a day's worth of activities. And I haven't gotten to the owners - Kathy is such a warm and great person! We had some problems with our Paypal payment, but she was always so patient, understanding and just plain and simply fantastic. We will definitely come back again to Maui, and definitely link up again with this amazing condo!! Thanks Kathy!

I must say this is one of the very best condo's we have ever stayed at. Everything was just perfect, comfortable, spacious and well equiped. We did not need a thing; everything we needed was there (except our own food of course). The condo is very lovely and the photo's are right on; nothing at all misleading in them. The grounds of the Grand Champions are lovely as well and well maintained. Awesome sunrises & sunsets from the lani. Highly recommend this unit and this property! We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I have fallen in love with Wailea! Sometimes it is hard for couples to agree on things but this is definitely ours! We always feel right at home here and have a great time. The Zuber's have given us wonderful accomodatlons to enjoy this special place. The ameneties are right up there with the Four Seasons but you feel like you are relaxing in your own home! Attention to detail has not been missed in any aspect of this great condo. And Kathy could have not been more helpful and accomodating with our arrangements and making sure that we have everything we need. We will be back for whale watching season in February and this will be the place we come back to!

Our recent vacation to Maui was absolutely wonderful! The condo was amazing. . . we enjoyed a view of the beautiful beach and Wailea Golf Course. The condo was immaculate. . . it really felt like home! It is beautifully decorated and the location is awesome. We were able to walk or bike to the beach and shops, which was nice and convenient. During our stay we met a family staying in the area for vacation. When we showed them the condo we were staying in, they were in awe of the entire place and how it felt so homey. We would definitely recommend this condo, and we plan to go back!

As several reviews report, this property is exactly what it advertises itself to be. Luxury living. The complex was absolutely quiet our entire visit. The unit is immaculate, modern, comfortable and well equipped. We like to cook and literally found everything we could want. The beach amenities were plentiful and in new condition...can't say enough good things about this property. We feel lucky it is available for rent!

Recommended for:Families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Excellent condominium. If you're looking for a rental unit that scores "5 stars" and presents itself exactly as it is described, Grand Champions unit #158 is the one you should rent. We're well seasoned travelers and have stayed in many units and this one ranks among the top for high-end value for dollars spent. Everything in and about the condominium exemplifies quality and excellent taste. It is new throughout, and every detail has been addressed by the owners to ensure an enjoyable stay. The Wailea location, our favorite area of Maui, is perfect for easy access to all the best beaches, shopping, and restaurants. The owners are great to work with and definately represent this property accurately. The complex is well cared for and well located. The unit is beautiful and tastefully decorated and equipped in a way that is far above the norm for a rental unit. The view from the lanai is exactly as pictured, and will not disappoint. On a scale of 1-5 stars, this is a "5 STAR".

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Wailea. The location of the property is just as described - it over looks the water and the fairway. It has been completely renovated - and looks brand new. Everything was done to the highest standards. We stayed for a week, and wished we could have stayed longer. It's like having a home away from home - everything you need is provided. We would definitely stay again - and plan to book soon. It was incredibly easy to book, and the owners are very committed to making your stay the best possible.

Great condo, well kept ,clean, nicely decorated, not a need to be had. The location was great for morning walks along the beach. We went snorkeling and boogie boarding at a different nearby beach each day, which made it even more fantastic and interesting.

I was so very fortunate to find this condo!! I have been to Maui many times and each time have been disappointed with one or more aspects of the vacation rental. Most often in the past cleanliness has been an issue, as well as the property has often been misrepresented- not offering privacy, views, or it was run down and worn out - not at all like the images provided! This condo is a 10/10. It was COMPLETELY renovated- right down to door knobs, towels, and a new can opener! It is fully equipped, very clean, with a modern, beautiful decor, nice location within the complex providing privacy and quiet- no road traffic, very little foot traffic (it is on the golf course so you will hear the ping of golf balls occasionally as they tee off at the 7th hole). Loved the FREE long distance to Canada, the water filtration system is a health PLUS!, and the lanai was a beautiful place to just read and snooze. It was so nice to arrive after my flight and feel immediately at home and relaxed. I should also add that dealing with the owners was an absolute pleasure. I could tell they were 'genuinely' interested in seeing I was well taken care of and my needs were met. If you are thinking of a stay in Wailea (my favorite part of the island!), this is a very reasonably priced condo with sooooo much to offer! Great value!! ( An additional note: all of the condo complexes throughout the island have landscape crews working throughout the week so just be aware that no matter where you are staying these lovely people are tending to the lush gardens and landscape- just so ya know!) Wow, what a beautiful condo! The pictures are nice but don’t even show just how great this condo is. Everything that the owners said was completely accurate….peaceful, romantic, beautiful sunsets, sparkling clean, with everything brand new and upscale in every way. We felt so pampered and very fortunate to have found such a nice place. We would definitely stay there again and again!

We spent a very relaxing week on Maui to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and your condo was no small part of it. Kudos on the decor and the quality of your unit's furnishings and amenities. We knew the setting would be ideal as we have stayed in Grand Champions before. The condo was even better appointed than your photos revealed. The proximity of Grand Champions to all our favorite Wailea snorkeling beaches and the mai tais at Longhis was simply icing on the cake. Thanks so much for a lovely stay. We certainly hope to return soon. Unit 158 no ka oi.
