Welcome to the most awesome LEGALLY LICENSED BLACK DIAMOND VACATION LODGE located right on Little Cottonwood Road. The Lodge is 4,000 sq. ft. You can rent 1/2 of it (2000 sq. ft - sleeps 8; both floors have kitchens, family rooms, laundry, etc. etc.) If you have a large group that needs 6 bedroom/4 baths (sleeps up to 15), then this Lodge will be perfect for you and your guests. We've just finished remodeling, fully-furnishing and decorating the Ski Lodge in classy Lodge decor. We know that you'll be pleased with the quality and uniqueness of this vacation rental. Our property is located just ten minutes down the canyon, home of Alta and Snowbird Ski Resorts. The Black Diamond Vacation Lodge is situated on a very secluded park-like acre of land. It is surrounded by huge privacy pine trees. There are 2 full kitchens, 2 washers/dryers, 2 ski locker rooms, pool table, 2 family rooms with HD Flatscreen TV's, private hottub, 4-car garage, 2 decks, 2 fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, a serving bar, wireless internet service, etc. etc. If you are looking for a very cozy & private Utah retreat for you, your friends and family members, you'll be very pleased with our property. Why the Owner Chose Sandy
It's been a dream of ours to live near the ski resorts & mountains in Utah. That dream became a reality in 2008! We enjoy an 8500 square foot home, nestled on an acre of privacy park-like landscaping. 2000+ square feet of which is the Black Diamond Retreat (totally seperate outside entrance). Utah has "the best snow on earth"! Salt Lake City, Utah was also the home of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. It has been a pleasure to welcome guests to ski the amazing ski slopes of Utah. We have awesome outdoor activities year-round. From waterskiing & wake-boarding, snow-skiing & snowboarding, to incredible camping, hiking & biking, Utah's four seasons accomodate all of our family's hobbies and interests! This year we purchased the Black Diamond Vacation Ski Lodge. It is awesome!! It is located on Little Cottonwood Road and just a few blocks North of our home.

You'll enjoy a very roomy, 2,000 square-foot RETREAT unit OR 4,000 square-foot SKI LODGE, with cozy lodge decor, including two fireplaces, which add to the ambience that you won't get any place else. This property is located at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon, a few miles west of Snowbird Ski Resort. Very close to all the main ski resorts, excellent restaurants, movie theaters, and 30 min. from the Salt Lake International Airport. Sixteen years ago, when we met and got married, we quickly decided we would plant our roots in the great state of Utah. We absolutely love the mountains; and camping, 4-wheeling, hiking, biking and skiing are some of the passions we love to do as a family. When the opportunity arose to buy our dream home at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon, we jumped at the chance. We now enjoy breath-taking views of the mountains everyday! And waking up to that, how could we not want to share just how lucky we are to have such great access to do the things that bring our family so much enjoyment? Snowbird and Alta are amazing resorts and we truly enjoy skiing the world's best powder!!

Sonja "inherited" our large group when our reservation with UBVR was not available at the last minute (and they kept our money). She took such good care of us and we were able to rescue our long-awaited family reunion! The house has a unique floor plan and the accommodations were cabin-like. We definitely were glad to find this rental--wish we would have found it first! Sonja was extremely quick in answering questions and making sure we had what we needed.

We are repeat vacationers to the Black Diamond Lodge. Our famly had the best time staying here. We spent Easter vacation there, & our kids even had an Easter egg hunt on the front lawn. Then we also got snow!! I was thrilled that the owner had the steps, & driveway plowed by the time we woke up! They were very accomodating, & made sure we had an enjoyable stay. The first time we came was at Christmas time. Both of our visits have been so great! The sleeping arrangements, & feel of the "cozy lodge" is what we really like. We were 8 guys for a ski week from Montréal Canada. The House is wonderfull and the rooms are perfect. We had 8 separates beds and the geographical situation is perfect, right at the begining of the canyon, Thank you for our host Sonja and Amberlie you were gorgeous, very gentile and available for all our requests. Hope to see you next year. I highly recommand this house. Thank you

The Retreat is a great location for Snowbird and Alta skiing. Both resorts were a short drive (10 miles or less) up the little Cottonwood Canyon. Our family of 7 (Parents and 5 kids) was comfortable and the kitchen was great for dining in-house. The owners were very helpful with all of our needs and questions. We can't wait to get back to the great Utah Skiing!

We really enjoyed Black Diamond Retreat!! We had plenty of space and all of the comforts of home! Skiing is right around the corner and nightlife is a short 25 minute drive! The hot tub was an added bonus at the end of a long ski day, not to mention the fabulous mountain view from the backyard! :). We appreciated the cleanliness, space, and loved the "ski chalet decor"! The owners are more than accomodating and so attentive! We are so thrilled to have found this home away from home and look forward to going back to Black Diamond Retreat next year!!!
