Fabulous visit to Normandy!

We spent a wonderful week at here this summer with our two kids. It was a lovely setting to come back to after a day exploring Normandy. Caroline was an amazing host, and had a delicious and kid friendly meal prepared for us when we arrived. The kids loved the animals (even the mean goose!) and are still talking about the rope swing and tree house. We stayed in the gite which was perfect for a family. The setting was idyllic, relaxing, and welcoming. We recommend it in the highest! Thanks Caroline and Tony for such a memorable week!!

Quaint, country B&B. Highly recommended!

This B&B is definitely off the beaten track, which makes it so wonderful. It is very much in the country far from anything really. It's at least a 10-15 min drive to get to the next "town." All that said, it is close enough to do day trips to D-Day beaches and Mont Michele. There were 4 of us staying here in a gite and we can't say enough wonderful things about it. Carolyn and her husband provided us with a wealth of information, drinks, food, and stopped in to provide fresh towels and clean. If we come to Normandy again, we'll definitely stay here!

Owner response:Alex and family , it was a pleasure having you stay , thank you for choosing to stay at La Noette

We greatly enjoyed our two nights at La Noette. The rooms were clean, comfortable and lovely. The grounds are amazing with gorgeous landscaping and a bounty of flowers. Be sure to take a stroll down the lane--you may see a fox or two as I did! A small menagerie greets you as you arrive--doves, chickens, and a not-so-friendly goose. Kids would love it. There were some lovely suites available as well as a nice gite, which would be perfect for a family. Carolyn and Tony were very gracious, friendly hosts who went out of their way to ensure a nice stay. Carolyn cooked a last-minute dinner for us so we wouldn't have to go into town after a long trip and even offered one room for free when we could be accommodated just 2 nights rather than the four we had requested. The room rates were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend a stay at La Noette if you want a homey, warm, relaxing experience in this beautiful area of France.

Owner response:Thank you for your kind comments, we certainly enjoyed you visiting us. Best wishes Carolyn and Tony

A home away from home.

We had a fabulous stay at La Noette. Carolyn and Tony were wonderful hosts. The farm is a great place for the kids to run and play, and I never worried about their safety. We enjoyed the comforts of being home, and Carolyn, who owned her own French Restaurant for several years, prepared some delicious meals for us. The duck confit and paella were incredible and her desserts were amazing. I highly recommend this lovely farmhouse if you are visiting the Normandy area and need a great place to escape. You will enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the french countryside while staying here. Carolyn and Tony with their friendly, warm personalities will make your stay a brilliant one. I forgot to mention, their little mascot, Fleury, a friendly white french poodle, along with a very vocal and friendly white goose will also welcome you when you arrive!

Owner response:Tom , thank you for staying with us , your party of 13 were great fun , we enjoyed sharing time with you and seeing the children enjoy the freedom, Florrie missed you all . wishing you all the best from Carolyn Tony and Florrie

Wonderful hospitality and care

My husband, son and I were so happy to be able to return to La Noette for an additional stay and enjoy Carolyn and Tony's unparalleled hospitality (as well as the beautiful setting!). As we were arriving on December 26, Carolyn and Tony took particular pains to contact us ahead of time time to help make sure we would have everything we need upon arrival given the holiday and Sunday store closings. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay and enjoy!

We really enjoyed our Normandy trip, made all the better by Carolyn's delicious meal and Tony's good advice on what to see. After our long drive, it was wonderful to have Carolyn cook for us (as prearranged) that evening. We enjoyed the English TV stations, the comfy beds, and the cozy atmosphere. Our children loved that toys and books appropriate for their ages were available. This memorable vacation was made even more so by our gracious hosts! Thank you again!

Owner response:Thank you for choosing to stay with us at La Noette, we enjoyed meeting you and your lovely children. Once again thank you Kindest regards Carolyn and Tony

We had a wonderful week in the comfortable, homey 2 bedroom gite of Carolyn and Tony. The property is beautiful, with lovely gardens and warm, friendly hospitality. The location is out of the way, so you bask in the quiet peaceful countryside, but close enough to a wide variety of day trips to experience Northern France. We would highly recommend this to anyone.Thank you Carolyn and Tony for taking such good care of us!

Owner response:We thank you for staying at La Noette, very much enjoyed meeting you both , you were super quests to have around. Hope you will keep in touch , carolyn and Tony

Peaceful, beautiful accommodation with gracious hosts - wonderful for children

We stayed in the two bedroom gite, which was beautiful and had been remodeled to a high standard. We also spent one night in the B&B portion of the farmhouse and enjoyed a delightful breakfast. Our hosts, Carolyn and Tony, were extraordinarily helpful about the logistics of travelling abroad and extremely knowledgeable about area attractions. They were also very accommodating of our 2yr old son, providing toys for him to enjoy on our stay and a lot of good advice on local activities he would particularly enjoy. The free Wi-Fi connection was a wonderful addition that helped us keep connected to friends and family. (My husband also tremendously enjoyed having the British television channels.) Carolyn and Tony managed to strike the perfect blend of giving us an experience where we felt like we had a lot of privacy, but that they were always available to help with anything we might need.

Owner response:Pleased to hear you arrived home safely , we loved having you here, especially little Ben, we will look forward to seeing you again at the end of the year, thank you for staying at La Noette Love, Carolyn and Tony

We just returned home from a month in France. Carolyn and Tony welcomed us into their home after a long flight and a long drive. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, we enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and our visits with them. Their farmhouse is lovely, a wonderful setting in the country, away from it all but close to everything!

Owner response:Thankyou for staying at La Noette, it was a pleasure for us meeting you all. Best wishes Carolyn and Tony

Lovely week in Normandy

We absolutely loved staying at La Noette. With our family of 5, plus my in-laws, it was so nice to find a house that would fit all of us so comfortably. After several very long days of sightseeing it was so refreshing to come to the peaceful countryside and just relax. My children loved the horse, duck, goose and chickens - and especially the dog. We really appreciated the great sightseeing advice from Tony and really enjoyed our travels throughout Normandy with his help. We would have loved to have dinner cooked by Carolyn but we didn't get back to the Gite before 10pm everynight. But the cake she made for our arrival was wonderful! What a wonderful way to spend a week in France.

Owner response:Thank you for staying at la Noette, it was a pleasure for us meeting all your family. Very best wishes Carolyn and Tony

Convenient Location, Charming Setting, Wonderful Hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Noette with its country setting and farm atmosphere. We also liked the animals that roamed the grounds, especially their dog, Florie, and a large un-named white goose. The WiFi was also greatly appreciated. We found the one bedroom gite (studio) to be very comfortable and charming. Carolyn and Tony were great hosts. They helped orient us to the area through conversation, literature, and a great map that Tony lent us. They just went out of their way to be helpful. There was easy access to the places we most wanted to see; D-Day beaches, the American Cemetery, Mont Saint-Michel, and Sainte Mere Eglise. All-in-all our visit to Normandie was one of the best experiences of our lives. We heartily recommend La Noette to anyone visiting the area.

Owner response:Debbie and Tim, it was a pleasure having you here at La Noette, thank you for your kind comments, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Love from Carolyn Tony and Florrie

Beautiful with hospitality

La Noette for us was a really fantastic find. A REAL Norman farmhouse situated in the REAL Norman countryside, surrounded by REAL Norman dairy farms. All this, just a few minutes from three bakeries where you can find each morning some of the best croissants anywhere, and a fruit vendor with a great selection of fresh fruits, local cheeses and good wine. And to top it all off, Carolyn and Tony welcomed us with traditional British hospitality, with the help of Flori the wonder dog, goosey gander and friend clucky hen, Chessie cat, Henry horse and nearby cows by the hundreds. Carolyn will amaze you with her unlimited knowledge of the area from where to find a realtor to the really difficult - where one can get a good cup of espresso. La Noette is clean and cozy in a wonderful setting. We will never forget lovely evenings on the lawn eating local cheeses, or wondering through the enviable flower garden (lupine to die for). As if that were not enough, the beaches and Mont St. Michel are within easy commute. Take my advice, stay off the main roads and let your Navi take you on the roads less traveled. Of course you may never get to your destination if you stop to explore all the interesting villages you will find along the way. Carolyn and Tony, thank you so much for such a memorable holiday.

Owner response:Sharon and Jim, it was a delight having you stay here with your 2 little dogs , Florrie still lives in hope of them returning. Thank you for the lovely comments you have put on our VRBO site, we are happy you enjoyed your stay as much as we enjoyed you all. Best Wishes Carolyn Tony and Florrie

This has to be one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in! I recently took my parents to Normandy for a weekend and we were all so pleased with our overnight stay at La Noette - it practically made our trip. Set in the lovely French countryside, the house is halfway between the historic D-Day beaches and the beautiful Mont St. Michel, so it was a perfect location to check out both sites. Carolyn and Tony are wonderfully gracious hosts, and their little dog Flori is as cute as a button! They keep their house neat and clean, their kitchen full of wonderful smells (Carolyn even cooked us a delicious 4 course dinner with wine for a small added fee), and the pictures are more than accurate about how charming and beautiful their property is. Definitely a great place to stay for couples and families alike.

Carolyn and Tony were wonderful hosts during our recent stay at La Noette. The gite is bright, clean, and convenient to the sites of surrounding areas. We truly enjoyed all the literature provided that pertained to the DDay invasion. It made our day trips much more meaningful. We hope to revisit someday. Bill & Laura Gig Harbor, WA
