Built during the Dam Days, by Bill and Hertha Moore, with Hungry Horse Dam concrete and old-growth Douglas fir from the Rex Brown sawmill, in Coram, the Moore House is solid as a rock. Warm and comfy in Winter and cool and airy in summer, you will relish your stay in the Moore House.
Nestled next to Abbot Creek and the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, the Moore House looks south to Columbia Mountain and Badrock Canyon. Just 400' from U.S. Highway 2, access is easy in winter. West Glacier and Glacier National Park are just 9 miles away and Big Mountain Resort is only 20 miles away.
The grounds consist of 2 acres of formal gardens and lawns - ideal for hosting outdoor parties, barbecues and family reunions - and 3 1/2 acres of native forest. There is lots of wildlife and birds to enjoy, with deer, elk, moose and bear frequenting the property, so keep a sharp lookout when you are in the woods.
Canyon Foods, in nearby Hungry Horse, has an excellent butchery and groceries and more shopping is available in Columbia Falls, just 8 miles to the west.
There is lots to do outdoors with world-class recreational opportunities in Glacier National Park and the Flathead National Forest. For those who seek adventure, whitewater rafting on the Middle Fork, hunting and fishing in the Flathead National Forest, hiking and climbing in Glacier and skiing and snowboarding at Big Mountain beckon. For those who prefer to just relax, enjoy the tranquility of your own holiday resort and the amenities of the Moore House.

Whether it's white-water rafting, fishing, boating, skiing, hiking, hunting and all things outdoors, we love living here and think you will too.
