We are located on beautiful Kashwakamak Lake in Eastern Ontario's vacation region of Land-O-Lakes. Discover why Ontario’s Land O’ Lakes region is one of the greatest natural treasures in Canada! Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Shield, you’ll find forests as diverse as the activities available within them.

This beautiful cabin is just one of the many we have. We are the proud owners of a almost 100 year old fishing camp called Fernleigh Lodge. It has been in my family since 1981, so over the past almost 30 years we have added facilities and updated conveniences to make our cabins more comfortable. With this we've also worked at keeping things in as natural a state as possible. Here at Fernleigh we strive to keep our customers coming back year after year. We are very proud of our beautiful place and work hard to keep it neat and clean. You will fall in love with the breath taking views and the wonderful, unspoiled setting.

When you come here you will find we do everything we can to make sure your stay with us is unforgettable. What is really nice about our place is that you have your own quite cabin but are close enough to mingle with others if you choose to. We are also on site all the time if there is anything you may need. We have a full service Dinning Room where we serve our guest 3 meals a day. We also have bait, boat rentals, gas and a store on site as well.

Kashwakmak Lake is 15 miles long and is part of the Easter Ontario Canoe Route. Kashwakamak is a walleye hot spot, but it is most famous for it's small and large mouth bass, that will keep you busy all day long. Northern Pike, Perch and many types of pan fish are also very easy to find.

  • Staying at Fernleigh in October was very enjoyable. The lodge is quiet, the fall colours abound and the hiking was ideal. My friend and I stayed for 2 nights, accompanied by my dog and we all completely enjoyed ourselves and the surroundings. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

  • I stayed at this cabin this past fall, it was wonderful. The cabin was very nice and the lodge (Fernleigh Lodge) is a beautiful place to be. The lake is amazing, very nice and clean and very peaceful. I am already book for next year!!! A++++++++

  • We have had the pleasure of visiting Lake Kashwakamac for the last 10 years. We have been staying with Fernleigh Lodge for 7 of those years spending the Canadian Thanksgiving there. And have already reserved the Chemong #5 again for next year. This is the first year we stayed in this lodge and it was great. There was plenty of room for everyone and this being a very cold year the gas fireplace was an added bonus my dog never left the fireplace all week. My mom who is 82 thought and appreciated the ramp that lead into the front porch that extends the length of the lodge and into the lodge this was great so she did not have to climb stairs especially at night. The lodge was very clean inside and out the beds for the most part were comfortable. The 1.5 Bathrooms is a very good idea as no one had to wait. This is the one weekend I look forward to all year long as this is my fishing weekend and we always catch fish (we mostly go after the large mouth bass)more in the summer months than later in the year but we catch our fish take pictures then we put them back for next year but the fish are always healthy and with very good colour and fat. And last but not least what can I say about Kevin and all the people that keep Fernleigh Lodge going even that late in the year their hospitality is the greatest and that is what keeps myself and my family going back year after year they are always there for you making sure you are comfortable and enjoying yourself. I look forward to seeing you next year so I can enjoy the spectacular colours and especially that maple tree down by the boat launch. See ya next year danny

  • I have been going to This lodge for 4 years now and stayed in this cabin.This is top notch accomadations away from home and in fact you may not even feel your away from home.Kevin has all the ammenities you could want at the lodge,Meals,boats,store,bait,gas docking and so on.Every year when the week comes to a end Kevin already knows to book me in for next year.First class,Thanks Kevin.
