  We rented this house Thanksgiving week for our Disney adventure. The house was comfortable, exactly as described, and very clean. The owner was great to work with and always quick to respond to questions and concerns. We had a wonderful week! We spent four days at the Disney parks, and spent one full day at home swimming in the pool and cooking a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner. Thank you for letting us rent your home for our fantastic Disney week!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  I stayed there for a fun get away weekend. The house is in OK condition, ALL the furniture is pretty old but not dirty. We had problems with the cable but it was no big deal for us since we didn’t go away to watch TV. The pool was dirty, we cleaned it, on the second day the pool guy came around and added the solution. We used the BBQ and had no problems at all, the bbq utensils on the other hand were nasty. If you want to be away from other people this house is not for you, the houses are literally back to back with no fence for privacy.

  Upon arrival, my family became immediately concerned when the outside of the home had an odor and the cob webs/bugs had not been cleared in months from the high entrance. The inside of the home seemed cleaned, but once we settled in, we found the toilets seats grimy, dust on every lamp surface, cob webs hanging from the ceilings, one shower door and the dishwasher in disrepair, which meant that we had to wash dishes by hand on our vacation!!! The pool was dirty and we later learned that it had not been cleaned in over a week. The cheap toaster burned bread on every setting and one of the cabinet doors kept falling off. The pots/pans/flatware/knives were very inexpensive and sorely used. We saw many silverfish and ants over the course of our 9 day stay. Other homes that we visited at this same price point and in the subdivision come with a fully furnished garage game room. This one had nothing but old furniture and no garage remote for our use. The bbq grill burned or undercooked everything because it cooks extremely slow or hot without apparent reason. The furniture in the living room is extremely worn and in real need of replacing and the patio furniture was either very worn or broken. There was no cable in 2 of the bedrooms, 1 of which had no TV at all. The 4th guest room had great cable, but the Master had only 6 local channels available. The master bath has unresolved water damage at the shower. We registered our concerns with the owner, who referred us to his Property Manager (PM) after he said that he would not refund our money for the house being dirty on the outside...even though I never once asked for a refund at that point. It took three additional calls to the PM and still many of these issues went unresolved. After returning home, we called the owner again to re-register our complaints and to request a partial refund. To this day we have only received our deposit back and not even an apology for the condition of this rental. Stay away from this unit. Rent from others. There are plenty of REALLY nice high quality rentals in this very subdivision.

  Owner response: This guest threatened that if we didn't give her a refund she would leave a bad review. We don't buy good reviews or pay people not to leave bad ones. The only comments she made upon arrival was about a odor outside of the house (pesticide/fertilizer odor), the pool being dirty and the refrigerator light hanging down. The property manager went over right away to address these issues. The pool water was not dirty but the walls stained from years of gas pool heating. We were notified day 5-6 of the dishwasher not working, and the repairman had to order parts for this repair. None of the other complaints were registered with us. We make no claim of a games room, and no one else has experienced these issues with the bbq gas grill (including our annual guest who stays for two months). We feel confident these complaints reflect bitterness for not receiving a refund from us.

Your kindness of an early check in and late check out was much appreciated. The weather was not great,but the home was just as you described with everything you needed.   Thanks so much Lou and Maria for your beautiful home away from home! So convienent to all the parks and our birthday celebration. It was nice to have a clean, comfortable and roomy place to put our feet up after a long day at the parks. The weather didnt cooperate much... but you certainly did with allowing us an early check in and late check out. Its so hard to find a nice place to stay that allows our dogs as well. Thanks again.   We just left our home away from home yesterday and I must say that if I have my way, we will never stay in a hotel again while on vacation! No one wanted to leave! The house was even more beautiful than the online pics showed, and we had more than enough room to give everyone plenty of space, yet still have a homey feeling while there. When we noticed that the a/c was not working properly, property manager Roger responded to our call right away and had it taken care of in no time and was very friendly. The house is so near to SuperTarget and Publix that quick runs to the store were no problem. We were also close to all the theme parks, making it no hassle to get there early and stay until late without feeling like the drive "home" was too long. We made use of the pool and it was so relaxing and so private! The one suggestion I would make is to remember to take extra TP, paper towels, etc., if you are used to staying in hotels (this was our first time in a home rental). Thank you, Lou and Maria, for sharing your home with us! We will definitely be ready to stay here on our next trip to Orlando. You were are real blessing to our family!

  Lou and Maria, Thank you so much for the use of Mickey's Manor on our recent trip to Orlando. The house was just as pictured. Perfectly set up for two families traveling together. The location for perfect. About five miles to the Disney Gates. Walmart, Target, and Publix all within ten minutes. Universal and Sea World are a bit further out, but an easy 15 to 20 minute ride. Be sure and tell your management team, a big thanks. Raquel could not have been more helpful. Thank you again for a wonderful time. I'm sure we'll be back.

  Now that we've stayed in both of Lou & Maria's 4 bedroom homes, it will be a hard decision which to rent in 2010! We love the locations of both. We truly appreciate our fur girls being allowed, so they too can enjoy a nice Florida vacation. Kudos to the new management group. Jean, Gene, Muff, Lexy & KC

Additional information about rental rates

Pool heating, if desired, is available for $25 per night. Cleaning fee refunded for seven or more night stay. Upon request, you can opt to pay a refundable $300 damage deposit or $65 damage waiver when the rental payment is due. $50 fee per pet (2 dog max). These options are invoiced separately. $100 cancellation fee. Full cancellation policy in rental agreement available upon request.
