Lazy Daze has it all: vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, custom tile baths, spacious porches, a gourmet kitchen, and an enchanting tree-house view of a quiet lagoon framed by a lush golf course fairway.
Built in 2009 and newly furnished, Lazy Daze is centrally located on Edward Teach Wynd in the heart of the island – just minutes by golf cart from the harbor, the beaches, the Bald Head Club, and the Maritime Market.
LUXURY AND COMFORT
On the first floor you’ll find three large, beautifully decorated bedrooms: one with a king bed, one with a queen, and the other with two twins. Each adjoins its own custom-tiled bathroom and each has a sliding glass door that leads to the deck and screened porch. We supply all bed linens and towels. A fully equipped laundry room is also located on this level.
At the stair landing, halfway to the main floor, is a secluded bedroom with a queen bed and its own adjoining full sized bath.
The spacious top floor is anchored by a large, open kitchen, which features stainless steel Kitchen Aide appliances and is equipped with everything you’ll need for eight people. Generous granite countertops provide plenty of room for several cooks to prepare and serve meals.
The adjoining dining area features a 40-inch flat screen HDTV and sliding doors leading to the screened porch that runs the entire length of the home. The porch is perfect for al fresco dining or for curling up with a book on a rainy day.
The living room is beautifully furnished with two plush sofas and a second mounted 40-inch flat screen HDTV. It adjoins the main floor powder room. You’ll also find a variety of books, games and puzzles.
OUT AND ABOUT
Getting around Bald Head Island is half the fun. Lazy Daze comes with two four-seater golf carts to transport you to one of the 42 public accesses leading to the Island’s 14 miles of beaches. We have everything you need for a day at the beach: boogie boards, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas and towels.
Your vacation also includes a temporary membership in the Bald Head Island Club, which is home to an 18-hole George Cobb-designed golf course. The Club features casual dining at the Pelicatessen or on the Peli Perch adjacent to the swimming pool. Upscale dining is available in one of the Club’s dining rooms. The Club also offers four newly resurfaced tennis courts, three croquet courts, and a fitness center. Junior camps are available during the summer season.
While on the Island, you’ll want to climb Old Baldy, the oldest lighthouse in North Carolina. Take a tour to learn about the Island’s pirate and Civil War history. Check out the Conservancy for information on turtle nests and nature walks. Rent a canoe or kayak to explore the Island’s creeks and marshes. Or try your hand at crabbing in the creek.
