Just returned from our 2 week stay in Maui @ Mauimikes condo.Kihei is our favorite place to stay when we visit the island and this condo was in a terrific location. It has the best sunset lanai of any condo we have rented. We would hurry back each night so we could have a drink and watch the day's end. Even saw the elusive "green flash" one night! We appreciated the convience of shopping, ample parking and wonderful beaches near by. If I am lucky enough to have another trip to Hawaii I will remember this condo as a pleasant place to stay.

Thank you Mike for letting us stay in your home. There didn't seem to be other clusters of condos around us so I felt like somewhat of a "local". We were able to walk to the coffee shop or cafe for breakfast and walk to the grocery store if needed. The unit had everything we needed, including washer & dryer. Definitely decorated with an updated look to it. With our short stay we did more excusions than we initially thought and were not able to sit on a beach for the day like we'd hoped, but we didn't need to with the ocean front lanai this unit had. We were able to relax just fine on the lanai. Being able to watch the whale activity and sunsets from the unit were an added treat!

a lot of rental condos have a bland and generic look and, worse, a stale and uncomfortable feel. that DOES NOT describe this property at all! besides being very clean and well appointed, here you can really kick off your 'slippahs' and feel at home for your stay on maui's sunny and perfect south shore. this condo felt like a vacation home I would want for myself! walking distance to several fun restaurants, bars and a grocery store, but removed enough -- and *directly* facing the ocean -- that all you ever hear are the waves crashing. in fact, all of this condo's windows and its large lanai overlook the ocean and away from the nearby businesses. I slept like a baby! :) across the street is a park with numerous activities and the beach here is a prime location for water sport lessons. seems like the owner provides everything you could need for a great vacation and I found everything to work and be in great condition. maui has so many gorgeous beaches, truth is you will probably be doing a lot of exploring by car around the island, and coming back to this property at the end of the day is a welcome home away from home.

My husband and I, plus our 3.5 year old stayed for 7 days at this beautiful oasis...it is in the BEST part of Kihei, within walking distance to many restaurants and a lovely children's park. Not far from our favorite beach Charley Young (?). Kihei retains the aloha beach town spirit much better than a resort area (which are not far in a car). This condo is perfect...comfortable with all the amenities you need, we ate outside on the lanai for every meal. You can gaze off into the ocean and look for whales, it has a lovely view of Molokini and Kahoolawe..I hope we can return. FAN-tastic.

Perfect place to spend a vacation.. Condo feels like home, puts you at ease as soon as you walk in. Offers all the ammenities you'd find at home and excellent accessibility to shops, restaurants, bars and beaches. Makes you feel like Kama'aina! The location is perfectly central in Kihei which provides easy access to major highways. The condo does offer spectacular views of the surrounding beach and mountain area. For those that like to explore: Restaurants - India Monsoon (Awesome sunset viewing), Wok Star and Cafe O'Lei (Dolphin Plaza), Flatbread (Location: Paia); Sight Seeing: Twin Falls, Haleakala National Forrest and Crater and La Perouse Bay; Shopping: Shops at Wailea and Paia.

I stayed at this property in mid-January 2011 and have nothing but good things to say. Specifically, we really enjoyed the balcony that spans the entire length of the unit (facing the ocean) which can be accessed from the living room and master bedroom. Additionally, the location of the property great as there was easy access to several beaches, hiking trails, restaurants and other amenities.

Wow, we loved this place. Even my teenage daughters, who pretty much hate everything, loved it here. The condo is almost perfect in so many ways. The location is ideal. Having a grocery store that is walkable is great for a family. We also found several beaches that were wonderful and only a short walk. The views are not to be missed...especially at sunset with a glass of wine on the lanai. The condo itself is well appointed and very clean. it is a great vacation condo. The layout is perfect with the bedrooms on opposite ends of the condo. It really has everything. The only complaint would be hearing the sound of an occasional crashing waves...wait, that's not so bad, right. Now that we are back in the cold Midwest, we are already planning next year’s trip and we most definitely would come back here to Mike’s condo.

My wife, adult son and myself spend the Christmas holidays in this condo. We all spent a great deal of time on the balcony because of the great view. Very convenient to many services. Also very clean.

The location of the condo is great, it is within walking distance of restaurants, beaches, markets, starbucks, and a grocery store, can’t beat that! The condo is well equipped with lawn chairs, sand toys, coolers, that was great. The view off the patio was awesome by far the best part of the condo! However the condo itself is in need of renovations. The bathrooms are very old and the wallpaper is very discolored and stained. The kitchen could also use a renovation old cupboards and back splash. The owners also have a lot of stuff stored in the closets and a lot of unnecessary stuff as well, such as empty boxes, old stained pillows, old picutres etc. The furniture was nice enough, comfortable beds and ok linens. The patio is very nice, however the patio doors do not open and close smoothly and it takes 2 hands and a strong man to lock the patio doors. The rug in the condo is covered by unnecessary throw rugs which were almost trechurious in places. We did however, think that Dorali did an awesome job helping us out and was very flexible and the condo in all was very economical. the building does have a renovated pool area and barbeque which was also nice.
Owner response:I am glad you enjoyed my condo and it's spectacular views and location. I am in the process of re-organizing and rehabbing. By the end of the year I will have a new storage and closest put in. The kitchen and bath are in the works with a full remodel. Timing TBD. The patio doors have been repaired.

My fiance and I loved staying in this condo. It was perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed. The view was great and made our stay a memorable one. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. The location was in the middle of everything with access to shopping, food etc. We can't wait to go back to Maui in the future hopping this condo will be available again.

What a great unit! Right on the beach in the middle of Kihei - perfect spot to be in town, a quick trip up-country and an easy drive to the beaches of Wailea. The unit has SPECTACULAR views, is brilliantly decorated with the perfect balance of island comfort and modern, up-to-date amenities. I watched the sunset over Molokai on the lanai every night and woke up to the sunrise and the sound of the ocean waves. The unit is on the 6th floor - neighbors are quiet and it truly is like being in your own oasis. I loved that the unit came with all the beach amenities - chairs, towels, umbrellas and even some snorkeling gear! Truly a turn-key solution for the perfect Maui experience.

Right from the start of my inquiries about this condo, I knew it would be a great experience. Dorli was prompt in replying to my questions, and was quick with returning the deposit after we returned. Her customer service skills are exceptional. The condo is in a great location, and has a well stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. Being able to do our laundry was also a huge plus. We were worried that the condo might be noisy because of its central location, but we were pleased to find that it was quiet and peaceful in the evening. I would recommend.

This condo is in the best area in Kihei. Everything is within walking distance, whether it be a good cup of morning coffee and a surf lesson or two,or a stroll around the various markets nearby. The condo is a really good size and with the double lanai, the views are a pleasure to wake up to every morning. We will definitely be back, and a huge THANK-YOU to Dorli (and her brother)for letting us have the use of their condo. All the beaches are within easy access, whether by car or foot. Our favourite restaurant was Cafe O'Lei, and our kids loved the Local Boyz Shave Ice Shack. We will definitely be back!! S. Hurrel

What a perfect way to spend a vacation.. inside, this condo really feels like home -- comfortable furniture (and beds!), plenty of space, in-unit laundry, nicely decorated, and everything you might need in the kitchen. That is, it feels like home, if your home was in a quaint, quiet beach town on the beautiful sunny south side of Maui! The location is perfectly central in Kihei -- nothing beats a morning walk to the nearby Bad Ass Coffee Shop! And from the lanai, you have a postcard view of a park and the ocean. As an added plus, the owner has beach and snorkel gear available in the unit free to borrow. Dang.. writing this has made me wish I was back there now! We'll definitely stay here again.. hopefully soon!

This unit is absolutely incredible. It has spectacular ocean views from every where in the condo. When we stepped inside, my wife, (also in her 50's) started jumping up and down, she was just so happy that I found such a wonderful Unit. Everything was very well done. Decoration nice, furniture beautiful, beds veryu comfy, even my 2 adults sons where happy to be able to come and go anytime. (Seperate door is great, night live too!) The beach is wonderfuy and we saw turtles many times. we spent almost every evening watching the beautiful sunsets of the lanai. We loved walking to all the wonderful restaurants. And my wife's favorite was the flea market 1 block up, she bought ALL the christmas presents for the family back home and nothing was more then $25 ea.) She is a bargain shopper and this was a perfect place for her. I loved the Kona coffe house right there and just hung out with great Hawaiian music. It was a fabulous vacation, thanks to your wonderful condo. WE WILL BE BACK! Mahalo, the Weber family
