You'll be close to the Bear Valley Mountain Ski Resort in winter, nestled in gorgeous, colorful trees in autumn, near hiking trails for spring and summer, right in the heart of nature's wonderland every day of the year. And in your very own neighborhood, you can enjoy Big Trees Village recreation facilities, which includes two pools, tennis, playground, horseshoes, shuffleboard and more.
There's plenty of room inside for family meals (the fixin' and the eatin'), a pool table in the heated, furnished garage (with a half bath and washer/dryer), WiFi, games around the fire, midday naps, lounging on the deck, you pick your leisure. The bedrooms can accommodate any mixed group with a king in one bedroom, queen in another, queen and a single with trundle in the third, and bunk beds in the loft.
The gas log stove keeps everyone cozy and gives you firelight for atmosphere. The deck is plenty big and the neighbors aren't looming nearby. Give yourself a break from the hectic pace, set this chalet aside for you and yours sometime soon! Sleeps the aforementioned ten, pets are welcome but please no smoking.

Why the Owner Chose Dorrington
We fell in love with Dorrington/Big Trees Village for a number of reasons. The 5000 ft elevation provides mild, pleasant summers, beautiful fall foliage, serene snowy winters (after the first snow, it doesn't usually melt until spring) plus a quick, easy drive to Bear Valley Mountain Resort for skiing and snowboarding, and colorful spring wildflowers and dogwood blossoms. Big Trees State Park is just down the road, so outdoor recreation is literally at your doorstep.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Our cabin is the perfect place for a family gathering place and works especially well for multiple families. There are plenty of beds, a big kitchen, a great deck, and comfortable furniture. We love playing pool downstairs in the converted garage. If people are sleeping upstairs, we don't disturb them while we're down there. There's heat so you'll stay cozy in the winter, too. And Wi-Fi allows us to even work from the cabin, too!
