Six adults spent a week in this lovely home which has a backdrop in a natural setting. We had daily deer sightings as they typically moved into the neighbor's yard. The house is very roomy and comfortable and affords everything we needed for our stay. It is one of the most fully furnished homes we have ever rented with amenities that we've always had to provide (toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, basic spices, laundry soap, etc). We enjoyed having many of the 'touristy' sights nearby and found wonderful restaurants in downtown Manitou Springs. You can get a good workout walking around the neighborhood as there are plenty of inclined streets (remember the altitude is probably more than you're accustomed to). We spent many hours on the deck enjoying the beautiful weather. The neighbors heard plenty of laughter (we were respectful of the hour). Property Manager, Steve, was prompt in welcoming us and offering assistance when needed. You'll love this house!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This home is fabulous with large living space and great outdoor areas. The home is luxurious, updated, and in a great location for touring all of the sights in the Pikes Peak area. We were in walking distance to restaurants, a public swimming pool, and the historic shopping/dining district. The neighborhood is on the boundary of the Red Rocks Open area for hiking, which we did every day. A trailhead begins at the top of the hill. The views from all levels of the home are breathtaking and being surrounded by nature was so nice and peaceful. Also, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Cliff Dwellings and all were less than a 10 minute drive. The amenities were perfect; they even included a "welcome" basket of popcorn and soda. All the dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc... were all new and first-class. We enjoyed cooking at the home and there is a grill just outside the kitchen door which was so convenient. The kids had the lower level for their hangout place, with TV, large couch and foosball. If you have younger kids, I noticed that there was a highchair, portable crib and other baby-related items in the laundry room as well as child-friendly dishes in one of the pantries. We loved the location and highly recommend this home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The perfect break for a few days after a long trip from Australia!! We had 3 adults and two children and more than enough space for all of us, kids loved having their own queen bed! This place had everything.....quiet, peaceful and relaxing, complemented by the sound of the stream outside. Layout inside was very workable and furnishings tasteful. Just loved sitting in the lounge with the big windows, cooking was made easy in very modern, well equipped kitchen and the kids just loved flaying foosball downstairs and having their own space. Master bedroom was gorgeous and main bathroom stunning. Location amazing, just up the road from the quaint little town of Manitou with great shops and eateries. We visited COG railway which was fantastic and only about 7 minutes away, and Garden of the Gods. Kids loved spending a few hours in the Penny Arcade in Manitou, but a lot of time was just spent relaxing in this gorgeous house which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone....a true gem!! If I am ever fortunate enough to be in Colorado again, I'll be back!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

I cannot compliment the home and the management enough. The home provided everything we needed for our vacation and more. The house was beyond my expectations and everyone that come on the trip with me complimented it daily. It was in a great location that was homey and private and it was the perfect distance from local attractions. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay in Colorado. And the price was also a great great deal! Thanks so much!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This property had everything we needed for a little weekend getaway! To start with, the property manager was extremely helpful. The house was easy to find, clean and had all of the basics you would need. There was plenty of space for our party of 5 adults and 2 kids. The sound of the stream behind the house is fantastic. (I wish the weather had been warmer so we could have opened windows and heard it better.) And it was fun to see the deer meandering around the neighborhood. My only complaint is that the description didn't indicate that the master bedroom is open to the living room below. You have visual-privacy (the walls are about head-height) but there is no sound-privacy. It didn't make a difference for the 2 nights we were there but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. All-in-all, I would recommend this property to others!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our time in Manitou Springs was very enjoyable, thanks largely to the wonderful accommodations! The 7 adults and 3 kids (10 mo, 4, 6) had plenty of room when we wanted to be together and plenty of room to spread out when we wanted privacy. We loved the kitchen, took advantage of all 3 outdoor areas, and the older kids spent hours playing in the stream. The only minor drawback was that the temps were very hot when we arrived and there's no A/C. We made sure to plan activities for the late afternoon when the sun warmed the house up the most and put all of the provided fans to use at bedtime. After the first two days, the temps cooled back down and we had no discomfort after that. Hot temps aside, our stay far exceeded our expectations. We loved the convenient location and the special touches provided by the owners (bottled water, snack bucket). It was like stepping into the lap of luxury for a week. Thanks for helping make our vacation one to remember!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed for 7 nights during the month of June with 4 small children, 4 adults and 2 senior citizens. Overall was pretty pleasant. The house is located away from the crowded downtown but not to far. It is situated on a creek which kept the kids busy. During our stay it was very hot and the house got very warm as the large picture windows are south/west facing with out any shades are curtains. Living room space is very nice but a little small for our party of 10. The kitchen is well equipped and functional with a nice balcony over looking the deck where we saw many deer and other animals. Except for the master bedroom which is very large, the other 3 bedrooms are fairly small although manageable. Same with the bathrooms. The basement is nice and cool. We had issues with the electronics but the property manager came over promptly and fixed the problem. All in all we enjoyed our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We feel very lucky to have discovered this house - it very much defined our vacation, which turned out to be -- like the house -- restful, easy, convenient, and pleasant. It was wonderful to be 5 minutes away from most of the sights that we wanted to see with our children, and we loved being so close to Manitou Springs, with its fine bookstore (the Black Cat), wonderful restaurants, and nice strolling vibe. The owners clearly went out of their way to think of everything - well beyond the call of duty or necessity, and there were many details (like the iPod speakers, the cozy throw blankets, the welcome snacks and waters, etc) that were simply thoughtful. We had a problem with getting wireless access (the issue turned out to be our computers, not the house's connection), and the owners sent their property manager over as soon as they received our message. They could not have been more responsive or helpful. The house is as lovely as it appears, and we loved having so much light and windows that overlooked the peaceful stream view. The kids really enjoyed watching for the neighborhood deer. Thank you very much for making your home available to us - we loved our time there.Did you find this review helpful?
