The perfect break for a few days after a long trip from Australia!! We had 3 adults and two children and more than enough space for all of us, kids loved having their own queen bed! This place had everything.....quiet, peaceful and relaxing, complemented by the sound of the stream outside. Layout inside was very workable and furnishings tasteful. Just loved sitting in the lounge with the big windows, cooking was made easy in very modern, well equipped kitchen and the kids just loved flaying foosball downstairs and having their own space. Master bedroom was gorgeous and main bathroom stunning. Location amazing, just up the road from the quaint little town of Manitou with great shops and eateries. We visited COG railway which was fantastic and only about 7 minutes away, and Garden of the Gods. Kids loved spending a few hours in the Penny Arcade in Manitou, but a lot of time was just spent relaxing in this gorgeous house which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone....a true gem!! If I am ever fortunate enough to be in Colorado again, I'll be back!!!!

I cannot compliment the home and the management enough. The home provided everything we needed for our vacation and more. The house was beyond my expectations and everyone that come on the trip with me complimented it daily. It was in a great location that was homey and private and it was the perfect distance from local attractions. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay in Colorado. And the price was also a great great deal! Thanks so much!

This property had everything we needed for a little weekend getaway! To start with, the property manager was extremely helpful. The house was easy to find, clean and had all of the basics you would need. There was plenty of space for our party of 5 adults and 2 kids. The sound of the stream behind the house is fantastic. (I wish the weather had been warmer so we could have opened windows and heard it better.) And it was fun to see the deer meandering around the neighborhood. My only complaint is that the description didn't indicate that the master bedroom is open to the living room below. You have visual-privacy (the walls are about head-height) but there is no sound-privacy. It didn't make a difference for the 2 nights we were there but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. All-in-all, I would recommend this property to others!

Our time in Manitou Springs was very enjoyable, thanks largely to the wonderful accommodations! The 7 adults and 3 kids (10 mo, 4, 6) had plenty of room when we wanted to be together and plenty of room to spread out when we wanted privacy. We loved the kitchen, took advantage of all 3 outdoor areas, and the older kids spent hours playing in the stream. The only minor drawback was that the temps were very hot when we arrived and there's no A/C. We made sure to plan activities for the late afternoon when the sun warmed the house up the most and put all of the provided fans to use at bedtime. After the first two days, the temps cooled back down and we had no discomfort after that. Hot temps aside, our stay far exceeded our expectations. We loved the convenient location and the special touches provided by the owners (bottled water, snack bucket). It was like stepping into the lap of luxury for a week. Thanks for helping make our vacation one to remember!

We stayed for 7 nights during the month of June with 4 small children, 4 adults and 2 senior citizens. Overall was pretty pleasant. The house is located away from the crowded downtown but not to far. It is situated on a creek which kept the kids busy. During our stay it was very hot and the house got very warm as the large picture windows are south/west facing with out any shades are curtains. Living room space is very nice but a little small for our party of 10. The kitchen is well equipped and functional with a nice balcony over looking the deck where we saw many deer and other animals. Except for the master bedroom which is very large, the other 3 bedrooms are fairly small although manageable. Same with the bathrooms. The basement is nice and cool. We had issues with the electronics but the property manager came over promptly and fixed the problem. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

We feel very lucky to have discovered this house - it very much defined our vacation, which turned out to be -- like the house -- restful, easy, convenient, and pleasant. It was wonderful to be 5 minutes away from most of the sights that we wanted to see with our children, and we loved being so close to Manitou Springs, with its fine bookstore (the Black Cat), wonderful restaurants, and nice strolling vibe. The owners clearly went out of their way to think of everything - well beyond the call of duty or necessity, and there were many details (like the iPod speakers, the cozy throw blankets, the welcome snacks and waters, etc) that were simply thoughtful. We had a problem with getting wireless access (the issue turned out to be our computers, not the house's connection), and the owners sent their property manager over as soon as they received our message. They could not have been more responsive or helpful. The house is as lovely as it appears, and we loved having so much light and windows that overlooked the peaceful stream view. The kids really enjoyed watching for the neighborhood deer. Thank you very much for making your home available to us - we loved our time there.

My husband and I have never been so satisfied with our stay in a vacation home. This house had everything you could think of for your stay. The staff goes over the top to make you feel welcome! There is nothing better than to wake up next to a stream and views that are breath taking! Thank you so much for making our vacation in Manitou so wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay and it beat staying at any Hotel... We interacted as a family and cooking there was practical and awesome. The Bedrooms were modern and practical. everything worked Impeccably. The views were relaxing and the location was near all the attractions we wanted to see. We would stay again...even in cold winter the house was warm and easy to get in and out of.

This house was a dream come true:) It was so relaxing and so fun to be tucked away in a wooded area! The stream that was behind the house was just so cool too, along with the deer that we saw daily! What a great way to spend some family time together in a house that had enough rooms to accomodate our kids and two grandsons! We all enjoyed this home very much..definitely would recommend this home to anyone looking for a secluded area with a classy atmosphere!!

Our stay was everything and more than we had expected. The house and it's surroundings, offered special things for each and everyone in our entire family of 10, 6 adults and 4 children. The children loved the lower level game room, giving them a feeling of their own 'clubhouse.' The cooks in our family, loved what the kitchen had to offer, it's always fun using items one does not have at home. We all enjoyed eating together, either in the dining room or on the adjoining deck. We loved all the wild life that was viewable, the raccoon, the bear and especially the doe and her fawns, which we were able to see daily. The deck off of the master bedroom was a perfect place to relax with your favorite beverage and the feeling of your own private secluded place. By far one of everyone's favorite, was the stream, which offered hours of relaxing sounds and fun for all. It was a picture perfect place for photos. We would highly suggest a visit to this extraordinary home.

Great location for access to all of the immediate area attractions- the Cliff Dwellings, Seven Falls, the Cog Railway up to Pikes Peak, the Barr Trail and Manitou Incline for hiking, Garden of the Gods, and the US Olympic Training Center. The creek running along the property was a source of constant visual and aural stimulation- and a good indicator for how much rain fell up in the hills, as its flow would quickly go from babbling brook to impressive torrent (but nothing dangerous) within 20 minutes after an afternoon rain.

This house far exceeded our expectations. The pictures on the Web site are impressive, but to see this house in person, it is amazing. We loved sitting on the deck and listening to the stream. In the morning, deer would wander through the backyard. The furnishings and fixtures were all in very good taste. And there was plenty of room for 10 people to spread out. We had 2 Grandparents and 2 families of 4 all together for a week with no problems. The kitchen was wonderful for cooking meals for all. Thanks so much!

From the pictures we were expecting a nice house. It was actually much nicer than we expected. The pictures really do not do it justice! Every aspect of the house is top-notch, from the beds and bedding to the fixtures and appliances. Even though you are in the "suburbs" of Manitou, it is very quiet and you feel like you are in a "treehouse in the forest"!

Thank you, thank you, and thank you!! Wonderful! Spanking new interior with a contemporary feel throughout. Even nicer than we imagined. The house was ideal: definitely a cooks kitchen, and we cooked and grilled and enjoyed at home dining throughout our stay. Loved the open floor plan, and our personal favorite spot was the living room with all the windows, sounds of the creek below, and the daily visit of deer and other wildlife. We stayed a full month from mid-February to mid-March, and it was truly a home away from home. The area activities were definitely not lacking. We went to the Royal Gorge, horseback riding in nearby Garden of the Gods, many mountain hikes, biking, shopping/dining in funky downtown Manitou, visited the US Olympic Training Center, went skiing, and much more. The place is well located to pursue your interests with minimal driving (except for skiing-2hrs). We would definitely stay again. My grandchildren were impressed, and commented on how much fun they had spending the night – foozeball tournaments and playing in the creek were highlights. We would definitely recommend this home for any stay, short or long.

Your house was beautiful, warm and very comfortable. Each room was unique, modern and very inviting. We loved the game room, the kitchen, the ultra modern bathrooms and the gorgeous view of the stream from the den. We appreciated the complimentary popcorn, cokes, Twizzlers, coffee and cream. Everything we possibly needed for our Thanksgiving dinner was included and, unlike some houses we have stayed in, we didn't feel like we were using somebody's leftover dishes. We LOVED Manitou and the fact that the town is only 5 minutes away was another reason to return. We enjoyed the nicest Thanksgiving that our family has had in a long time thanks to your hospitality.

I didn't know a creekside home with Pikes Peak views existed in Manitou Springs. I loved sitting on the decks and relaxing with the sound of the water nearby. What a great place to vacation for a week. Thanks again

If you're looking for a place to stay that is right in Manitou Springs, yet still has privacy and a quiet, wooded setting, this property is a great choice. We enjoyed its modern feel, and appreciated the coziness of the three fireplaces! Our family enjoys cooking and grilling when vacationing, and we found this home's kitchen to be one of the best equipped of all we've stayed in. Sleeping to the sound of the stream running outside our door was a real treat!

I recently visited this property as a possible rental for USAFA Graduation 2010. It is simply amazing! The photos on VRBO are good; however, they do not convey the artistry of this place. Every detail has been considered. For example, the photo on VRBO does not capture stainless steel modular design of the kitchen or the stunning view from the dining table. I kept asking questions about the materials used to construct and design this house. The setting is convenient to everything in and around COS yet the stream and trees give the place an atmosphere of seclusion. As you can see, I was stunned by the design and beauty of this home.

I stayed here in July 2009 for 3 nights, and the house is AMAZING! First and foremost is the creek running along the backyard, from which you can hear the gentle bubbling from the deck. You can walk down steps to the creek and get up to your hips in ice cold Colorado water! It's beautiful. The inside of the house is perfectly done, with gorgeous views of the trees from all rooms, but especially the living room. The main level bathroom has a unique sink that has tiny lights in it that light up when you turn the water on - they look like stars over a mountainscape. You have to see it to fully appreciate it - it's cool! There are fireplaces on all 3 levels. The upstairs bathroom is a work of art - I don't think the pictures here do it justice, but you'll see. This is in a quiet, private neighborhood up a hill about 3/4 mile from the main road. There is a nice little restaurant that is walking distance, about 1/4 mile, away for those nights that you don't want to cook in. If you are looking for a true quiet retreat to just unwind, relax, and take in the beauty of Colorado, this is it. It's a really tranquil, peaceful place - if you're looking for a party atmosphere, this isn't it. There is a swimming pool just down on the main road, the Manitou Swimming Facility I think it's called, if you're into swimming. And all the great restaurants in Old Colorado City are close by. I highly recommend staying here.
