Our second visit to DPC. As before, easy to book, owner very accommodating. Unit very comfortable, new King in master appreciated. Last visit I commented on the stemware and was glad to see nice new wineglasses. The sunset is magnificent, well maintained lounges and chairs on the beach and maintenance and housekeeping did a terrific job. Lots of new restaurants with top rated cuisine on the island. Car recommended. Cant wait to book next year.
Owner response:Returning guests comments always welcome and much appreciated.

My wife and I have visited many other places in the Caribbean and this was our first trip to Grand Cayman. We opted not to stay two weeks as we had never visited Grand Cayman but we will definitely stay longer next time. Discovery Point and #16 were a great surprise. The property and condo is located in a perfect area. The snorkeling just in front of the property was excellent. The front office at the facility was very slow in responding to correspondence but hang in there it is worth the hassle. There are excellent clean well kept grills where you can cook your own meals rather than having to go out after a long day in the sun. We will not hesitate in coming back to this condo. The owner of the property was easy to work with. There are some spectacular restaurants on the island. We'll be back.

The view from this condo is absolutely fantastic. You can see out to the sea, even from the kitchen! The condo is exactly like its description, including the photos. I don't think you can beat the views. The screened balcony makes the balcony usable anytime of day or night. The complex is small, which allows plenty of room on the beach. There were always plenty of beach chairs in both sun and shade. The location is also fantastic. You are away from the "crowds" of Georgetown, but you are not far. You are just at the "quiet" end of Seven Mile Beach. Condo and grounds are very clean and well maintained. The cleaning staff is very accomodating (she managed to work around us when we were in the unit while she cleaned) and did a great job. The pool is clean and plenty large eough! As for a few recommendations, our favorite dining spot is the Calypso Grill. There is snorkeling right off the beach, but to see even more coral and fish walk up the beach to Cemetary Reef.

The best vacation ever! The condo is beautiful and decorated with the feel of the island. The panoramic views are incredible! We went in September, and even though it was hot and humid, we enjoyed sitting on the ocean side balcony at night. The pool was fabulous--clean and well maintained. We also enjoyed sitting under the cabanas. What a treat to walk just a few steps from the condo to ocean snorkeling! Having a kitchen was not only convenient but saved us money too! Our favorite place for dinner was Tiki Beach, and we also enjoyed Hemingway's and The Wharf. We also recommend the turtle farm and the Atlantis sub. I have never had such a relaxing time on vacation. Truly paradise on earth.

Our family stayed here and we loved it -- we would highly recommend it! The condo is right on the beach with a gorgeous view. There is a great balcony where you can enjoy a meal or a drink in the afternoon. A little removed from the city center, the condo is ideal for people who want to be near everything but don't want the hassle of being in the city center with all the cruise ship tourists. Be sure to snorkel here and also walk over to cemetery beach and do the same; you won't regret it. Also, check out the tennis courts and the pool. As we said before, awesome condo, great location, and wonderful vacation.

This Discovery Point Club unit is AWESOME!! I have rented condos on VRBO 3 times now (once in Hawaii, once in Virgin Islands, and now Grand Cayman) and this was the best overall condo in every way. Extremely clean & well-maintained 2 bed 2 bath, fully furnished 1300 sq ft condo with a huge enclosed balcony patio (you can enjoy sitting on the patio and not worry about any bug bites, not that there were many anyway) overlooking the crystal clear blue waters of the sea. Large Sony Bravia flat screen TV with cable, & a DVD player with a collection of over 50 family DVDs. In the evenings, my niece & nephews loved the wide variety of cartoon & other family movies. They also have a cupboard full of board games that you can play with your family. Wireless high-speed internet also right in the unit! The kitchen has everything you need to cook (pots, pans, serving plates, serving spoons/forks, tons of dishes) & even a cupboard with condiments. We didn’t eat out once actually, we went to Foster’s which is 1 mile away & bought all our food & had nice home-cooked meals for a fraction of the price eating out! Unit even has a cooler for you to carry to the beach or other outing. The property has 2 large commercial gas barbecue grills which we used one day. The beach was just awesome, very clean and the white sand (coral) groomed every other day or so. You can snorkel right there & see hundreds of fish & other sea life right there off DPC’s beach (some of the best snorkeling we did.) The swimming pool was great too, many beach toys (noodles, floating beds, inner tubes) and a nice whirlpool spa surrounded by high-end patio furniture if you just want to sit in the shade by the pool and relax. These condo accommodations by far exceeded my family’s expectations in every way & made our vacation that much better. I am SO glad I found this unit. I went to check out some of the other condos I was interested in when I was researching a place to stay and even checked out the Ritz Carlton and this condo was way better. Even the Christopher Columbus Condos that are right next door are not nearly as nice, the layout wasn’t as good and many of those units don’t even have an ocean view. The staff at DPC are so nice - they have maids come Mon-Sat, and maintenance crew trimming hedges & cleaning the pool every morning around 7am or so. I have absolutely no regrets or complaints about this unit or DPC – I’d be surprised if you did. Thanks much to the owners! We’ll be back! :)

The pictures of these condos are great; however, the actual view from inside the condo is better. If you are thinking about staying somewhere else on this island, forget about it: this is the place you want to stay. We will be back.

This was our fourth trip to Grand Cayman; twice before we have stayed in hotels, once in a condo. This was our first time at Discovery Point Club, Unit #16, and it was the best yet. The condo is nicely appointed (flat screen TV, wi-fi access) and very clean. It is ideally located at the quieter end of Seven Mile Beach, minutes away (by car, at least) from groceries, restaurants and shopping. The views from the screened-in balcony are inspiring; we enjoyed breakfast and lunch there every day. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation away from the worries of the world, then this is paradise discovered.

We really enjoyed out vacation and stay at DPC. The furnishings were well done and very tropical. The view was amazing. Our family of four had ample room to enjoy. We have been coming to Cayman for 20 years and this was one of our better vacations. We are divers and were centrally located to all sites. Our only negative was the grounds of the complex could have been a little cleaner. The pool area stayed littered with toys and floats that no one seem to take owenership of. And the pool could have been a little cleaner. Sometimes it was a few days before someone would sweep the pool. I hope managment will be more aware of that issue.

We immensly enjoyed our stay in unit #16 of the Discovery Point Club. There is no doubt that we made the best choice of where to spend our time with family celebrating our 25th anniversary on 7 mile beach. We could have stayed anywhere, but Discovery Point is the place that offered everything we were hoping for and indeed exceeded our expectations. Thank you for maintaining some of the quaint, Carribean charm that Grand Cayman has in its past. I'm grateful and thankful for the memories made with my family, the spectacular view from unit 16 and the sunsets that words cannot describe.
Owner response:The photos on our VRBO page are of and from our condo. It is exactly as depicted. Comments like this underscore how fabulous the view is.

You could not ask for a better place to stay on Grand Cayman. An absolutely beautiful view from the screened porch overlooking the blue water, beach and pool area. The condo was very clean and ready to move in. The daily maid service was unexpected but appreciated. The owner and staff were wonderful to work with and made great suggestions for places to eat. The condo complex provides beach towels, thatched huts, beach lounges and chairs. The best snorkeling on Grand Cayman was located immediatly off the beach in front of complex. The gas grills were used many times to cook the fresh fish available daily in Georgetown. Fosters grocery store is just 1/4 mile north of the complex. We rented a car for our stay but public transportation is available in front of the complex. The wireless internet helped keep us in touch with home. When we return to Grand Cayman we will contact this owner first for accommodations. Our favorate restaurants were 1) Dolce Vita 2) Calypso Grill 3) Ristorante Pappagallo 4) Ragazzi An inexpensive place for breakfast of lunch is Eats Cafe.
Owner response:The WHARF at sunset is also a popular dining favourite. Staff feed the resident tarpon at 9:00 p.m.

Neat, clean condo with friendly staff. Views are superb. Kitchen well stocked. Owner easy to deal with and very reasonable. We will be returning with more family this summer. I love that it is away from the traffice and hubub of 7 mile. More relaxing and close to shore diving site.

Very easy booking, owner couldn't have been more helpful A quiet stretch of one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere The unit was spotless and completely functional Fantastic snorkelling a short swim off the beach There are a few rocks directly off the beach so a short stroll or water shoes makes access easier Best to rent a car since the condo is closer to the West Bay end than Georgetown
Owner response:The "few rocks" are in fact coral, which is what the entire island consists of. " The beach was perfect, we snorkeled right from the beach in front of condo and snorkeled to Cemetary Reef" comments Al P. from New York (below), so its all a matter of perspective I guess. Renting a car certainly allows you the freedom to get around to see and enjoy the many activites on the island. That's the same no matter where you go. There is taxi service and a bus line that runs right in front of the condo with grocery shopping nearby, so renting a car is not a necessity. "We rented a car so we could go to delicious restaurants close by for dinners. Fosters grocery store is nice and close and we bought our breakfast and luch foods there." says BeachMomBettie from Virginia (also below). Car or no car, the venue is magnificent.

We are a family of four, our two children are age 10 and 12. We stayed at Discovery Point, unit 16, mid Feb 2010. What a great condo! Very clean, and comfortable. Awesome view over looking the pool and the Caribbean. Our family really enjoyed it, with all the comforts of home. This part of Seven Mile Beach is very quiet but close to everything. The beach was perfect, we snorkeled right from the beach in front of condo and snorkeled to Cemetary Reef. After a day of enjoying the warm Caribbean sun, we would barbecue on the gas grills and have dinner and drinks on the verander watching the sun set. We miss it already, and can't wait to go back.

We returned from our fabulous respite on Grand Cayman 2 wks ago and I still feel serene. The condo was lovely...overlooking the beach, the pool and tops of the palm trees. The unit was well appointed (including 2 Sony Bravia TVs-though we spent most of our time in the beautiful Caribbean or on the beach),and immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We also went on three dives...I don't know if there is better diving anywhere! The north end of 7 mile beach is the place to be...quite near Cemetery Reef and fun snorkeling. We hope to return to this lovely condo on the beach in the future.

What a beautiful condo, view and location! My family enjoyed our Cayman trip and this condo is great. The owner and people at Discovery Point Club were prompt and helpful. The condo is decorated so Caribbean, has nice furniture and everything you need in the kitchen. Having wireless internet and flat screen tvs were a plus for our older children. The view of the pool, beach, and ocean was perfect and we enjoyed nightly sunsets on the screened porch. Beautiful sand and clear water await you and this north seven mile beach is quiet and nice for walks. Having thatched huts, umbrellas, and lounge chairs on the beach was great. We enjoyed the pool and playing tennis also. The condo and area are kept very clean. We rented a car so we could go to delicious restaurants close by for dinners. Fosters grocery store is nice and close and we bought our breakfast and lunch foods there. Wish we could have stayed more than a week, but we'll hopefully be back.

I agree with all of the comments. Lovely place. Helpful owner and office. We came in on a holiday weekend and they even went grocery shopping for us! We had 15 people in 4 units ranging in age from 8 to 72. NO COMPLAINTS from anyone! We all hope to go back someday.
