Why the Owner Chose Pali Ke Kua
We fell in love with Pali Ke Kua on our first walk down the beach path to the enchanting Hideaways Beach -- it is truly a magical spot and you feel it in your heart the moment you see the amazing Bali Hai come into view. We chose the corner unit because it was the only one at Pali Ke Kua that had spectacular ocean/Bali Hai views and spectacular mountain/waterfall views as well. Counting over 30 waterfalls cascading down the mountain face in the mornings is just breathtaking and when you turn your head you can count as many whales in the ocean during the fall and winter months.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The North Shore of Kauai is what you imagine when you think of "Hawaii". It is green, lush, breathtakingly beautiful and the type of place that calls you to return again and again. Our condo captures both the mountain and ocean experience that is unique to the North Shore. Princeville is about 45 minutes from the Lihue, Kauai airport (LIH) and a car rental is a good idea. There are weekly farmer's markets in Hanalei town and Kilauea so you can get some local taste treats to prepare at home. A full market, Foodland, is nearby in the Princeville Shopping Center. We enjoy cooking so our kitchen is equipped with specialty tools that experienced cooks enjoy and novices will enjoy trying. If you choose to stay out of the kitchen altogether, there are restaurants within walking distance or just a few minutes away by car. Postcards is one of our favorite restaurants in Hanalei town. The Princeville library has a large selection of books and DVDS available for loan. It also has a wonderful changing display of Hawaiiana. The Princeville Community Center is located across the street from the library and posts a monthly calendar with everything from yoga to hula lessons. Next to the Community Center is the Princeville Park which is a wonderful place for parents and children alike. The park has a great play structure and climbing wall suitable for older kids and great areas for smaller children as well. The park is adjacent to a large grass field that is perfect for flying kites or playing ball and frisbee. A gazebo with picnic tables is open to all and BBQs are on site. Queen Emma's baths are an easy walk from the condo and they are a spectacular site in the spring and summer months (the waves can be dangerous in the winter months so always be safe and check before hiking there).
Owner's Map of Pali Ke Kua
We grew up in California and Ohio and fell in love, married and began our family in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Our family home schools so we have the freedom to travel to Kauai throughout the year and we love to get to the island whenever we can. We are avid skiers (our daughter began at 17 months), but enjoy getting away from the snow for a mid-winter break!

Your place is gorgeous!!! We love how it is so clean, light and airy -- it feels like living in a dream vacation. The view of Bali Hai has to be the best in all of Kauai -- Our kids love it too; the boogie boards, snorkel gear and beach stuff and the secret path down to their "own" private beach and tidepools. We never thought that we would be in a swimming pool in Kauai, but our children love that too. My husband appreciated the wireless connection so he could work in his "home away from home". We will definitely be back to #201 -- so nice to get away from the snow!
