We stayed several nights at B&B Garibaldi this summer. We usually stay in private apartments when traveling in Europe, but we have never had such a concerned, caring and accommodating host as David. We took a bus to another town and belatedly discovered the next day that because of a local holiday there were no buses running for our return and we were stranded. David drove over and got us!! He took us to and from the train station, gave us good restaurant recommendations, and made our stay in Orvieto such a pleasant one. Thank you, David.

Fabulous Choice in Orvieto!

My husband and I arrived on the train from Rome and were warmly greeted by David at the train station. This was our first experience ever in riding a train in Europe and renting an apartment instead of a hotel (my husband's first trip to Europe ever at age 63). I had numerous email conversations with David over the past five months during the planning stages of our Italian trip. There are many amazing things about David, but one that was shocking was how thorough he is with helpful information. He always goes beyond what is expected in answering emails or making sure the guests have a wonderful experience at his B&B as well as Orvieto. He is also very fast in all correspondance. We stayed in the Yellow Room with the kitchen and washer. We enjoyed having a refrigerator and kitchen sink, and used them often. B&B Garibaldi is a perfect choice for anyone visiting Orvieto, and the location is ideal! David provided us with a map and his favorite local restaurants and coffee bars, all delicious. When I could not get Internet service for my iPad, he was in the room and made sure it was working within a few minutes. A perfect host and human being. Thank you for everything, David! You made our stay incredible!

Our stay in this typical Italian home was great. Our host, David, met us on the outskirts of the walled city to ensure we had parked safely and assisted us in getting settled. It was great to have the map of the town and a list of recommended eateries to begin our exploration of Orvietto> After travelling for 3 months in Europe, we realized that David is one of the most gracious hosts who goes out of his way to ensure that you have a comfortable stay and enjoyable visit. The accommodations are well provided and centrally located for easy access to all that Orvietto offers. We will be returning for a longer stay. Exceptionally clean and spacious.. We would highly recommend it.

Wonderful apartment

This apartment is very clean and well kept. David goes out of his way to be helpful and very accommodating for his guests. He personally greeted us at the train station and took us to the apartment - very much appreciated. He also took us back to the train station upon our departure. The apartment is located within very short walks of all the attractions. The photos accurately reflect the apartment. The people of Orvieto are very friendly. Our family highly recommends this property for rental. David speaks English very well.

This is a great apartment for a family of 4 (maybe bigger). It's ruthlessly clean, spacious and convenient to all of Orvieto and the parking. David speaks english well and is very helpful.

Our first visit to Orvieto was wonderful. David was an extremely friendly, professional and conscientious host of our family during our recent stay at this rental apartment. We were late in arriving and he actually waited in his car at the Orvieto traffic circle for over 2 hours to make sure we arrived and got checked-in properly. The rooms are large, light, airy and clean. It suited our family of five very well. Common in Italian historic-center rentals, there was no living room per se, but the dining room sufficed. It's in a great location in a charming neighborhood--only a few minutes from the main square and a couple of blocks from the escalators to Orvieto's modern parking lot down the hill. The complimentary parking space was very valuable, since we toured some of the neighboring hill towns from our Orvieto base. It was so nice to jump in the car and be driving down a beautiful country road in less than 10 minutes.. David recommended several excellent restaurants that were authentic and not touristy. The food was delicious and some even provided a discount because they know David. Overall, I highly recommend this charming and historic apartment. The best attribute is David's high level of service and sincere attention to our needs.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and large, and also the bathroom. Large breakfast in the morning. The day of the departure the owner offered his help with unmbrellas and helped us to find an open Farmacy. Prices are nice for such a nice place to stay, located in the centre of Orvieto.

Stayed at Garibaldi accommodation for two nights and found the place very cozy. David was highly helpful with everything we asked for: drives from and to the train station, (free wi-fi) internet connection, breakfast etc. The rooms were big and clean and we got the kitchen for our use (even we did not pay for that). I will choose Garibaldi if I ever visit Orvieto again. Should be especially suitable for a family.

We made last minute accomodations at Orvieto with David Garibaldi, he met us in the rain with extra umbrellas. he made our stay very memorable courteous attentative and helpful in every regard. We highly recommend his clean and well located accommodation.

We had a terrific stay at Garibaldi accommodation during our 10th wedding anniversary trip. It is ideally situated within this medieval hill towns ancient walls, with short walks to the ramparts, cathedral, good restaurants, shopping, etc. David couldn't have been more helpful, meeting us at the train station, carrying our bags, and providing tips on sights and eats. The ambiance of the room is good, (...) with plenty of room (essentially an apartment) and a nice flat screen TV. Breakfast was typical Italian -- coffee and an assortment of bread, biscuits, pastries. We rented our car in Orvieto and took a great day trip to Civita di Bagnoregio. David fixed us up with free parking. I might also suggest booking directly with David; I got the idea we took a bit of a hit by booking through Venere.com.

Located in the centre of Orvieto (but still very quiet at night whilst we were there) this is a 2 bedroomed accommodation that we had sole use of with a large bathroom and kitchen with cooking and washing facilities. The owner David speaks good English and is very helpful. He gave comprehensive instructions for arrival and met us to park the car and give us a hand with the suitcases. He gave us lots of information on the town with suggestions of what to see and do. Breakfast was comprehensive with a large choice of items that were bought fresh to order. There are a number of restaurants and pizzerias in the nearby streets and all the sights (including the stunning cathedral) are within 10 minutes walk. A great accommodation in an ideal location with a very helpful host.

We have recently returned from a four day wedding trip to Orvieto, we stayed in Garibaldi accommodation; it really was a great experience, being inside those Italian walls the accommodation was very comfortable with a kitchen and bathroom proprietor David was very helpful and he made us very welcome he met us at the train station and brought us there when leaving which was a great help we would recommend Garibaldi accommodation and the wonderful town of Orvieto.

This was a real find. Not having booked anything before we arrived, we stumbled across it as we were driving into Orvieto. After calling David, he came immediately to meet us and took us to the car park which is very nearby and included in the price. He was incredibly helpful and friendly, a great host! The location of Garibaldi accommodation is excellent, right in centre of Orvieto, just a short walk from all the tourist attractions. The accommodation was spacious and we had a kitchen to ourselves. In the morning, David invited us into his own living room to eat breakfast, which he had bought that morning (...).

David will overwhelmingly welcome you into his cozy and beautifully decorated accommodation that is centrally located, outstandingly clean, with small kitchen, satellite tv, full fresh breakfast and true italian charm; you feel like you've home and for a bargain price! I would highly recommend this place and will stay again the next time I'm in Orvieto.

This accommodation is a find.We were met at Porta Romana by David and he navigated us through Orvieto's one way streets to a car park (...). No matter what the guide books say, driving around Orvieto is not for the faint hearted and parking is not as easy as all the books say. Our room was palatial, the bed was very comfortable,the bathroom was outside the room but was warm and large. Breakfast was as fresh as you could get as David had bought everything that morning. He was a mine of information about local sights and on directions to get to Sienna. It was bitterly cold and snowing when we were there but the room was lovely and warm without being stiffling (...) We have no hesitation in staying there again.

We went back to Orvieto and looked at a number of accommodations but non matched up to GARIBALDI so stayed there again and if anything it was better than the first time. It is very reasonable clean and not what you would expect from a B&B, it's much much more. David is a fantastic host and guide, everywhere he recommended was first class. Had it not been for him we would not have enjoyed Orvieto to its full. I would recommend GARIBALDI’S to anyone old young single and families. Thank you David.

Stumbled across Garibaldi accommodation on arriving in Orvieto and surprised David by arriving unannounced. However he was instantly accommodating, helped us find a car park for our rental car, gave us a great restaurant recommendation, and provided a lovely breakfast. He also speaks excellent English! The apartment was massive for the two of us with big bathroom, big bedroom and dining area. It was also well located within the old town. We had a great stay.

My stay in Garibaldi accommodation in Orvieto was very nice. The accommodation is big, friendly and the kitchen is very well-equipped => ideal for families. Also the bathroom is great (big, new and beautiful). But the best was the service that was given. The owner is very nice and willing to help in any situation (breakfast options, umbrellas, citymaps...). So visit this place at very reasonable prices.

The place really surpassed our expectations.We had a lovely stay. David, the proprietor, was incredibly helpful - I believe that nothing would have been too much trouble for him - he made our stay extra special. The accommodation was traditional. It was clean and well- located. The bathroom is large and has a bath (...).?
