Situated on a quiet street in Westhampton, this home is ideal as weekend or full time off-season rental. Open the front door to this charming cottage and you'll find an unexpectedly large space. A wall of windows faces Beaver Creek (south of Montauk Hwy). Dense foliage across the creek promises gorgeous views of turning leaves and fall sunsets. The birdlife is amazing; one could watch the cranes hunt for food all afternoon.
The home has a modern open living/dining/kitchen plan with 10' ceilings. Brand new Kitchen Aid stainless steel appliances (gas stove), Pietra Cardosa countertops and dark oak wood floors complement the off white walls and living room furniture to create a calm and peaceful setting. An 8' sliding door leads onto a newly constructed Timbertech deck with stairs down to the yard and new bulkhead. FYI, the deck was only completed in July 09 so there is spotty planting and patchy grass under and around the general area.
Upstairs there are two queen bedrooms with closets and two full baths. Downstairs there are two bedrooms (railroad/adjacent: one with a queen, the other with two twins) and another full bath. The lower floor is ideal for separating families or guests with kids as it can be closed off as though separate quarters. This floor also contains a den/TV-playroom, a laundry room,with storage space, a work/storage room. A rear door leads directly to the yard
The home is two miles from some of LI's most spectacular beaches and only one mile from the village center. Westhampton offers shopping, dining and entertainment anchored by the Westhampton Performing Arts Center. If you're into antiquing you could visit the neighboring village of Eastport or jump on the road for quick trips to the North Fork vineyards, the Riverhead Tanger outlets and further east for the other Hamptons and Montauk.
