The Orange Door is in a perfect downtown location in a classic Marfa adobe building that we have renovated with modern design and art. Apart from walking everywhere to the Chinati and Judd Foundations, galleries, Ballroom Marfa, and restaurants, guests have the Get Go specialty grocery across the street.
Marfa attracts people from all over the world for its art, people and weather, especially the works of Donald Judd and Dan Flavin, the two seminal American minimalists. Not only is Marfa worth a visit for all its local delights, but the McDonald Observatory is not far. Don't miss a Star Party.
The Orange Door has an all-new bathroom and new Ikea furnishings (it may be eight hours to the nearest Ikea, but nobody blinks at driving that in Texas).
We keep the Orange Door pet-free so that we have one apartment that can be used by those with allergies. Thank you for understanding.

Very Nice and very easy to get from Marfa to the surrounding Big Bend area. I was very pleased with the accomodations as well as the location. A++++ I will definatly be staying here next time I come to Marfa!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My boyfriend and I were determined to get away from our busy lives in Denton/Dallas, so we checked out the STAY Marfa apartment on VRBO. The pictures and descriptions were EXACTLY what the site showed and the location could not have been better. We were in walking distance of everything, although, everything is within walking distance in Marfa.The eclectic grocery store across the street was amazing considering the size of the town. The Pizza Foundation just on the next block was our saving grace on a Saturday afternoon AND Sunday evening when everything else seemed to be closed, and much to our surprise some of the best pizza we've ever had. The apartment was well equipped with towels, kitchen needs and a great bed! The owners did a really good job maximizing the small space- very modern and simple. Fun time in a FUNKY place!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had the Lime Door reserved for a while but my father-in-law had a heart attack and we canceled 2 days before. I called Janet to see if it was still available the day before and she offered us the Orange Door at no extra charge. The Orange Door was perfect. We were able to cook and it was so comfortable and nicely decorated. I loved the natural soap and cleaning products. Right across the street from one of my favorite grocery stores on the planet, The Get Go. We had such a great stay there and I can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
