Palomar Mountain is a favorite destination for those who want to really relax and enjoy a peaceful mountain community. Visit the world famous Palomar Observatory..A short 10 minute scenic drive from Palomar Views. There are a number of hiking trails located nearby in the Palomar Mountain State Park and in Cleveland National Forest. Nearby is Lake Henshaw with fishing, picnicking, hiking and boating.
The Round Up BBQ Grill is located right across from the lake and serves up some of the best BBQ around.
How about taking a short beautiful drive to Julian to browse for antiques and a piece of apple pie and hot cider?
Anza Borrego Desert State park is less than an hour away...Watching the morning sunrise or an evening moon rise over the Anza Borrego Desert is a must. There are endless miles of unspoiled desert to explore.

Had a wonderful weekend at Palomar Views, the music collection, atmosphere were just wonderful. Very welcoming and enjoyable, wish they still had the hot tub, as that would be the only thing that would have made it any better. Thank You very much for having us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is our 3rd time up here & even though we missed the snow, we will try to come back before the end of the year. It was just what Sparky & I needed! A relaxing, comfy cabin, with a fireplace & all of the amenities. Great view, wonderful birds, and 'Blossom' the horse. We also enjoyed out trip down the mountain to Lazy H for dinner and our visit to Pala Casino. Thanks again for making my 54th birthday so special!Did you find this review helpful? Palomar Views is wonderful. We enjoyed our time here, especially the deck for bird watching. 'P.J.' and the gang did not disappoint :) Very relaxing & peaceful which is what we were looking for. We were here to celebrate the 12.21.12 'Galactic Convergence' :) At 3:11 AM we were out on the deck looking at the most fabulous show of stars! Perfection. Crystal clear skies, shooting stars..... Thank you for a wonderful first visit to Palomar Mountain. We cannot believe it took is 12 years of living in San Diego before a visit. The cabin was a perfect get away. The view from the deck is stunning, especially the sunsets. The bird watching was a bonus. My husband & I feel refreshed & ready to get home to our 2 year old. We will be back as a family. Thanks for a Fantastic Stay! We loved every minute in your cozy Palomar Views cabin. All the special touches & decor (Fresh Roasted Palomar Roaster Coffee-Thank you!)
