GLORI-VIEW COTTAGE. On the deck of this cozy cottage you can enjoy the picturesque view of beautiful Stecoah valley as it spreads out below. Mother nature provides the music as the birds serenade all who will listen. From the valley floor the Cheoa mountains rise to become one with the sky where the Appalachian trail meanders across the ridge. It is just minutes to Stecoah Gap where you can hike the Appalachian trail, ride a bike or horse on a forest service road or have lunch at the picnic table while enjoying the spectacular view.

Tsali National Park, ranked # 4 for it's biking trails , is located in the Nantahala National Forest just a few miles away. Fontana Lake and Lake Santeetlah provide the opportunity for water sports and fishing. On Lake Santeetlah pontoon boats and jet skies are available for rent. A swimming beach, rest rooms, change rooms, picnic tables and BBQ grills await visitors. White water rafting on the cool Nantahala river with a guided or non-guided ride. Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest is a pristine, unspoiled area with a nice trail for the novice hiker, young or old. A day trip across the Cherohala Skyway to Bald River Falls is a must.
