Wonderful weekend in beautiful setting!

Rented the house for a girls weekend with old roommates from college and had a wonderful time! We all commented that this was by far the nicest house and set up that any of us have ever rented and we were all very impressed! It was December, so we stayed inside most of the time, but the view from the back deck and large picture windows still made us feel "on the water" even from the inside. The main floor of the house was lovely and beautifully decorated with plenty of room -- several of us joked that it was so nice that we didn't want to leave. Lots of room in the kitchen and plenty of supplies for all the meals we made. The upstairs is a bit older, but still comfortable and had lots of room. (The split between the upstairs and downstairs also would be great for families with kids because the kids could play/sleep upstairs while the adults had fun downstairs. Also nice that there were several tvs -- a boon for family gatherings).

My family and I hosted Thanksgiving here this year and it was huge success. Half the group is from Oregon and half from Washington so it was nice to have some "neutral territory" this year and break out of the rut we'd been falling in, doing the same thing over and over again. The house is incredibly well stocked - I can honestly say it has everything you'd need, from a fondue pot to a BBQ they have it, and its all really nice. The set-up of the house is also perfect if you're bringing along kids - which we did, they can have the whole upstairs area that is stocked with a TV and games and you can shut the door, pour yourself a glass of wine and let them play all day! Given the weather we were inside for most of the time, but we never felt in each others way or lacking for space. The beach is a short walk down the hill (very small beach area) but it was beautiful. We'd love to come back and have an oyster feed! I highly recommend this house for your next vacation!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We rented the Bendickson beach home for a family getaway. There were 7 adults and 4 kids in our group. The home was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Love the beach theme. The home had just about everything you need. Kitchen was stocked with all the supplies needed to prepare meals. Oysters and clams from the parks were delicious. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every night. The view was wonderful and the weather perfect! Callie was so accommodating and helpful. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back again next year! Many thanks!

We spent Labor Day weekend here in 2011. Everything about it was wonderful. The house is huge, clean, decorated super cute, very comfortable beds, upscale kitchen and electronics. The outdoor patio with firepit and tables has the most spectacular view... we spent hours just hanging out there with the kids. Loved fishing down on the neighborhood dock. We were blessed with perfect weather, sunny and 80ish the whole time. Couldn't have had a better time. The WiFi let us bring our laptops and search for hikes, restaurants, etc in the area. Thanks Callie and family!!

Wonderful family reunion

We had a wonderful time there. Our party has 8 adults & 4 kids, and there is plenty of room for everyone. The view & house is beautiful, and very peaceful from the living room & outside patio. The house is very clean and well equipped. The kids had great time playing the rec room. You don't need to bring anything except personnel items. It's first time for us in the area. We harvested lots of oysters and mussels in the state parks, also did swimming and boating the the community beach, and had wonderful time. Will definitely return again in the future.

Claire Eccleshall(claireeccleshall@talktalk.net) on August 10, 2011 We had the most wonderful weekend break at the Bendicksons beautiful beach house.Tastefully decorated, luxurious yet homely and spacious, there was literally every thing you could need supplied at the house. The view from the patio was stunning and the stars at night were a sight to behold. I would whole heartedly recommend this fabulous house and Hood Canal is a beautiful part of the world. If you have children this is the place for you as there is a rec room far enough away from the grown up area to ensure peace and quiet! Also having access to the private beach was a real asset and our children were so happy on the very calm,safe and warm water.Thank you Callie for looking after us so well.

Family Wedding made even Better

Our youngest son was married on July 7th at Calvinwoods State Park, which provided a beautiful setting for a beautiful ceremony attended by family and friends from all over the country. As the groom's parents and brother's family, we needed a wonderful location to spend a week near Calvinwoods, and man did we find it - the Hood Canal Beach House! Everything we needed for 4 adults and 2 children was available to us for a great week. The house is very functional and supplies were available to help us enjoy our week. The view and deck area is absolutely awesome. The owner's Callie and Ryan were most gracious and allowed us to host the rehearsal dinner - attended by 25 family and friends, coming from as far away as Hawaii and South Carolina. Everyone loved the setting and the meal prepared on site was fabulous. The fact that my brother and family from Hawaii were able to stay in the guest house right next store made it even more special. Callie is a great host and responded immediately to all our needs, even adding a very nice picnic table so that we would have adequate seating for the dinner. The home and property has a very personal touch and makes everyone feel at home and comfortable. I could go on and on, but words can not describe our week in this lovely home. Thank you Callie and Ryan for the use of your very special home.

Comfortable, Gorgeous views, lacking nothing!

My family and I have rented several VRBO homes and this home was the best equipped we have ever stayed in. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. Even though there were neighbors close by we felt we had complete privacy surrounded by the beautiful trees. Callie was very accomodating to our last minute needs and was a pleasure to work with.We rented the additional guest house for 2 nights and while we did not utilize all of it, it was also well equipped. My only complaint is that we could not stay longer. We will definitely put this on our list of homes to return to.

Everything on the description was accurate and precise, the pictures on the website says it all! The beach house was well maintained and immaculately clean. Close to the beach and you can view the water from all angle of the house. Kitchen was well equipped, comfortable bed and nice bathrooms. The owner was awesome! She accommodated our needs/requests and was very helpful with information we needed in the area. We are already planning on going back. I highly recommend this place!!!

"Family Fun" Our stay at this home was very relaxing. We went in the off season and still were able to find fun things to do. The home is very family friendly even for young children.
