We stayed with a party of 6 (Mom, Dad, Grandparents, 2 kids aged 4 and 5) with lots of room. Was overall a good condo although was a bit less "wow" then I expected from the pictures. Guess it was just a great photo session elevating my expectations!!! The good: Lots of room, near an excellent beach...probably one of the best we went to while in Maui, close to pool, good extra's such as soaps, tp, etc., fairly clean, excellent help from Chris (super on site) to replace a terrible toaster.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Mahalo for your time. We know how valuable it is these days. We all here at One Napili Way are very happy that your family enjoyed their time here. We love to hear that. Also, thanks for letting Chris know about the toaster. He does a great job for everyone. Hope to hear from you again in the future. Mahalo Nui Loa, Dave

We celebrated a wedding anniversary & a birthday & a family reunion, over an 8 day stay. There were 8 adults & one toddler. We really loved the hot tub, pool & BBQ. Spent much time on the Lanai, one of our son's slept out there. Napili Beach was so close & handy. We were able to come & go as we pleased.

this was a great option for 3 bedrooms near the Napili Beach. It was spacious, nice balcony looking towards the water (in the distance), 2 minute walk to the beach. The kitchen could use a few more items (colander, for example). The back bedrooms were a bit noisy with the road but by bedtime, it was more quiet and my family who slept there didn't complain. I would recommend it again.

Good description and photos accurate. Property was well maintained and property clean except kitchen could have been better. Owner helpful by phone but never saw anyone. Nice to have some personal contact. Would definitely recommend the property. It served our family very well. We loved the access to the yard, the pool, and grilling facilities at pool. Recommend Napili Beach (best in Maui & easily accessible), park in Napili for children, walking paths, Gazebo Restaurant, Sea House Restaurant, Pineapple Grill at Kapalua Golf Course, the Kapalua Golf course. Really appreciated the beach chairs.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Owner response: Thanks for taking your time to review us. We will stress the kitchen a little more with our cleaning crew. We love Napili too! All good points you mention and we are glad it worked out for your family. It really is the best location for families near Napili Beach. Too bad Dan(the owner) missed you when he was on property. We are a small family owned place, with great aloha, but know that most guests prefer a "hands off" approach to their vacation. He is on property frequently talking to owners and guests alike. Maybe next year ;) Mahalo, Dave

We chose One Napili Way because we wanted to stay near our favorite beach on Maui. Dave made the renting process very easy and was very accommodating when we needed to shift our dates due to air travel issues. The listing description/photos are very accurate. The property was very clean and well-maintained. The carpet in the living room is getting a bit worn, but no big deal when you are traveling with 4 kids! The kitchen is well-appointed and it was great to have a washer/dryer in the condo. Towels for beach and pool are provided so you don't have to pack them. The beach is just a small walk away down a path. It is a fun beach for kids and adults to boogie board, play in the waves, snorkel or stand-up paddle board. There is a small convenience store for snacks etc- and a Snorkel Bob's to rent snorkel equipment and Boogie Boards just a block away. The pool/jacuzzi/BBQ are clean and well-maintained. There are great restaurants a walk away (The Gazebo and the Sea House) and it is an easy drive to Ka'anapali or Lahaina for restaurants/shopping/more beach activities. There is also an amazing zip-line tour 5 minutes away in Kapalua. One Napili Way was a wonderful home away from home and we were all sad to leave! We will definitely be back!

Owner response: A Big Mahalo for your glowing response. We'll be starting condo updates in 2013, so the "tired" carpeting won't be an issue after that. We hope you look to One Napili Way again for your next Maui getaway. Mahalo, Dave

One Napili Bay is fantastic and will definitely recommend, if not stay here the next time I visit Maui. Overall: * Renting/check-in/check-out - this was a breeze * Clean place, felt totally comfortable walking around barefooted! * Wish we had a view of the ocean (maybe I can request next time) - we had unit 101 * The beds were a bit stiff, maybe the next time they do any upgrades, this could be an area of focus * Loved how every room in the unit had a small patio which allowed you to sleep with the door to the outside open! * I thought one of the bedrooms was going to have twin beds, but turned out to have a full instead - just be sure to confirm what beds are offered if you are concerned with sleeping arrangements * Snorkel bobs is on the way to the beach and great place for boogie board/paddle board/snorkel stuff rental Cost * Coming in October I feel the rates were overall cheaper than normal everywhere I looked, but loved the weekly rate that they were offering and felt it was a great deal. Location * Located just a few minute walk from the beach access and a BEAUTIFUL beach that was never very crowded which was nice * Just down the road from a shopping center with a grocery and a few restaurants (I heard Mama's was good, but never made it there) * Not a lot of traffic - felt comfortable enough to run on the roads for exercise, you just have to be careful and perhaps run w/o head phones to hear oncoming traffic Dining * As mentioned you are just down the street from a grocery so we got stuff for breakfasts/light dinners (sandwiches, etc.), but was a 15 minute or so drive to Lahaina - not a ton of places to eat in Napili Bay so if you are wanting to just walk around and hit a lot of variety, you might want to stay closer to town, but this is definitely less touristy, which is a plus * Hit up the Seahouse for lunch - a fantastic view and a little less expensive than dinner (although comparable to all of Hawaii I thought). BTW, they have the BEST onion soup :)

Owner response: Thank you for your very thorough response. I think this will be very helpful to future guests. One Napili Way strives to make a comfortable, safe and happy place for both returning and first time guests. Beds firmness is a funny thing. We try to go middle of the road with firmness. If we go firm, some guests think they are too firm. Likewise, if we buy soft, some guests think they are too soft. We just bought new mattresses and box springs for half of the units last year, and the other half this year. Mahalo for supporting us this time and hope to help you plan your stay with us next time. When I arrived on Maui, I was notified right away by Dan that my reservation was messed up. Immediately, Dave and Dan bent over backwards to rectify the error and found another place for us to stay until our unit became available. Dave even came over to help with packing when it was time to move to One Napili Way. Our One Napili Way unit was great, and the grounds are nice. This place is a hop skip and a jump to the ocean which is ideal for families - no car needed, just a short walk. Overall, we were very happy with our stay, and besides the hiccup in the beginning, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Customer service was stellar. Definitely recommended.

We found One Napili Way to be the PERFECT spot for our family of six adults. Finding a three bedroom with all queen beds was a tough order and when I finally found One Napili Way, I reluctantly booked it, wondering if I would regret it because we had normally stayed in Kaanapali or South Maui. We loved One Napili Way and are dreaming of our next stay. Each morning we grabbed our snorkel gear, jumped into swimsuits and walked less than two minutes to the beach at Napili Bay where we swam with the most beautiful fish, eels and turtles. No kidding- Napili Bay is amazing. The condo is just as it is pictured online. Maui has some high-dollar fancy resorts and hotels and we’ve stayed in them. But, if you are looking to enjoy the island in a peaceful-yet-close-to-everywhere-you-want-to-be place, then book One Napili Way and get ready to enjoy Maui. (Mahalo to Dave for helping us book our stay and Mahalo to Dan for providing such a great space!) Aloha

Owner response: We are glad that you have become part of our ONW Ohana. Your family is exactly the type of guest we get most often and it is a pleasant surprise for them as well. Many people upon their first visit to Maui or to the Hawaiian Islands want to be oceanfront and will pay any price($$$$$) to do it. Once they fall in love with Maui and decide to come back, in some cases yearly, a lot of people look for ways to save some money. At that point, they realize that most of your time is spent at the beach or enjoying this beautiful island of ours and that the condo is just a place to sleep, eat, and shower. That's when they find One Napili Way through Google or other means. We are not on the water, but so close to the water as to be "nearly oceanfront". Because of this, we are able to offer really BIG discounts compared to Ka'anapali and South Maui resorts. And yes, we are "Away from it all, but really close to everything". We know it sounds crazy, but check out the Napili area and you'll see what we mean. One correction to this review is that our bed layout is: King in the master suite, Queen in bedroom 2, and either a queen or two twins in bedroom 3. We also have a Queen size pullout couch with a real bed type mattress in each condo(14), not the really thin, terrible pullout mattresses you're thinking of. Thanks for taking your time to review us and thank YOU for taking the time to read this review. We really do hope to hear from you soon. Mahalo Nui Loa, Dave

Every year we look forward to our "home away from home" at One Napili Way. This small property is one of Maui's best keep secrets. The 3 bedroom, 2 bath condos are perfect for families to stay at. Every year we bring a different "group" of family and friends. Everyone enjoys the clean, well kept grounds. We use the pool and bar-b-que area almost every night. The beach is a very short walk and there are always beach chairs available to use. The general store is next door if you forgot anything. Lahaina is 10 minutes away for shopping and dining. We love this place and are always sad when we leave. Can't wait to get back to One Napili Way.

Owner response: Thanks for taking your time to review us here on VRBO. We love the fact that you always bring new family or friends to enjoy what Napili and One Napili Way has to offer large groups. I think our favorite thing is when we have small "family reunions", where one group rents three or four condos at a time so everyone can be on the same property,(but not at a big hotel). See you next year. Mahalo, Dave

Just returned from a wonderful 8 day stay in unit 207. Everything was great from the first contact to the last day. Dave followed up every detail in a timely manner. Napili and one Napili way is just a great place for a family to stay. The unit was well equipped and ready for our stay. Its just a very short walk (no shoes needed) to napili beach. The condo complex has some chairs and items available for use. If you need anything Snorkel Bobs is literally about 100 feet from the complex as is a small store with most everything you need. Napili bay is great for eats as you can hit the world famous gazebo for breakfast (usually a line but well worth waiting) to happy hour at the other end of the bay at the seahouse. Napili is a great spot for sunset watching as well. The pool and hot tub was right out our front door as was two large bbq grills. This is absolutely a place we will stay at again as it offers the space and convenience you cant beat in west Maui.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Owner response: Mahalo for your wonderful review. We at One Napili Way are very happy that you enjoyed yourselves and look forward to helping you plan your next vacation to Maui. As far as The Gazebo, if you get there around 8am, it seems the line is a little bit shorter. After 9am and you will be waiting between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the crowds. You are right, though, it's worth the wait. Mahalo Nui Loa, Dave

My family needed the space that One Napili Way offered in order to keep us all together. We had a fantastic vacation that we will all remember for many years! The beach chairs were put to good use every day, as were the other amenities. Maui is a great family destination and we all enjoyed our visit.

Owner response: Aloha friends. Thank you for taking the time to review us here on vrbo. We have owned at One Napili Way for over 13 yrs. We use our week every year because we love Maui and we love the location. It is within minutes walking distance to 2 of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. If you like to snorkel then both these little bays are perfect. Napili is a little pocket jewel on Maui. There are no high rise hotels so you get the feel of the "Old Maui" when you stay there. There are beautiful walking trails. You don't have to drive to reach them. If you just want to have an easy walk by the ocean all you have to do is walk right out of your unit and start hoofing it. However, there are some trails within close driving distance that are much more of a challenge. Often times we go for our walk along the coast and then head to the Honolua Store for a breakfast or coffee break before we head over the hill to go back to our condo. If you are a golfer, the Kapalua Bay Course and the Plantation Course are within minutes of ONW. There is a shopping center about a mile from the condos. It has a grocery store and several shops and restaurants in that complex. There are also some very nice restaurants within walking distance of the condo. The Sea House Restaurant is right on Napili Bay and the food and ambiance are excellent. For breakfast a fun place to walk to is the Gazebo Restaurant. There are multitudes of restaurants within a short driving distance. As for One Napili Way resort itself. As I mentioned in the title of my review, it is truly a home away from home. Since we bought there they have updated the units but even prior to that they were very well maintained. There is plenty of room for family and friends. We do a lot of our dining at the condo when we are on Maui. The full kitchen is well equipped and we do a lot of grilling. It is peaceful and quiet. I think this is because it only has around 15 units in the complex. We like that kind of atmosphere. I honestly don't believe we ever had any problems with our units. Oh, once the kitchen sink clogged up but they were there right away to fix it. So, I considered that a non-issue. I have recommended this property to family and friends. My sister and her husband also bought 2 wks that they use every other year. I have had friends that have rented there as well. Everyone loved the property and the location. If you are looking to rent on Maui then I think you should consider ONW. You won't be disappointed and it is one of the best bargains on the island.

Of all the Islands we have stayed at and all the hotels and condos we have been with ,ONE NAPILI WAY is the best . It is a two (2) minute walk to the beach and only a five (5) minute walk to a couple of great resturants .We have been staying with ONE NAPILI WAY every year for the last 5/6 years with family and friends and this is the only place we will stay . The staff does every thing they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Aloha

This was the best vacation I've ever had with my family. The location was perfect, as we have one 11 year old child with special needs and a very typically developing 9 year old with totally opposite needs. We were close enough to the beach that my special one could walk without help and my 9 year old could be sent to the beach, alone, to meet me or their dad. The nearby restaurants were great, especially since we could walk there! Nick, at Snorkel Bob's, was also very helpful in booking our luau and renting equipment. The pool and hot tub were perfect and we loved using the outdoor BBQ. The only thing that I could improve upon is having a warm water outdoor shower to rinse off when coming home from the beach. Everyone that we met at our pool area was very friendly and a few people come back every year. That's our plan too!!!

Owner response: Aloha my friend!! We love to hear reviews like this. It warms our hearts. My family and I have just returned from a 10 day stay at One Napili Way and had a fabulous time. The beach at Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay are fantastic and very kid friendly and within a few minutes walk of the condo. The condo itself is very big and was better than expected. My two young boys loved the pool and with a car, it is very easy to see the rest of the island. Napili was perfect for us and was quiet but within minutes of more developed, busier resorts. We would definately go back.

As a family of 5 travelling across the world from the US to Australia, we wanted to stay somewhere that would give us wonderful memories our last days in the US. We couldn't have chosen better! This excellent family property was ideally located within an easy walk to Napili Bay (now, my personal favourite) and yet offered a child friendly pool if we felt the waves were too big to play in. I cannot think of a single thing that we were wanting for during our week long stay.

We had a great stay at One Napili Way. It was spacious and close to the beach. Perfect for a family vacation. So nice to cook in the kitchen and have 2 bathrooms in a quiet area. Unfortunately no view but the price and the space made up for it. Planning with Jill Marzo was awesome. She was helpful and super nice. Only complaint would be that the manager onsite wasn't super friendly on the phone and you are forced to check out at noon with no option. We were flying a red eye with babies and were lucky that we were able to crash at a friends place in the afternoon cus we had to be out by 11 or noon. They didn't offer an option to extend for the afternoon which would have been much better. Also, wireless wasn't free but other than that... it was great and we would likely definitely return. Thanks Jill - you rock!

Owner response: Aloha again Sarah, Big Mahalos for your review. Sorry about the rudeness from the manager. He was going through a rough patch, but that is no excuse. He is no longer with us. As of March, 2011 the wireless is free. This is something we felt had to happen. We can do late check outs most of the time if requested at time of booking. Last minute late check outs are pretty much impossible as we mostly book up with back to back rentals. We offer great last minute specials to fill empty time. We hope you come back soon. We lucked out and stayed at One Napili way for the winter holidays including Christmas in 2009. It is a beautiful location a short walk to the most spectacular beach. We loved the pool and the family feel of the condo's. We met many other families that come every year and instead of treating us as outsiders they welcomed us and our children all played together. I would definitely go back! My only complaint was that the bed was hard and the pillows to chunky so I didn't sleep well. Loved The Gazebo for breakfast and Merriman's for cocktails. The Keiki show was adorable and I LOVE the Kona coffee shop nearby.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Owner response: Aloha again, glad to hear you had such a good time. Beds are a hard thing for us to get perfect. If they were firmer, some would think they were to hard. If softer, some would think too soft. We try to go with a happy medium. We have just installed Certa pillow tops in half of our condos and will be doing the other half soon. Again, we are very happy to hear that our ohana took you in as one of their own. That is what Aloha is all about. We pride ourselves on that type of atmosphere every day here at One Napili Way. We hope you choose to stay with us again on your next trip to Maui. Mahalo, Dave
