CastAway Landing was built in 2005 and is a beautiful home located on The Little Red River! Trout Fishermen's Paradise!! It consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen with appliances and cooking utensils and a screened in porch. There are 2 queen size beds (1 in the Master Suite and 1 in the Guest Bedroom) and 2 twin beds in the 3rd bedroom plus a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room, for total sleeping space to accommodate 8 persons. The home is beautifully decorated inside and features exquisite amenities. The master suite includes a large master bath with double sinks and soaking tub and separate shower. There is a very large deck (approximately 22X20 SF) which is perfect for entertaining, grilling out, cooking smores, watching wild life and just listening to the river roll by. Also, you have your very own private fishing dock!

The Little Red River is one of Arkansas' most poplar trout streams. It is absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful with it's clear and cold running waters, skirted by scenic hardwood hillsides and mountains which are alive with wildlife - deer, ducks, songbirds, eagles, otters, raccoons, just to name a few. It is stocked with rainbow trout, which provides the bulk of the River's fishing population, however, there are lots of wild fish too- huge brown trout that spawn on the tumbling shoals just up from CastAway Landing in the fall. The Little Red River is 29 miles and runs from Greers Ferry Dam to Pangburn. Every time you cast your fly or reel, you have the opportunity to try to top the world record, 40 lb, 4 oz brown trout that was caught right here in Heber Springs, AR on The Little Red River! (Unfortunately, The Little Red River lost the world record trout trophy in 2009 and we really want our trophy brought back home so THAT'S YOUR GOAL WHILE YOU ARE FISHING THE LITTLE RED!) We absolutely love Heber Springs Arkansas. Our family was raised on the water - boating, skiing, fishing and CastAway Landing provides us with everything that our family needs. We love spending our days on Greers Ferry Lake and our evenings on The Little Red River, which gives us the best of both worlds! We always look forward to coming home to CastAway Landing. In the heat of the summer, we can walk down on the dock and feel the temperature drop as much as 10 degrees due to the coldness of the running waters. We shopped and looked for homes in the area for over 6 years before we found CastAway Landing and as soon as we saw it, we knew it was home! CastAway Landing is in direct vicinity of EVERYTHING IN HEBER - local shopping, hiking, boating, sight seeing, mountain climbing, and of course, FISHING!!

There is nothing in this world that compares to waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, pouring a cup and walking out to sit on your very own private dock to watch the sun come up while the river flows past you or putting your waders on and walking right out your back door to do some fly fishing. The World Record Brown Trout was caught right from the waters that flow past CastAway Landing. The views, scenery, fishing and close proximity to all the greatest stuff in Heber Springs is why CastAway Landing River Resort is the perfect vacation location.
We are located right on The Little Red River with your very own fishing dock. When The Corp of Engineers are not generating water through the dam, you can walk right out our back door and wade fish right from your very own back yard. Lobo Landing Fishing Dock and public boat launch. They rent boats and sell fishing tackle and are very helpful on giving insight on where and what to fish. CastAway Landing River Resort was purchased as a secondary home for our family to use as a vacation home and then eventually as our retirement home. It is our hope and dreams to retire in Heber Springs Arkansas and enjoy our days fishing on The Little Red River, playing on Greers Ferry Lake, hiking, walking and socializing with the wonderful towns people of Heber Springs. Castaway Landing is not investment property - it is our secondary home and we will continue to open the doors to guests as long as she is maintained and cared for by our guests. In keeping with our family traditions, because our daughter is highly allergic to pet dander, we do not allow pets in our home.

This is the ideal vacation cabin for anyone, whether you are wanting a nice quiet get away by yourself, or a wondeful family getaway, or a group of guys wanting an exciting trout fishing experience. The Castaway Landing has amazing fishing just a short walk down to their beautiful dock. This Riverfront home is immaculate, with all new appliances, and extremely nice furniture, This cozy home gives you the perfect no worries feeling of pure relaxation. In my opinion this is the BEST and ONLY place to stay if you are thinking of taking a vacation to Heber Springs. I will DEFINATELY be returning to this getaway.

Had a great stay here. The house was in very good order and well equipped with everything we needed. The deck and private dock were awesome. We caught a lot of fish and really enjoyed the quiet private setting. Would not hesitate to book this home again.

My husband and I stayed at Castaway Landing to celebrate 15 years together. What a wonderful week. The location was very easy to find with our GPS. The home is beautifully decorated and the location is remote enough to make you feel like you are alone in a romantic hideaway but close enough to town so you can go shopping or go to dinner. It was the best of both worlds for my husband and myself. The owners have thought of everything at this vacation cottage! My husband would get up early and go fishing while I sat and relaxed enjoying the rolling waters of the river and the comfy patio furniture. It provided much needed break from our hectic city lives and allowed us the tranquil scenerary to get away and rekindle our marriage. I highly recommend Castaway Landing for any of your getaways.

My family of five adults (ages 32-80) greatly enjoyed our stay at Castaway Landing. Great accomodations -especially the kitchen and very clean. We loved the privacy and accessibility to the river. As described we were close to town for groceries. The Dam Site Marina was almost just around the corner and very helpful. The owners were great to work with and very accomodating. My family all agreed we would consider returning next year.

I traveled to Heber Springs with my family of 3 and another family of 5: 4 adults, 4 children ages 10-15. We stayed at Castaway Landing for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The accommodations were very spacious, attractive, and clean. It was like being at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cookware and dishes and we even used the griddle to make pancakes. We were a short drive from Heber Springs, so the location was great - far enough away to feel like you are out in the country but close enough to town for convenience. The owners were willing to work with our schedule for arrival and departure times and all the instructions for keys, etc. were clear and easy to follow. The weather was great and we really enjoyed the deck and pier. The guys fished every day and at first didn't have much luck. Then we figured out the power generation schedule and once they knew when the power generation was off, they were able to catch some pretty nice trout - especially one big fat brown trout that tasted SOOOO good! We ate all that we caught. One day we went out to Greer's Ferry Lake and rented a boat for 4 hours along with a tube inflatable. It was a blast watching the kids squeal and fight to hang on behind the boat. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had prior to arriving and they contacted us by email during the visit to make sure everything was good. After our stay was over, they were quick to return the security deposit. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation at Castaway Landing and would definitely use them again when we return to this area.

We stayed at Castaway Landing over a weekend. We had a wonderful time at the home and it was VERY clean, well-kept, furnished nicely and had everything we needed. We chose Castaway Landing over other options due to the lovely, spacious deck that others did not have. So both inside and out, the home was very comfortable.

Our stay at Castaway landings was truly wonderful! The house was emaculent. The decor made you feel right at home. Everything you needed was there, a home away from home. The deck was such a peaceful place to sit and visit. And of course, the dock was something our husbands enjoyed immensely. Beautiful setting for vacation! Were hoping to come back next year.
