I loved the location of this property! It was an absolutely beautiful view and convenient to everything we needed. It was exactly as described in the listing. It had everything we needed for a great vacation weekend for our family. We are definitely planning on returning.

Good comfy cabin and convenient to lots of fishing locations. House was super clean. The only thing that we wanted was to enjoy the fire pit and gas grill that was talked about in the description but they were locked up.

Please note that the VRBO Property description states that a charcoal grill is provided and there is no mention of a fire pit being available for our guests. We do have an outside cookhouse on the premises, but this is locked and is not available for tenants use due to the increased liability exposure of the gas grill. Had a great stay here. The house was in very good order and well equipped with everything we needed. The deck and private dock were awesome. We caught a lot of fish and really enjoyed the quiet private setting. Would not hesitate to book this home again.

The Perfect Vacation

This is the ideal vacation cabin for anyone, whether you are wanting a nice quiet get away by yourself, or a wondeful family getaway, or a group of guys wanting an exciting trout fishing experience. The Castaway Landing has amazing fishing just a short walk down to their beautiful dock. This Riverfront home is immaculate, with all new appliances, and extremely nice furniture, This cozy home gives you the perfect no worries feeling of pure relaxation. In my opinion this is the BEST and ONLY place to stay if you are thinking of taking a vacation to Heber Springs. I will DEFINATELY be returning to this getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Castaway Landing to celebrate 15 years together. What a wonderful week. The location was very easy to find with our GPS. The home is beautifully decorated and the location is remote enough to make you feel like you are alone in a romantic hideaway but close enough to town so you can go shopping or go to dinner. It was the best of both worlds for my husband and myself. The owners have thought of everything at this vacation cottage! My husband would get up early and go fishing while I sat and relaxed enjoying the rolling waters of the river and the comfy patio furniture. It provided much needed break from our hectic city lives and allowed us the tranquil scenerary to get away and rekindle our marriage. I highly recommend Castaway Landing for any of your getaways.

Castaway landing was a great place to stay, not far from town and easily accesible. The house was furnished with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and felt like home. My family of five adults (ages 32-80) greatly enjoyed our stay at Castaway Landing. Great accomodations -especially the kitchen and very clean. We loved the privacy and accessibility to the river. As described we were close to town for groceries. The Dam Site Marina was almost just around the corner and very helpful. The owners were great to work with and very accomodating. My family all agreed we would consider returning next year.

I traveled to Heber Springs with my family of 3 and another family of 5: 4 adults, 4 children ages 10-15. We stayed at Castaway Landing for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The accommodations were very spacious, attractive, and clean. It was like being at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cookware and dishes and we even used the griddle to make pancakes. We were a short drive from Heber Springs, so the location was great - far enough away to feel like you are out in the country but close enough to town for convenience. The owners were willing to work with our schedule for arrival and departure times and all the instructions for keys, etc. were clear and easy to follow. The weather was great and we really enjoyed the deck and pier. The guys fished every day and at first didn't have much luck. Then we figured out the power generation schedule and once they knew when the power generation was off, they were able to catch some pretty nice trout - especially one big fat brown trout that tasted SOOOO good! We ate all that we caught. One day we went out to Greer's Ferry Lake and rented a boat for 4 hours along with a tube inflatable. It was a blast watching the kids squeal and fight to hang on behind the boat. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had prior to arriving and they contacted us by email during the visit to make sure everything was good. After our stay was over, they were quick to return the security deposit. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation at Castaway Landing and would definitely use them again when we return to this area.

We stayed at Castaway Landing over a weekend. We had a wonderful time at the home and it was VERY clean, well-kept, furnished nicely and had everything we needed. We chose Castaway Landing over other options due to the lovely, spacious deck that others did not have. So both inside and out, the home was very comfortable.

Our stay at Castaway landings was truly wonderful! The house was emaculent. The decor made you feel right at home. Everything you needed was there, a home away from home. The deck was such a peaceful place to sit and visit. And of course, the dock was something our husbands enjoyed immensely. Beautiful setting for vacation! Were hoping to come back next year. This is such an easy place to stay. Very comfortable furniture and beautiful and easy access to the river. Less than 5 minutes to Greers Ferry Lake and Heber Springs. The home is so comfortable and nothing has been spared to make your vacation easier on you. I definitely would recommend this location to friends and relatives. We have vacationed in many places and the key word for this is comfortable. Even if you just wanted to get away without fishing, shopping or visiting the lake you would enjoy your stay at Castaway Landing Resort.

Beautiful, comfortable home. One of my family members requires a motorized cart and the house was very easy for her to maneuver through. Also, we had a few that love to fish and although it didn't seem to be a week for the fish to bite, the dock area was a relaxing place to try! We loved going down early in the morning with the mist over the river. It was like stepping into air conditioning -- just beautiful! Very close to other activities, as well. This was a great weekend on the Little Red River. In my review earlier his was very nice. Great place to stay. Accommodations were just as they said they would be, very nice, very clean and very comfortable. The outside is great too. A great deck and a great dock. This cabin is located between two shoals and was very good for fishing. We caught one really nice brown trout and several rainbow trout right off the dock. Owners were very helpful and great to work with on renting this property. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great getaway

This place is gorgeous, with a dock right on the White River. Cherie and Ron have gone to great lengths making sure their guests have everything they need, super nice neighbor included! All you need to bring is food and laundry detergent, and you're set!! The house is very, very nicely decorated, the furniture is comfortable, high speed internet, and satellite tv. I can't stress enough the beauty of this home! Thanks Ron and Cherie! We'll definitely give you a call when we visit Heber Springs in the future!

Our family enjoyed our weekend getaway at the Castaway Landing River Resort. The descriptive information provided on the website and sent via email were excellent and easy to follow. It made preparations for our trip simpler as everything was provided for us except food and personal hygiene items! The property was very clean and well-maintained. Castaway Landing is absolutely wonderful! When my husband and I booked the home, as usual, we were somewhat apprehensive because you never know how current the photos are or how the property has be maintained. Let me just say, we were so pleasantly surprised! The home was immaculate and you can tell the cleaning crew run a very tight ship. We stayed at Castaway Landing while in Heber Springs for a family reunion and was able to utilize Castaway Landing as our family hub. The kitchen was more than adequately equipped, and all the bedroom have Tvs with cable TV so we were able to entertain in all the rooms. The views are breathtaking. Just like the website says "you can walk right out the back door and wade right into the river (my husband was in HEAVEN!! all weekend!) and once the generators were turned on, we sat on the dock and watched the river roll by while having a nice cool beverage. We loved Castaway Landing so much, that while we were there we logged into the internet (yes! there is even high speed internet!) and booked two more weekends, just to make sure we get Castaway Landing! We had a wonderful time and had every creature comfort that we needed - plus a whole lot of luxuries (the master soaking bath is awesome after a full day on the river! Thank you to the owners of Castaway Landing for opening your home to us! We cherish our time there.

Our family loved this property. It was fall, the colors were spectacular!! We took so many family pictures around the trees and on the dock. People kept asking us where we were, it was so beautiful. Your home is lovely, so clean and maintained. It is in such a great location, very quiet. We did have some old folks, so the ramp in the back was very handy. The owners were so nice to work with. We will sure be using this property again.

I have stayed at this cabin and it was truly wonderful. Beautiful place with plenty of rooms and awesome deck that overlooks the Little Red River. Easy access to everything, the lake, town, and best of all just walk down the steps and you have the best trout fishing just less than 100 yards from the cabins back door. We spent many evenings just relaxing on the deck eating, drinking Margaritas and listening to natures sounds. Thanks to the owners for providing such a wonderful place to stay.
