    • Great place to "get away from it all". Cabin is rustic and charming. We had a very nice stay just lounging by the river, walking in the afternoon, then BBQing on the deck in the evening. I would certainly recommend this place and we will definitely return.

    • What a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing week we spent at your cabin on the river. Everything was perfect. From the large deck for meals and arts and crafts sessions to the comfy "bear den" with AC and TV. The shaddy lawn chairs below the deck for naps and of course the river. Fish whenever I got the urge and just leave my gear and pole by the rivers edge. What more could any angler ask for? No lights at night to disturb the amazing star filled sky. We loved it and will be back many times I am sure. Thank's for making it available, David & Fran ( and zoe the pooch)

    • Dear Max and Joanne, We usually vacation in more distant places, but our week at River’s Edge was so relaxing that we’re coming back again this summer. The kids still talk about their secret hideaway up in the loft and the dams they built with rocks in the river. (They also had a blast on the patio boat we rented for a day on the lake.) Our favorite way to cool off on the hot afternoons was on a float or beach chair anchored in the river. We breakfasted on blackberry pancakes and dined on crawdads and trout. Your cottage is beautifully decorated, and the huge view porch was the hub of our activities. We loved the serenity of the grounds. It was like being in a park. We never felt even the slightest hint that other vacationers might be anywhere within shouting distance. Also, the town of Weaverville turned out to be a neat place to shop, eat and learn about the Gold Rush, although we didn’t discover that until our last day. Thank you for your hospitality. We always put a lot of thought into planning our vacations, but this is the first time we’ve actually repeated a trip. PS: Shasta, our golden retriever pup, loved it too. She insisted on having her own float to lie on in the river.
