Gated Community. The Property is extremely peaceful, and quiet, along the Waterway you may even see some Manatees or Dolphins swimming by, lay in Chaise Lounges, and hear the Coconut Palm frontons move in the breeze. During the Day Ann and Her Husband, George, work their Crab Traps, they ride around on a 16 Ft. Skiff, you cannot miss them, their boat has large Registration Numbers on the side. If you like Crabs, call them over, they will sell to you either Blue Crabs or Stone Crabs dockside. And don't worry if you do not know how to clean them, Ann will even show you how.
Otherwise Ann can provide freshly cooked Crab Platters served Dockside.
The experience with us is a bit more Personal and Service Oriented, we will meet you on the Property upon arrival and get you settled-in and show you how everything works, the HVAC, the Stereos, Satellite TV, Garden Lighting, the BBQ, Stove, the Range, and in-turn answer any questions you may have.
While you are with us, should you need anything we are 45 Min. away, or next door.
Great Place also for Kayaks, to explore the shallow water inlets around or explore in the Sound. If you are interested in renting Suzanne is next door and she can set you up, with Canoes, Boats, or a Charter for Fishing or ride around the Sound....
For some "Real" Fishing Harold is always available for either the, Flats or Deep Sea Fishing at very reasonable prices.
Fish from the Dock, or enjoy a swim in the Pool.
While the Markets are less than 10 Min. away, we provide Discount Cards for WINN-DIXIE.
Close by, you have John Pennekamp, Great Beaches, with snorkeling opportunities. there is also Group Fishing which is not expensive, or Snorkeling Trips to the Reefs a little off-shore. There are many Brochures in the home which will guide you to other destinations.
Restaurants within 7 Min. of which both Gilbert's and Marlay's if you take them the Fish you caught during the day, they will cook it for you for $9.99, and include the side-dishes. And for Outdoor Entertainment at Gilbert's they have a Great Tikki Bar on the Water, with Music, daily.
While Sundowner's is about 12 Min. away, Great Outdoor Dining with Excellent views of the Sunset. And Senor Frijoles is next door, with Outdoor Dining also, Tex-Mex Food and Excellent Margaritas.

Nestor and His wife Sveta are the most accomadating people ever,they had everything ready for us as promised,offered great information for the area,introduced us to some of the locals,George and Ana who also sell the fresh crabs,people here are honest friendly and will do most anything to make you happy,place was clean as expected and furnished several clever things that we forgot to pack.I caught fish every nite from the dock after dark,enough for us to eat and take home.Fish cleaning station was awesome and dock was great,we made a great pelican friend also we miss a lot,at least i got a video of him taking a fish from my mouth.Tiki hut was beautiful,beds were comfy,plenty of room for anything and everything,we found many great fishing spots took our canoe and had a blast,we had so much fun we have been home 3 weeks and are trying to decide what month to go back,not sure if its the laid back life style of the area or the paradise like settings or just the nice people every where you go that makes us want to go.And of course Nestor is about the nicest guy north of cuba.Id would reccomend this place or any of his places in manatee cove,dont waste your money on other resorts and places like that untill you check these places out,well worth the money.And once again Thanks for the great week,early check in and the extra day you let us stay.......Roger and Stephanie ....Ohio

Hello Nestor and Sveta We are back in France, it's very cold, we already miss the heat and the sun of Florida. We want to thank you both for your great hospitality. Our stay was wonderful ; everything has seemed perfect to us. The site is quiet and safe. The trailer is very confortable, very quiet, very well equipped, nothing missing. The Tikki Hut protect us from too big rays of sun, the loungers with thick cushions, the pontoon for fishing, the BBQ for grilling fishes... We had the chance to see twice manatees in the canal next to the trailer ; we have also sympathized with a pelican who stayed just next to us on the pontoon and with which we shared fishes caught. Great feeling ! It was fabulous ! Futhermore the location of the site comes in handy : between Miami and Key West... very easy to access. Our family of four with our children aged 11 and 14 thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Swashbuckler's. Everyone particularly enjoyed fishing off the dock and just hanging out on the deck. It's always a crap shoot booking with places you have never been, but I have used Homeaway for a long time(cyberrentals before-I think they merged). I have never been disappointed and certainly not this time. Initially I was concerned that the place was not actually on key largo but just a short jaunt before the 'new bridge'. However, we got exactly what we were looking for and almost what was advertised. It was far removed(give or take a mile), peaceful, friendly, and quite wonderful neighbors. Definitely not a place for young, loud, party types. This is THE perfect spot for relaxing-a very small R V Park on a marina. And we did see a manatee-right behind our place! Two young middle-age girlfriends will definitely go again.
