Our "COZY MOUNTAIN" cabin is perched towards the top of Toland mountain in Big Canoe, an 8000 acre gated golf and tennis community with three lakes, 15 miles of hiking trails where you can enjoy picturesque waterfalls, a Joe Lee designed 27-hole golf course with a New $10 Million Clubhouse with both Gourmet Dining and a Sports Pub, indoor and outdoor tennis, a complete state-of-the-art fitness center with Olympic-sized indoor pool, racquetball, workout facilities, and a complete day spa. Next to the fitness center is the Big Canoe Swim Club with an outdoor pool, a lake & beach for swimming, paddle boating, and volleyball. The kids love the rock slide that drops into the lake! There is also a play field for basketball, baseball, soccer, walking and playground. Great restaurants and catering. Located in the N. Georgia Mountains - an easy drive from Atlanta in about an hour.

ENTRY LEVEL has covered porch with rocking chairs and a swing. Walk into a rustic/cozy cabin with eleven (11) Inch plank-wood floors throughout, entry-foyer, two story family room with floor to ceiling windows looking towards mountain views, large stack stone fire place, 37" flat-screen TV with 5 disc CD/DVD stereo system, book shelves stocked with books, master bedroom with king bed & sitting area that includes an iPhone/iPod connection, full bathroom, dining room that sits eight, full kitchen with everything you need. Large deck has great mountain views with table and chairs that seat 6, plus a wrap around bench, gas grill and outdoor speakers.

TERRACE LEVEL - Enjoy some extra space with an additional living room / game room accommodated with a ping pong table including balls/paddles, dart board, 32" flat-screen TV and DVD, sitting area. A basketball, football, several folding chairs & table, picnic back-pack, beach towels and board games are also there for your use while visiting Cozy Mountain! Two additional bedrooms with queen beds - iPod / mp3 players connection in each bedroom, shared large double vanity bathroom. The game room opens up to the second level deck where you can get some fresh air and take in the mountain views, explore and hike down the mountain to the trails, or walk out and play some horseshoes. There is also a set of plastic horseshoes for the kids to enjoy.

Our Cozy Mountain cabin is in a great location...backs up to hiking trails, at the end of a quiet small cul-de-sac, a long driveway to accommodate plenty of cars, close to amenities, and of course the great mountain views!

Big Canoe offers dining choices for the spur of the moment and for special occasions. There's dining at the new Club House at Lake Sconti as well as Mexicali Joe's in the Village for indoor and outdoor dining. In addition, there's The Appalachian Grill and Fuego Grill just outside the north gate and Forno Bar & Pizzeria in the Foothill Shopping Center.

  • We just finished the Thanksgiving week there and had a great week. The "cabin" has everything one needs and wants. The kitchen was complete even with a turkey roaster. Our young kids had a blast and it was very kid friendly. The fireplace kept us cozy. We played tennis and swam in the indoor pool. Also made a run to Blue Ridge for a ride on the Santa Train. The jeep trail was a nice hike. I want to return in the summer and try the rock slide. We would definitely return.

  • We had a wonderful stay at this "cottage." It was so comfortable and really felt like someone's home that we had the privilege of staying in. The owners were wonderful to work with in coordinating the trip. We definitely hope to return to Big Canoe and when we do, we will stay here.

  • I have visited this great cabin many times over the years. The golf course located inside the community is a great challenge but fun for all levels of play. Fall is my favorite time of year to stay in the mountains. You can sit on the cabins huge back porch and soak up the stunning colors.

  • This is no cabin, people! It's a beautiful home with beautiful scenery everywhere. Well worth the money and comfortable beyond belief. If you don't want to just sit and enjoy the N.Ga Mountains and the quiet, there is plenty to keep you occupied at Big Canoe. It's a lovely setting and this house will keep you coming back time and again.

  • Great mountain cabin, very private with great furnishings. Also a fabulous mountain view off of the extra large deck. I would recommend staying here for an extra relaxing weekend get away from the fast pace in Atlanta.
