Beautiful accommodations

We recently stayed at this beautiful property for a week to see plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The house itself is very well taken care of, and is homey and comfortable. The rest of the grounds at this property can't be beat. From the peaceful water features, to the labyrinth, to the hot tub and steam room... the amenities never end, and every square inch is clean as a whistle. You couldn't hope for a better place to stay or more amenable hosts.

A great place to stay

The hosts could not have been more welcoming and accommodating! The house was very comfortable. The property is on the outskirts of the small city of Phoenix. It's a very quiet and peaceful place. The garden is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the winter... I can only imagine how nice it would be in the summer. The hot tub is great with a view of the garden, an owl's nest, the vineyard and the mountains. For the price, this place can't be beat in the area. When we're back in Ashland, we'll definitely stay there again.

a true oasis

This special retreat home is everything they say it is and more. It's tranquil and clean, welcoming and peaceful. The grounds are lovely; lush, green grass, a huge Koi pond, a running stream, a vege garden and flowers everywhere, all surrounded by organic vineyards. Kimberly said I could harvest all the chard and kale I wanted. I travel with a blender so I made green drinks from their organic veges everyday. At dusk we sat on a bench by the stream with views of mountains and vineyards in the background and watched barn owls. The owners have thought of comfort and convenience, like having a washer/dryer in the house, cooling overhead fans, calming CD's to listen to, great art from India on the walls and books about Ayurveda, but our favorite was the tiled steam room with a shower, just steps from our back door. We definitely slept well after our steam saunas. This is an oasis just 10 minutes from Ashland, though actually, we never made it to Ashland because we were so relaxed and happy, we didn't want to be anywhere else. Kimberly is a wonderful Ayurveda practitioner, highly skilled and trained. She has a great touch and loving energy. Both my husband and myself had several treatments with her that were amazing. Very healing and rejuvenating. We will be returning!!!

Lovely grounds and special hospitality

My family had a wonderful stay. The grounds are truly special - beautiful to look at and the kids had a lot of fun feeding the fish with the owners! The hot tub and steam room are amazing. The property is a 15 minute drive from downtown Ashland, but we had a great time grilling one night and eating al fresco.

Loved this place! I have stayed many places in Ashland over the years and this by far has been my favorite place. The grounds are gorgeous with a beautiful pond and view of the mountains and vineyard. The accomodations very comfortable and spacious. Also loved coming back to a hot tub to soak in after a long day of shopping. Richard and Katherine were very hospitable and accomadating. Would stay here again!!!!

This beautiful retreat center was a perfect place for our group of 5. We stayed in the roomy 'Sukha' house which provided all the needed appliances and wi-fi to feel at home, yet was also very peaceful. Kimberly and Richard were attentive hosts and friendly, kind people. We hope to be back sometime soon.

I've had the chance to experience this property several times - and each time I leave, I know I will be back. There is a sweetness to this place, completely comfortable and very calming. Fully equiped, washer/dryer, wifi, fireplace, music library and the best treat is the steam room!! Thank you Kim and Richard and Prema for several lovely visits!!

We had a group of 5 and absolutely enjoyed our time. We went snowboarding on Mt Ashland and it was a perfect distance, it only took us 30 minutes to get to the top of the mountain. The luxury and warm family atmospher was great. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Beautiful one acre property, feels secluded but close to Ashland, loved it! Recommend to anyone looking for luxury, solitude, but close to Ashland culture.

Board Retreat in Heaven

Guest: Non-profit Director (Ashland Oregon)
Date of Stay: 02/20/10 Review Submitted: 04/02/10

This space was just what we were looking for...a peaceful, spiritual oasis. Our board runs a grassroots, youth led social justice non-profit that practices spiritual activism. We had 13 people by day and 5 by night and it worked out perfectly. The hosts were VERY easy to work with and gracious. Though they are on the same property-but different house-you did not know they were there (privacy). The many different outlets for relaxing and meditating allowed our training to be both insightful and relaxing. Thanks again!

Lovely surroundings, away from the bustle, a few short minutes from the theatre

Guest: diane (Pleasanton, CA)

I've made many many trips to Ashland, staying in many types of accommodations - this is by far the most relaxed and peaceful Nestled in the vineyards on a beautiful piece of property, the 3-bedroom guesthouse is charming and comfortable. It's wonderful to 'hang out' with a lovely hot tub, sauna and steam room, charming gardens, and a remarkable gentle waterfall, stream that runs into a large koi pond with many seating areas. Richard and Kim are a delight. It's a short drive to the theatre (easy in both daylight and late at night) and the BreadBoard is on the way - one of my two favorite breakfast places. Great for a long weekend with good friends. One other added plus. As this is on the north side of town, it is a tad closer to other places I usually visit - Jacksonville, the Rogue River Creamery and the chocolate store in Central Point, the Butte Creek Mill in Eagle Point, and, of course, Harry and Davids. So go and enjoy - I know I will again :)
