27-28 ~ 20th Annual Heart of the Rockies Arts and Crafts Festival - Chaffee County Fairgrounds. Friday 9-5pm, Saturday 9-4pm. Christmas is just around the corner so come to the Fairgrounds and see all the wonderful holiday gift ideas. Plan to go to downtown Salida on Friday night to see the Parade of Lights and the lighting of Christmas Mountain. DEC 4 - 6 ~ Alpine Orchestra Concerts will feature local soloists performing Mozart horn, flute and oboe concertos...plus a Mozart Divertimento. Friday (12/4) 7:30 pm at Leadville's Annunciation Catholic Church, Saturday (12/5) 7:30 pm at the Salida SteamPlant Theatre, and in Buena Vista on Sunday (12/6) at 3 pm at the Mountain Heights Baptist Church. The public is invited. There is no admission charge but contributions are welcome to help defray expenses.

In the summer have an exciting day of white water rafting, kayaking, or fishing on the Arkansas River which features the exciting Royal Gorge or Brown's Canyon. There is also ATV trail riding, hiking, or mountain biking.

Year Purchased: 2006
This is our home away from home. We have been forced to relocate for work, and don't want to let our little piece of paradise go! We visit it monthly and hope to retire here! We would like to share it for others to enjoy!
