The Laurel House is less than 2 miles from Linville Falls and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Rocking chairs on the covered front porch welcome you home after a day of hiking or skiing at nearby resorts. The wrap-around open deck offers additional seating for enjoying meals outside or watching the stars.
The house is located off Highway 221 in the Village of Linville Falls. Convenient to many attractions, including Linville Caverns, Grandfather Mountain, Beech and Sugar Mountains, Hawk's Nest, Tweetsie Railroad, Wiseman's View, Brown Mountain lights viewing, Table Rock, and Hawksbill. Boone, Banner Elk, Spruce Pine and Crossnore are short drives. Grandfather Mountain Highland Games are about 10 miles away.
The large wooded lot with a tiny mountain creek at the back invites exploration. Blackberries are abundant in the Summer. Mountain Laurel blossoms in the early Summer give this home its name. The Laurel House provides a relaxing atmosphere for a long weekend or for a month. Perfect for artists, writers, or those needing a break from the city.
