Affordable Luxury! Townhouse in Gated Community Close to Beach
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Mazatlan
Close to the beach but away from all the crowded Hotel Zones and partiers. Things are very quiet and relaxing around our location. You can walk to several restaurants and shops or catch a quick and cheap bus or taxi into town. We also know several other Canadian families that own there.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Obviously the beach! We are just a 5 minute walk to miles of beautiful and (almost) deserted sandy beach. There is also lots of great (and cheap) restaurants and shopping close by. Our place is perfect for down days as well. Gated, safe and lovely complex has a nice pool to lounge by or just hanging out in the beautiful and private back yard with a spectacular flower garden and BBQ.
Owner's Map of Mazatlan
We bought in Mazatlan, not just for rental income, but also because it is a great place to take the kids (they love it there!). Direct flights take just 4 hours and are relatively inexpensive. Once you’re there, it costs very little to have a great vacation.

This Place is Amazing! For all you Germa-phobes, this place is impeccably clean from each staircase to every corner. Me, My Husband, my two kids and my dad fitted perfectly in this place. The kids loved the TV Room and Wifi Access (So did I as that was the only way I was able to connect to my Mazatlan Family and shuffle through my extremely busy Itinerary). The Place is safe, gated and walking security guards monitoring the night. The Property Managers were very nice and helpful. The Security guards too (which is unusual, we gave them a 6 pack of beer on our last day). The Pool is beautiful. Ditch the hotels! This is a hidden gem

This Place was Wonderful. For those of you who are total Germaphobes this place is clean with ample space and in a convinient area. I came with my dad who is on the older side and he enjoyed it. The Property Managers there were also friendly and helpful. It's Gated and There is survaillance camera within the community and security guards walking through the night. It's nice and quiet and makes you feel safe and the pool is beautiful.

My wife and I spent four weeks at this town house in Villa Marina in February/March 2011. It is located in a safe gated community. The facilities are exactly as expected from the web-site with no surprises. The courtyard at the back is very private and is a haven for those wanting to relax and read. The three bedrooms are spacious with extensive storage space. There is a TV room upstairs with DVD recorder which is useful as most TV channels are local with no major english networks. The WIFI internet connection was very useful to keep in touch with the outside world using an iPad.The kitchen facilities are excellent and there is lots of equipment and utensils for any cooking needs. There is also a large BBQ in the patio which we did not use. The large washer and dryer are located off the kitchen and would be capable of handling the largest family washing needs, though the lack of an iron and ironing board was an irritant. Overall the townhouse was ideal for the two of us but could easily handle a family with children or two/three couples. We mainly used the frequent low-cost bus service to get around Mazatlan, but the taxis were not espensive when used for grocery shopping or later at night. The main negative is the ten minute walk to the wonderful beaches nearby.

This is a true gem of a vacation rental. It is everything the website promised - and a lot more! My husband and I spent a month here this past winter and we were more than pleased with our stay. Another couple joined us for about ten days and having a bedroom, full bath and a living area on each floor was great in giving us all space and privacy. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is so well equipped that we did much more cooking than we usually do in a rental. The grill on the patio was also great for meal preparation. The patio area is really beautiful, quiet, and peaceful - a great place to have morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The on-site caretakers - Antonio, his wife Rosa, and Victoria - are one of the best features of this rental. They were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything or had questions. Alan, the owner, was very easy to work with and very helpful. All in all this was a wonderful place to spend a month in Mazatlan.

What a pleasant surprise to enter the condo after vacating our previous "bare bones" rental at another address in Mazatlan. This home is truly a home away from home, it was a pleasure to cook and serve meals in the well stocked kitchen. They even had a blender to make smoothies or margaritas! We particularly enjoyed the back garden with it's fabulous boganvillias in such a riot of fabulous colors. Evenings were so enjoyable lounging in the garden area while we BBQd on the full sized unit. The home is decorated with the warm colors of Mexico along with matching towels and bedding which was of course, all top quality. The art is very tasteful and compliments the fine use of color in the home. There is a full sized washer and dryer which was also a treat along with provided laundry soap to get you started. Everything that is stated in the home's description is accurate along with the provided guide to the city, buses, shopping and tourist information. The house manager is very pleasant and diligent if a problem should arise. He treats the home as if it was his own. The owners have truly accomplished their goal of providing a Home away from Home for their guests with the attention to detail and a flare for being an absentee host. We highly recommend this Home to future guests to Mazatlan, you will not be disappointed!

We have have just completed a one month stay at this property and were extremely satisfatied with the unit. The description offered on VRBO is very accurate. It is quite new, has excellent amenities and is very tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equiped with excellent quality appliances. The courtyard also reflects these high standards. This townhouse is quite capable of accomodating six adults quite comfortably. The complex itself is also quite new, excellently maintained with a safe, friendly atmosphere. The property manager was helpful in the extreme and the welcoming pamphlet provided by the owner was quite helpful. In our experience I think that a person would be hard put to find a better quality property in all of Mexico. It is located the the rapidly developing northern area of Mazatlan. There is construction, but we did not find this a problem. It requires some walking to get to the beach - with the excellent and reasonably priced eating available in Mazatlan walking is a benefit. The city itself sprawls for quite a distance along the shoreline so some amount of travel is required but buses are plentiful and inexpensive ( less than one dollar irrespective of distance.) There are also numerous taxis and pulmonias readily available. There is plenty to see and do in Mazatlan and a number of excellent beaches. We particularly enjoyed the historical area, somethingnot found in all resort towns. We prefer this location to the more touristy Zona Dorada and the host's recommendations for restaurants was excellent.
Owner response:Hola Margaritaville's, I am very pleased that you enjoyed Mazatlan and our Casa (home) as much as we do. I would also like to thank you again for your excellent feedback and suggestion on how to make future stays even better. I appreciate your business and kind words. Hopefully we will be your choice for more stays in the future. Muchos Gracias!!! Alan

Hola Alan, Our stay was excellent. Your place is beautiful and comfortable,we especially enjoyed your artwork and the bright colorscheme. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and throughout the house. The back courtyard is lovely as well. We appreciated the extras you provided like soap, laundry detergent, etc. Your suggestions about activities and restaurants was helpful too, we consulted them regularly. Thanks very, very much for everything! Best regards, Barb Levson
