My family and I stayed in this beautiful home for 5 days, 4 nights while attending our son's US Air Force graduation. It was PERFECT! First, the rental cost was LESS than what we would have spent on 2 hotel room and the rental process was very easy! The owners even honored our graduating Airman by giving us a 20% Military discount! The house is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood and was very easy to find. We were about 25 minutes from Lackland AFB, but had great ease travelling to and from the base. The house was very clean and comfortable...after the 1st nights stay, all of us woke saying how comfortable ALL of our beds were! We joked about how the beds were better than the ones we have at home and even wrote down the brand and type of matresses to check into purchasing our own. The ammenities where unbelievable! We hosted an AF Graduation BBQ on Saturday while the Airmen had "Town passes." There was PLENTY of room, the pool was very refreshing and nice, the kitchen was very spacious and perfect for cooking for a large group, the house was easy to find, the fenced back yard was very nice...I could go on and on! The owners also made things very easy by suppliying everything that you could possibly need other than your own clothes. We were VERY impressed! While staying there the hot water heater hose got a little leak, and within 2 hours, a maintenance man was there and had it fixed. There is NOT one bad thing I could say about our stay in this beautiful home! Would 100% recommend!

My family and I stayed at this home during Labor Day weekend and enjoyed the home completely! The layout of the home is perfect and there was plenty of room for everyone. We will definately be staying at this home during our next visit to San Antonio. Loved It!!

My name is Dennis and I am from Victoria Texas. My family and i stayed at this rental home for a few nights in order to give the kids a little mini-vacation. The home owner is absolutely wonderful to work with.I recommend this home to anyone of any age for vacationing, out of town work reasons, or just wanting to relax for a few day's. We loved everything about the home, from the comfort, the pool, even had a few cold beverage's and bbq'd some steaks out on the patio one night. I could go on forever about this home, you will not be disappointed with your stay, Thank you so much to the home owner, We will surely keep you in mind for next years vacation stay.

House and Experience Two Different Things

The house was mostly nice but we had a few gripes and no other VRBO we’ve ever stayed at has ever posed a problem for us. I’ll share the good and bad with you: Pros: The house is roomy – lots of space, wonderful kitchen, great big master bath with walk in closet, spacious bath, etc. The kids loved the TV room upstairs. The neighborhood is good. Looked almost deserted but nice. Fairly close to San Antonio. It’s a suburb off the city, so it took us about 20 minutes to get to main attractions. Cons: Owners were there and still cleaning when we arrived at 3 PM! Our ice cream melted as we waited in our car for them to get out. Kind of late in my opinion. They rushed it because I found a pile of clothing tags and empty GoGurt wrappers beside my master bed. MAJOR yellow jacket problem around the pool. We got swarmed and had to go back inside 10 mins later when my 6 yr old got stung. I emailed Bonnie and was told it’s due to the drought but I feel like we should be warned if it’s that big of a problem. They use traps that had 0 bugs in it. We spent a small fortune ($7/can) on Yard Guard to try to keep swarm away but even then had to swat the yellow jackets. We were told we paid $100 cleaning fee. But when you leave, it’s your responsibility to strip ALL linens, do a load of laundry (2 depending on the # of people you have), close all blinds, set the thermostat to 90, load and run the dishwasher, & clean the grill (which was filthy when we arrived so we had to go buy a wire brush since they didn’t have one) It’s not good to be packing and readying to leave and have to clean house to this extent while we’re at it. Downstairs bathroom had moldy odor in it – others were fine. Our guests noticed it when we had them over for dinner. Barking dog in neighboring yard kept part of the house awake every night. Queen & green rooms were very hot and couldn’t cool down, even with box fans we put in there to try to help. Never have had any issues at other VRBO homes and I was surprised by this one considering it had such stellar previous reviews. Security deposit returned promptly.

Owner response:Admittedly I was rushed when the guests arrived at 2:45 and it took me the additional 15 minutes to finish. I did not realize I had missed my daughters wrappers. Good news is I stay there only once a year and promise from now on to use my crew after my stay as well. When contacted about the Yellow Jackets I forwarded some info from the internet on how to draw the bugs away (with items I had in the house) from the pool during dry times. I would have continued to work on the problem and any others had I been made aware them. The check out proceedures and time frame for deposit refunds are explained in our rental contract. I cannot promise a perfect stay but I will always do my best when given the opportunity.

Very nice home. We enjoyed the house. Plenty of room for 8 of us to have our own space. The kids loved the pool. Got to meet Bonnie when we first got there and she is very nice. The house is fully equiped with everything you need.

Beautiful home in great location

We rented this house for a week and were very pleased. The house is beautiful and clean with a convenient floor plan. We only had one problem and it was dealt with promptly. The neighborhood was quiet. The location made it easy to jump on the freeway and be anywhere in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend San Antonio as a vacation spot and would HIGHLY recommend this rental. We had a wonderful vacation here.

The house was easy to locate with the directions Bonnie sent us, which was a real plus since we didn't know the area at all. We had a very minor issue and after we called Juan(manager) all went very well. The neighbors are very nice and helpful---upon our evening arrival we needed to find the nearest ER cause my husband threw his back out-they were so great. Every morning there was always a hello as if we were part of the neighborhood. Only problem we really had was the Texas heating system---San Antonio was having an unsually cold spell and we would be chilly downstairs but hot upstairs---furnances are in the attic and thermostat is upstairs. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us to be together or apart if we needed our space. I would definately return to San Antonio plus to this particular rental. My security deposit was quickly returned so overall it was a good experience for us.

My family came to San Antonio for Labor Day Weekend. We stayed 4 days. The property is VERY clean and comfortable. It was like home away from home. It was fairly close to Riverwalk and SeaWorld. We will definetly stay here again!

Great Christmas Stay

We spent 5 days at this property over Christmas 2010. The house is exactly as it's advertised and photographed. It's clean, well stocked and the beds were all very comfortable.The neighborhood is quiet and close enough to the freeway that we were able to easily go wherever we wanted. Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to take advantage of the private backyard or the pool, both were fantastic. The owner was really easy to work with ahead of out stay. The formal dining room was great to have for Christmas dinner and the owners were kind enough to have a small lighted Christmas tree in the living room for us when we arrived. We would definatly stay at this house again.

We rented this property so that we could attend out daughter's college graduation in San Antonio. The house is exactly as the pictures show. It is completely furnished with everything you could possibly need.There was plenty of room for my husband and I, and the 4 girls we brought with us. Everyone had their own space and there was room for more. The kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans, baking equipment, dishes, toaster, coffee maker, etc. There's a bbq grill and pool outside in the fenced yard (we didn't use either). The house has wi-fi, which allowed the girls to check their semester grades at their high schools and colleges while we were there. The house is in a nice, quite, neighborhood and includes a two car garage for small vehicles. The house also has an alarm system, which we did not use. The property was clean and well maintained, close enough to the freeway, and we would recommend it.
