Area Description:
East Hampton offers you, the vacationing guest, a large selection of activities. In addition, Nature has given us a marvelous combination of beautiful ocean and bay beaches. We have created parks and picnic grounds for the family to enjoy. There are many charming boutiques, antique shops and art galleries in our quaint villages and hamlets. Our restaurants and gourmet food shops will please even the most critical gourmand. A six-theater cinema is available for movie buffs, as are two outstanding theaters for live theatrical productions. For the sports person there is fishing, boating, golf, tennis and horseback riding.
There is always something going on -- fireworks, festivals, fairs, a parade, a tour of our historical sites, and community BBQs. The Chamber maintains a calendar of events for the Town.
