The Bunkhouse is attached to the owner's main house, but privately locked-off with it's own parking and private entrance. It is located in the heart of Teton Village, at the base of the world-class Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Click on the "View Map" link above to see just how close you really are!

The property was featured in the Summer 2007 issue of Teton Home and Living magazine. Originally built in 1966, it was one of the first homes in Teton Village. A major renovation and large addition was completed in 2005, and included the private bunkhouse guest wing. All this is located just steps from the Winter and Summer activities offered in and around Jackson Hole's resort Village.

You will rent DIRECTLY FROM THE OWNER, not an agent or representative; and, the rates are competitively priced. Please check the calendar for up-to-date availability. The owner has twenty years of experience with investing and managing rental property in Jackson Hole, and holds an active Wyoming Associate Broker real estate license. The owner is also a firefighter, and PSIA certified ski instructor, available for private and group lessons of all ability levels.

The entrance to the Bunkhouse is from a private deck, complete with it's own chairlift porch-swing. Enjoy views both up the mountain, and of the Jackson Hole valley below from the private front balcony. Plus, wildlife visits are common, so bring a camera! The large great room with vaulted ceilings is bright with natural light; and, the Bunkhouse is warmed by state-of-the-art hydronic floor heating with individual controls in each room.

The comfortable living space is enhanced with a large (cable) television, entertainment center and (DVD/VCR) surround sound system. The open chef's kitchen is perfect for conversation while preparing meals. Dining takes place on a contemporary elliptical, 5-6 seat dining bar surrounding the large cooking island.

Overlooking the living space is a warm sleeping loft with a pair of twin beds accessed by a fixed stair/ladder--perfect for kids. In the hallway to the bedrooms is a full size Whirlpool washer and dryer; as well as, a divided bath, where the toilet and tub (with shower) are separated by an interior door from the sink/vanity area. At the end of the hall are two bedrooms with large closets. The first bedroom has a queen sized bed and cable TV. The second bedroom has a full sized bed on bottom and a twin sized bunk above.

The house is furnished with wireless internet, luxury linens, bath amenities, and the kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, cookware, and coffee maker; as well as, coffee filters, napkins, paper towels, and garbage bags. No need to buy water bottles either--Teton Village's water supply is some of the best tasting water in the area! Appliances include a full size refrigerator, freezer with ice-maker, dishwasher, built-in microwave, electric oven and gas range.

Plus there's instant hot water at the sink and an in-sink disposer. Housekeeping is included upon departure, and additional services can be arranged (chef, groceries, catering, daily maid service, professional event planning, etc.).

Teton Village is only a few minutes away by foot--it will probably take longer to drive and find a parking space! In addition to the ski resort, you'll have easy access to nearby shopping, dining, nightlife, spas, sightseeing, and more. Many guests like the freedom of a rental car to visit other attractions in the valley, but others rely on the Jackson Hole START Bus ("transit with a view!") which accesses the Town of Jackson with its additional shopping, restaurants and bars. At this time parking for one vehicle is provided; however, additional parking may be available upon request.

Why the Owner Chose Teton Village

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to own property so close to the heart of the ski village. While one of the oldest homes in the area (1966), and in need of attention, age could not steal it's bragging rights as being the closest single family residence to the Tram! And even while it sits so close to the heart of Teton Village, the views and the feel could be anywhere in the mature, wooded neighborhood of the original Teton Village residential area.

The Unique Benefits at this Guest House

The house is located in a mature forest, with plenty of privacy. Most who rent homes and condominiums in the neighborhood have to walk past this one to get to or from the ski village. Walking or skiing to and from the lifts, hiking/biking trails, restaurants and shops, is more convenient than driving; however, you feel as though you're deep in the woods as you look up the hill at the new Tramway, lifts and ski runs.

Here are some popular points of interest in Teton Village, and their locations relative to the house.

This area has been my home for nearly forty years. In the early 70’s my parents brought my siblings and me out West and enrolled us in the local schools. We spent part of the year here, and part of the year in Ohio. In the late 80’s I moved back to the area permanently, working briefly in the travel industry before getting involved in real estate appraising, brokering, investing, managing and remodeling.

I purchased the “Rendezvous House” in September of 2001, and made some immediate changes to enhance the comfort of the accommodations. After renting it for a short time, I moved-in and began plans for an extensive remodel and addition. In addition to my wife Shawn, who I met during the construction, my next favorite feature of this house is its location, so close to the center of Teton Village! The vision was realized in 2005 when the project was complete; along with the luxury bunkhouse accommodations. Welcome!
