The "CASTAWAY CASA" beach house is new to the rental market and offers all the amenities for a wonderful beach vacation. Located at the west end of Galveston Island at Pointe San Luis, it's 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Sea Wall, but just far enough out to have miles of uncrowded beaches.
This large beach house has two extra large balconies that overlook the beach and Gulf. You also have Bay views from the front of the house. The house is located just across San Luis Rd., but is actually much closer to the beach than most 2nd and 3rd row houses in the other beach developments. You have wonderful beach views from this house.
This house offers everything you could possibly need, then some. You have an amazing master suite with king size bed and large master bath with a jetted tub and separate shower plus a walk in closet. The master has a beautiful gulf view and entry onto the balcony. There are two additional bedrooms each with queen beds, plus a bunk room with double bunk beds to sleep four. A queen size futon bed is available if needed. There is an additional bath on both the second and third floor for a total of three baths. We provide all linens and towels. This house also has a large laundry room, not just a closet.
Enjoy your morning coffee or dining anytime on the balcony. We've provided outdoor furniture on both balconies. Sit out and listen to the waves or come in and enjoy the new large flat screen TV in the living area. There is a second flat screen TV in the master. The extra large kitchen features all new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, as well as two eating areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker, blender, and anything else you could possible need.
We've also provided a few extras for your entertainment such as an indoor foosball table plus a variety of board games, movies and books. The ground floor patio area is spacious and has a charcoal grill and a 8 PERSON HOT TUB. There is also a community swimming pool and kiddie pool in our development within walking distance.
This beach house sleeps 10 comfortably and 12 with use of the sleeper sofa. We've just complete a ground floor kids indoor play area with an additional futon. Be sure to look at the pictures below and email or call if you have any additional questions. We hope you enjoy our vacation home as much as we do.
We are a pet friendly house with up to two small dogs, but do add $100 to each rental. Cancellation insurance is available for an additional fee.
We do require that the person signing the rental agreement be at least 25. We do have a cancellation policy, so please inquire. A location management company handles this rental and aso provides their own security patrol and 24 hour help number.

We fell in love with this beach house as soon as we walked into it. The large open kitchen and living area has so many windows, you feel like you're outdoors. The huge balconies offer the gentle gulf breezes and beautiful views. It is perfect for large families like ours. Everyone can be comfortable but uncrowded. We felt like we were as close to the beach as a first row house but without the people and cars just outside the door.
Why the Owner Chose San Luis
We liked the west end location better than the other areas. We wanted away from the Sea Wall traffic and crowded beaches, so this location is perfect. It's 15 minutes from Galveston if you need supplies, but far enough out to have less traffic and noise. The beaches are seldom busy and great for walking and shell hunting. Our kids can be on the beach and we can see them from the house with no problem.
The Unique Benefits of this House
A large beautiful house that is fully furnished with everything you need for your vacation. You have your choice of the beach, private hot tub or community swimming pool. Two enourmous balconies overlooking the gulf plus a large ground level patio. Foosball table, kids play area, TVs and games indoors if the weather doesn't cooperate.
