Whether you're coming for a getaway weekend or staying all season, there's no reason to pay for an overpriced and impersonal hotel when you can have your very own pied-a-terre, right in Boston's historic South End--the largest Victorian neighborhood in the nation.

This 19th Century Brownstone, 2 bedroom, 700 sq foot (65m2) condo features wood floors throughout, a sunny living room with a working fireplace, a sofa-bed, and a fully outfitted kitchen with exposed brick and stone countertops. There are two bedrooms (1 with queen bed, the other with a full bed and a convertible twin), and a full bathroom. Newly installed soundproof windows throughout the condo.

Kid friendly, the unit features pack-and-play child's bed, as well as a high chair, children's books and games. The unit comes equipped with cable television, XBOX 360, and free high speed Internet.

The condo's location can’t be beat, right on Boston’s Restaurant Row, with numerous choices literally at your front door--most offering seasonal outside dining. In the same building is a Senegalese fine-dining restaurant; across the street is a Thai Fusion/Steakhouse restaurant, as well as the Seiyo Sushi/Wine bar. One block down is a Tapas restaurant, as well as the Boston landmark, Mike’s Diner—a favorite of politicians (including Bill Clinton) as well as other celebs.

Near public transportation, with Silver Line (10 min ride to Downtown Crossing and Boston Common) and #1 and CT (direct service to Cambridge and Harvard Square~20 mins) buses stopping across the street. Orange Line T stop is four blocks away. Short walk to Northeastern University, Back Bay, Copley and Prudential.

Owner's Map of Boston

I'm a native-born New Englander, and have lived in Boston for over 14 years, though I spent my formative years in the South. I like to think that I've been able to import some of that "southern hospitality" to the sometimes chilly Northeast.

Aahh--we needed this "urban fix!!!" We only live about 30 minutes from Boston, but every now and then we just need to escape the "burbs." Your place was perfect! Clean, cozy, warm and w/ everything we needed for our getaway. Easy walk to all the wonderful restaurants in the South End--Butcher Shop, Aquitaine, Hammersleys, etc. Toro down the block was awesome. I'm still craving their roasted corn. Thank you for sharing your humble abode.

From Italy....

The apartment is exactly as we were expecting, I could say even more... Nice, clean, quiet, warm, full of useful stuff and situated in a very nice neighborhood. From the apartment you can easily walk to downtown or, if you were lazy, it is very close to metroand bus stop is just beside the entrance door. So, we enjoied it a lot, we were in Boston for work, so it was nice coming home and... feeling at home. And Thanks to Ben for its patience and for willingness! Hope to come back to Boston, I will not hesitate, I'll definetely come back to Ben's apartment! Thanks again!

Convenient and Homey

We stayed here for our annual girl's trip and there were not any surprises (which was nice). The location is convenient and economical. We took cabs and the Silver Line to our destinations which was easy. There was a book with all the necessary details. It was perfect for us all to be together rather than split up in two hotel rooms. While we did not use them, there were even DVDs to watch a movie. We ate at the tapas restaurant one block down and at Mike's Diner for breakfast. It was nice to have places nearby. We felt very comfortable there and had a lovely time!

We used this place as a base to explore the city on an annual baseball trip -- and would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice condo in a great location. Minutes to the airport, minutes to Boston Common and all Boston amenities -- it's safe, clean, comfortable and located in a great neighborhood. Close also to some great restaurants and bars! We'll stay here again when it's time for the next Sox game.

Excellent apartment with stand out attention to helpful details

Guest: Harvey (Spain)
Date of Stay: 07/27/10 Review Submitted: 08/25/11

We had an excellent stay at this apartment. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 young boys. The apartment is well located and very comfortable. The attention paid by the owners to helpful details is commendable. From the X box for the boys to a computer and printer to print off boarding passes. Thank you! Mike's Diner, a block away, gave us one of the best breakfast's we had in America and if you are travelling with baseball mad kids, the softball field 5 minutes walk away is the perfect place to end the day.

The apartment was exactly as described and very convenient. The bus to down town was a block from the doorstep and the subway stop was a few blocks walk. Along the way there were a wide variety of restaurants - many with outdoor seating to enjoy the lovely August weather in Boston. Ben had maps, guidebooks and even metro cards waiting for us that made it easy to get starting on our sightseeing. The welcome basket and Sam Adams cooling in the frig were nice surprises! We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and very convenient. Thanks for sharing you lovely apartment!
