The house was beautiful! Views were incredible. Pool and outside very well maintained - we did clean the inside to better suite our preference. Definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to maneuver the road up to the house. As far as attractions, there is something for everyone. There were 6 of us (the trip was a Christmas present to our children and their spouse) - and we chose more of the adventerous route - spending time touring the rain forest/jungle, enjoying the absolutely beautiful pristine beaches, and eating at local restaurants. We were able to see animals in their natural environment in addition to the lush, beautiful plants, trees, etc. The people of the various villages were extremely kind. The grounds keeper was extremely helpful - when we were having trouble with telephones, he offered to give us his until we could get ours working. I would highly recommend the house to anyone who prefers to be away from the hastle of motels and likes to enjoy absolute beauty.

We had seen the property in the marketing material (brochure, etc), but hadn't paid much attention to the details. The plan was to stay here for a couple nights after hiking and camping in Corcovado National Park; a place to take a real shower and re-introduce ourselves to civilization. Lo and behold, we enter the property, and atop the mountain in front of us is the house. Nothing else around it other than nature. We drove up to it and were greeted by the beautiful house, striking views of the mountains, pool, and jacuzzi. The inside of the house is very well equipped for confort, with a large master bedroom with a separate tub and shower, and two other rooms upstairs, each with private bathroom. The kitchen has all the basics to cook great meals (we brought groceries from one of the supermarkets in the nearby towns). One nice plus was that iPod/music docs were available, so we were able to easily play music around the house and outside. The weather was cloudy while we were there, but the temperature was perfect for swimming, and comfortably cool at night. The view was breathtaking, with clouds/fog covering the tops of nearby mountains. One thing the property did lack was WiFi, but that's not something we missed, and it's nice to be disconnected from life for a bit. Nick provided fantastic customer services, was attentive, and helped make the whole experience seamless and memorable.

My brother and I spent 12 days in Costa Rica staying in hostels, hotels, tents and more. In the first part of our trip we stayed in Corcovado National Park sleeping in tents and dealing with the elements. This park was amazing and the experience of a lifetime but the best part was knowing our next destination. The house in Buenaventura is an incredible place. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and beautiful place to stay in Costa Rica. It has all of the modern amenities you could ask for and then more. All of the information provided before staying there was accurate and more than expected. I would recommend this house to anyone going to Costa Rica. I can't wait to go back!

This property is amazing with spectacular jungle views! You can also see the ocean on the horizon! The home is less than a half mile of the only golf course in the area. A MUST STAY!

We stayed at this home for one week in July of 2010. It is such a nice place that we referred to it as The Mansion. The pool was fantastic, the view from the property was amazing, and the home was conveniently located to everything. A short drive to many beaches, grocery stores, and a nice looking hospital only about ten minutes down the highway. It was great watching the surfers, and the red sun sinking into the ocean at the end of the day. The home had nice furnishings, with the bed being very comfortable. I also enjoyed the huge windows, remote air conditioning control, and the television with so many channels. We did some Zip lining too, that was an experience I'll never forget. I was a bit concerned when we rented a car with only two wheel drive, but then I discovered we didn't need four wheel drive to get to the mansion on the hill. The kitchen was fully equipped, and there was a washer and dryer. The place had everything we needed, even a good supply of towels etc. We loved this house so much that I would like to come back again in July of 2011. Almost forgot... It was also very interesting to see monkeys and very colourful birds during this vacation, and drink the amazing beer they have in Costa Rica, called Imperial.

For our second trip to Costa Rica, we decided to rent this house and had an amazing time. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and offered the ability to stay in and relax in the pool and cook meals at home, or travel 15-30 minutes to excellent activities, dining and beaches. The views were amazing and so is the wildlife. In our week at the house we saw toucans, Scarlet Macaws as well as various other wildlife. The best part was that the house was up on the mountain side and completely private so you can enjoy your own private getaway. I would definately recommend and we will be back soon. Recommended Activities Nearby: -Osa Mountain Zipline -Citrus (restaurant in Ojochal) -Town of Uvita (excellent beaches & food)

There were 4 adults. The house has great views of the ocean, Golf Course, and Mountains. Very quiet and got some geat pictures of birds not seen in the United States. Close access to resturants and stores. We relaxed by the pool, and enjoyed the quiet, and wildlife around the property. The care taker checked with us daily to see if we needed assistance with anything.

We had a great time at the San Buenaventura house. The description was accurate and it worked well for our family. With 3 bedrooms, all with on-suite bathrooms, and another 1/2 bath, full laundry, full kitchen and living areas and fabulous pool and deck area, it was ideal for our family. It would also work very well for 3 couples. I especially appreciated having a full laundry facility and the privacy was superb. We could be in the pool or enjoying a glass of wine on the pool patio at night and not be disturbed by any other houses, people, lights or noise. We were in our own little paradise with the most spectacular views. We were also just minutes away from all the fun adventures that we experienced, including, ziplinging, horseback riding to a beautiful waterfall, mangrove and rainforest tours, and beaches and snorkeling and whale watching tours. There were a couple of very impressive restaurants close by also, a french fusion type restaurant and a great Italian place. We had grocery stores and even a coffee shop just a few minutes away. We would love to return again some day.

I had an outstanding trip in May of 2010. The house was clean, well-taken care of, and practically brand new. Great views from anywhere on the property: mountains on one side, ocean views on the other. Spectacular shadows from the mountains as the sun sets making for a relaxing way to end the day. This is a great place to get away from it all refresh and unwind. Although it is in the southern zone, recent infrastructure updates have made it easy to get to and get around. Golf and beaches are nearby, as are local restaurants and an awesome zip line tour. I had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat.

We stayed at this property in March of 2010 with another couple. The desciption of the property was very accurate. It was clean and well supplied. When we first arrived it took a while for the air to cool the house, but in a short time it was very comfortable throughout. The view of sunsets from the pool was breathtaking. We saw parrots fly over on a continuous basis. Many of the restaurants in the area were 5 star service and food at 2 star prices. We also went on the zipline found on Osa Mountain, something we will always remember. The beaches are some of the best in the world without the people. A combination of rainforest, beaches, and mountains, hard to beat. We hope to return again soon. Thank you for sharing your very special place with us.
