The cottage is tiny and delightful. The owners are very helpful and considerate. It is clean and well-maintained. The only problem I had was the wi-fi was erratic and the internet speed was slow. My husband and I enjoyed a dinner at Helen's Restaurant in Machias and a scenic drive farther downeast with deep coves and lobster boats.Owner response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the cottage, and I'll look into the internet issue. Best, Patricia

My husband and I stayed last summer from mid June thru the end of August. We found the cottage very bright and comfortable with all the kitchen appliances that we needed. These were the other things I liked best about it: It has a great deck and a lovely private yard. The view overlooking the harbor is spectacular, with boats of all kinds and sea birds in abundance. It is so nice to be able to walk to town, to the Post Office, Library, Grocery Store and Gift Shop. Nearby Great Wass Island offered us many great nature walks. There is a huge beach within a few miles that is wonderful to walk or swim. The Historical Society offered many programs that gave us a chance to learn all about the local culture, and to meet many of the town's people.Did you find this review helpful? Spent a week in this cute little cottage in mid August. The nights were very enjoyable. You can sleep in the master bedroom with your head out the window gazing at the harbor. The breeze blew in on my face all night. The beds were very comfy. The stairs to the bedrooms are a little steep. The folks in this little town were very friendly. They all wave to you when you walk through town. The Moosebec convenient store boys were polite and took time to look up and say howdy. I'm not in New York state no more. The owners were very pleasant. Oh yeah...it is boat friendly. You can arrive in your own boat and stay at the cottage on your way up or down the coast. No matter how big your boat is.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
