Tropical & Tranquil

Guest: Suzanne F.
Date of Stay: 11/30/11 Review Submitted: 12/11/11

This beautiful condo was the perfect getaway for a relaxing ocean view vacation. It was very clean, updated and well decorated with comfortable furniture and a large screen TV. This raised first floor condo looked out to a tropical landscape of palm trees, mangroves and ocean. It had easy access off it's large porch to the pool and beach. The owners are very helpful, respond promptly to inquires and make the whole process of renting easy.

Escape from the madding crowd

There are so many good things to say about this condo I hardly know where to start. I went by myself for a nice quiet week at the beach and chose the ideal spot to do just that. The location would be hard to beat - just steps away from the ocean and the heated pool, yet within easy reach of restaurants, shopping and even a little movie theater. The property management takes security very seriously and I feel very safe throughout my stay. The grounds and public spaces are also perfectly maintained. The condo itself is immaculate with all the comforts of home -- everything from satellite tv and a copious supply of videos and DVDs to freshly laundered sheets on the beds. Jackie the owner is truly a gem, she could not have been more helpful. I could go on, but suffice to say, if you're looking for a great place at the beach, rent this condo - you won't regret it.

Having been to Marco many times, this is the first time staying in this condo and we absolutely love it! It is very clean, well maintained and the view is amazing. The new leather furniture is an extra bonus we weren't expecting! The amenities offered are wonderful, the owner has thought of just about anything we could possibly need to enjoy the beach. It's convenient location makes it easy to quickly get anywhere on the island. Can't imagine staying anywhere else!

nice property

Property is well located, well maintained and having direct access to the pool and beach is great. The only small negative would be that it is a couple of hundred yards to swimmable water and not the 30 feet described. The beach itself is right out the door and the views are outstanding. Loved the deck and all the beach facing windows. Property is well maintained but could use some updating. Not having internet access in the unit these days is a negative and using the lobby isn't very inviting as it is poorly lighted and smells slightly of mildew (after all you are in Florida) and has only one desk. Also, the number of signs in the lobby telling guests all the things they aren't supposed to do reminded me of elementary school. Master bed was comfortable and the unit was well equiped with towels, beach chairs and swim gear.

Great Place for R&R - Complete Accomodations

Nicely stocked 2 bed/2-bath condo in a very good location. If you are looking for walks on the beach, great shelling, heated swimming pool and late-night workouts in a decent fitness center, this is your place. This is not the place for entertaining teenage kids: A couple restaurants within a 2-block walk, but that's about it - you will need a car to go anywhere else. We rented a boat from the Yacht Club for about $400 (all day) and that was the highlight of our trip aside from the beach walking & excellent shelling. A quick drive to Naples and Bonita Springs for sightseeing was fun too. NOTE: There is NO WIRELESS in Condo - must use lobby - so techies may have issues. Restaurants: Try going north back over Marco Bridge a small drive to Isles of Capri (try Capri Fish House or Pelican Bend) - it's pretty much locals & the food is very good; reasonable). Right at the end of Bayside (the road into the Towers) is a great pizza place that serves excellent Italian-style food and appetizers with a bar (Joeys or something like that) and heated patio seating. The Condo Itself: Better than expected. The furnishings were lovely and the room set-ups are perfect for a couple or a couple with children (there is a king-size bedroom and another bedroom with dual twin-sized beds) - though not recommend for two couples unless you have two adults who enjoy sleeping in twin beds (I slept in one while we were there and if you usually sleep in a larger bed its hard). There is a pull-out sofa in the living room; typical "pull-out." The owners have the place nicely stocked with most kitchen necessities, a great TV with DVDs/videos, a small book selection, and some beach toys [most beach chairs were not stable, but the boogie boards & pails were nice]) Parking: Parking costs $20 for the week; very convenient. Outside: The wrap around deck is great and has access to the pool and the beach from a small spiral starircase directly off the patio (but you cannot lock the unit and go this way, so unless someone is staying behind, you will need to go thru the lobby anyway). The heated pool is nice and the rules are reasonable (not militant like some people make it sound) - we had a great time in the pool (my husband & I & ourt13-year-old daughter). Overall? We would stay here again if we knew the weather was going to be as perfect as this trip was: 80-degrees and sunny 6 out of 7 days (mid-Dec). GO - you won't be disappointed!

Relaxation at its best

Our family needed a vacation from the constant running to and from athletic practices, meetings, and work. We wanted a place for which the biggest decision would be "beach or pool?" This property met that expectation perfectly. The pool was close and the beach was just a short walk away. The "toy closet," as my family called it, was well stocked with chairs, wave boards, sand toys, and other items that we needed for our beach days. The condo was clean, spacious and comfortable. We also appreciated the notebook with attractions and restaurants - we referred to it daily. The island was also great, although, there were not many activities available for our teenage boys on the island. Since we stayed off-season, there were not many people on the island in general. We did not have to wait at any restaurant we chose, nor did we have any traffic with which to contend. This property was just what we needed to relax and re-energize to be ready for the hectic schedule that awaited us upon our arrival home.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this beachfront condo. A great alternative to staying in a hotel, all the comforts of home. The condo was well equipped, which makes for an easy vacation. The beach at Marco Island will continue to bring us back!! You won't be dissapointed.

Our family of six stayed in this condo for two weeks in May and had a fantastic time! The location of this unit is optimal and feels very private. There is a spiral staircast of the balcony that goes down to a walk toward the pool and the access to the beach. NO need to go through a lobby when coming back from the beach or pool which to us was a huge plus. Sunsets are beautiful and the beach is great. We've been to Marco before and prefer the location as it gives you a much more secluded feel versus the "row". The unit was well maintained and for the money was a great value. As for swimming, sunbathing, etc in the gulf it is a bit of a walk to the water but that is the only criticism we would have. This is definte repeat location for us! We've been al over the world and for the money you can not beat this location/unit on Marco Island, FL! By the way the fishing was excellent. Caught several snook, pompano, ladyfish, and mackeral right from the shore! The kids had a blast and the shelling it fantastic! If you go one of our favorite activitise is to rent a pontoon boat for the day at Eagle River Marina ($250sh/day) and explore the inner costal water ways. What a blast and you almost always see dolphins! Thanks for a great stay and we'll be back!

This is a very nice two bedroom condo front and center on the beach. To the left, you have the open beach and to the right, Tigertail beach which is sheltered from the waves. Lots of great birds and great sunsets. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach, and felt the condo was in good condition (very comfortable living room and dining area). I would recommend for a family with younger children vs. teenagers.

Amazing Beachfront Condo with Perfect Sunsets!

My family enjoyed our time at the Beachview Condo.....we spent the mornings walking and shelling on the beach and our afternoons, either shopping or swimming in the pool. The condo was so comfortable, we enjoyed Breakfasts and Lunches in the galley kitchen and our suppers and the many resturants in Naples and Marco Island. We would love to go back to this perfect condo and beach.
