This location, directly on the water, is as good as it gets on Claytor Lake. There is a gentle slope from the house to the lakefront with no steps to go up and down. The paved driveway extends down past an ample parking area to your own private boat dock, and swimming area. There is a public boat launch nearby inside the state park.

This is one of the most convenient locations on the Claytor Lake with very easy access from interstate I-81. Claytor Lake State Park is just down the road. It is easy to get to Virginia Tech or Radford University. It has easy access to the surrounding restaurants. There is a marina close by (inside the state park) that will rent a variety of watercraft. A great entry point to the "New River Trail" bike/walking path is just 15 miles away.

With a large great room and adjoining sun room there is plenty of space for everyone. The fire-pit is great for evening hot dog and marshmallow roasts. The lakeside sun room will provide a dramatic sunrise for the early birds. A paddle boat is provided for your usage from June 12th until September 11th. You can bring your own boat and launch it directly from the private boat launch and then dock it at the private dock.

If you want to be directly on the lake without being too far from all of the local attractions, restaurants, and businesses, this is the place for you.

  • Pet Friendly : Pets under 80 pounds are allowed if they are kept in the sun room or on a leash outside. There is a $50 per pet fee. There is a maximum of two pets allowed.
  • Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations) : There are two steps into the house. There is one step down to two of the bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is on the main living level. A car can be driven down to the dock at the water.
  • Kid Friendly : Children should be supervised at all times.
  • Smoking Not Allowed : Smoking is allowed outside. Smoking debris is to be properly disposed of in an appropriate container.
