This unique hacienda style home has been totally renovated, marrying Mexican tradition with modern convenience. It is approximately 3400 square feet including a spacious open concept living room/dining room with 12' high ceilings opening to the outdoor patio and pool. The pool and property are surrounded by lush vegetation and mature trees.
The two large bedrooms on either side of the living/dining room have their own en-suites and walk outs to the pool. The master bedroom also has a sitting/dressing room with his and hers separate washrooms. Another large bedroom, sitting area and bathroom is located in a casita on the property.
The house also has a rooftop mirador offering views of the mountains and Lake Chapala, and is one block from the 5 Star Real de Chapala Hotel and Lake Chapala. The hotel offers beautiful outdoor and indoor dining lakeside, and the best tennis courts in the area. Within walking distance, are Ajijic's finest restaurants and shopping.
Lower La Floresta has wide majestic cobblestone streets, canopied by mature trees and has its own private 24/7 security service.

Loved the house, great location, the treed boulevard is fabulous. House was well stocked, beds were comfortable and we were close to all amenities. Huge patio doors open onto pool/patio area was our favour part of the house. More bathrooms than one needs. Location, Location, Location!!! Stephen and Heather were great to deal with and are wonderful people. Loved our stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

This is a large spacious home in a great area. In saying that, we had a MUCH nicer home for less than 1/2 the price last year in Chula Vista. I know - you can't compare the areas, but we had a vehicle so location wasn't that big of an issue. We doubled our budget this year to upgrade the view and get a pool. Sadly, that was a major disappointment. The "spectacular" view from the mirador is of the neighbours enormous satellite dish and the pool - though clean - was so cold it was unusable. The whole process was seamless, owners very nice, staff congenial and helpful - but we wouldn't recommend this home at this price.Owner response: The very best views in Ajijic are up on the mountain ( Upper Chula Vista, Upper Ajijic etc.) However, if you live on the mountain you will need to drive everywhere. Lower La Floresta is a quiet, beautiful, neighbourhood, which most consider the best area in Ajijic due to the proximity of restaurants, shopping, markets etc. It also has 24/7 neighbourhood security. As with any other city, prime location will always be in demand and priced accordingly. We believe a short walk to any bar, restaurant and grocery store is preferable to having to constantly use ones car. With regards to the temperature of the pool, you will need to make use of solar blanket on the pool December through February as the nights can be cool. This will ensure the pool is very comfortable.
