The unit was well kept up and located in a very convenient location, halfway between the sights of the north shore and those along the west coast, and very close to the airport. There is also plenty to do in the immediate area -- hiking, sight seeing. The unit is located very close to shopping (food and souvenirs) as well. The view from the balcony is fantastic, and there is a nice pool on the premises, as well as a BBQ. I would highly recommend this rental for someone who has never been to Kauai before because of its central location. Then again, it's a great unit for someone who's already been to Kauai before as well. All in all, a great experience.
Owner response:Dear Daniel, I'm happy you enjoyed your stay at my home. You are right about the location, it is close to everything, last time I was there I particularly enjoyed walking to restaurants...and shopping at Costco! I am really looking forward to my next trip to Kauai. Come back and visit soon :) Claudia

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Lae Nani condo. The place was exactly as described and met all of our needs. The condo's location in the complex was perfect (end unit, 3rd floor) and the views off of the balcony were amazing. The grounds of the condo are kept immaculate and the landscaping is beautiful. While the beach on the grounds is not the best for swimming, it was fine for relaxing and other swimming/snorkeling beaches are close. The pool was great and rarely busy (we often had it to ourselves). As far as location on the island,, staying here was perfect. We drove to both ends of the island (Waimea Canyon/Kokee State Park for hiking and on the other side Kee Beach for snorkeling) and either end was within 1 1/2 hours. Even closer were our visits to Poipu Beach Park (again good for snorkeling), and the Kauai Coffee plantation. We also really enjoyed the Ke Ala Hele Makalae path that was a 5 minute drive from the condo. This is a paved 4.1 mile path that runs along the ocean (great views) and is perfect for running, walking, biking - we started each morning with a walk/run on the path. Additionally, a lot of the practical things (grocery stores, restaurants etc) are within 5 minutes of the condo. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends and families.
Owner response:Dear Dina, Thank you!!! You love all the things that I love about our condo, location, view, perfect landscaping, beach, pool, Ke Ala Hele Makalae path, grocery stores nearby...I can't wait to go back, this summer for sure! Please come back and visit soon! Claudia

My family and I went to this great condo in March. It was absolutely great, brand new stove and fridge. Ive stayed in other condos, and this one is what I finally expected. From previous travelrs there was little left over items that are useful. Like beach toys for the kids, salt and pepper, and coffee filters. Every appliance you could need from a rice cooker to a coffee grinder! The view is amazing, and the unit is in waking distance to a few restuarants. Located near Kapa'a is geographically perfect for travel north and south of the island.
Owner response:Thank you! I really enjoy cooking for my family but sometimes it's also nice to be able to walk to one of the many great restaurants in the area. Come see us soon! Claudia

My whole experience in renting this beautiful condo was truly fantastic. The owner was very professional and friendly and I felt very safe and secure in dealing with her. All rental payment details were dealt with promptly and in a very secure manner. Arrival details (e.g., directions to the condo, entrance codes, etc) were thorough and precise, making our arrival completely hassle-free and smooth. The condo itself was lovely! The decor was extremely tasteful and comfortable! The king size bed in the master suite had a memory foam mattress topper and the most comfortable pillows - the Westin's heavenly bed doesn't come close!! The kitchen was very well-equipped, including a coffee grinder!!! It was such a nice touch to be able to freshly grind the beans we had bought during our Kauai coffee plantation visit! A rice cooker, a blender (for blending our own piƱa coladas!), a complete set of pots, pans, dishes, knives, food storage containers, a cooler and ice packs, and more....honestly, all the nicities of home were available which made cooking our own meals so easy and then packing picnics for our day trips perfect. The view from the condo was gorgeous and we loved having the morning to mid-day sun on our balcony. The condo complex is in walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, the beach, more beaches, cool little bars. In truth, I don't think it could be better situated. Normally if I'm going to return to a holiday location, I like to try out other places to stay, but after spending a week at this condo, when I return to Kauai, I'll definitely be staying here again. It really was a great spot to rest and relax and feel totally comfortable. Thank you for being such a thorough and thoughtful rental owner!
Owner response:Thank you SO MUCH Kathryn! You just made my day. I look forward to having you stay at my home again, hopefully soon! Claudia

This condo is a great deal-excellent view, location, and amenities. We appreciated the easy access to north or south shore sights. We also enjoyed exploring and shopping in Kapaa nearby. The complex was clean and quiet and this unit was in great shape. We decided it had the perfect view- you can see the ocean and hear the waves, but the beautiful trees, grass, and plants add to the view. The unit had new carpet and a fresh coat of paint just before our arrival, so it looks great. (And we heard there are now even more upgrades happened right after we left!) We really appreciated the thoughtful things the unit was stocked with- beach towels, the blender for my morning smoothies, and the cooler bags for our lunches while hiking. The owner was great to deal with and responded to emails quickly. There was a female monk seal that liked resting on the beach right out front that we saw multiple times during our stay. We loved the hiking, biking, swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding we did all over the island. The highlight for our group was hiking to Hanakapi'ai Falls on the Napali coast- try it if you're up for an adventure! I would definitely recommend this condo for your Kauai adventure!
Owner response:Thank you Leslie! I LOVE that view, and I love the sound of palm fronds in the breeze while relaxing on the Lanai! It's great to hear that you enjoyed your vacation, sounds like you tried it all, hiking, biking, swimming, snorkeling...! I hope you do come back soon and get to enjoy all the new goodies. Mahalo! We stayed at Lae Nani on Kauai from Jan 18th -28th. We have been coming to Hawaii for 20+ years, usually the Big Island and wanted to try something different. The condo was in good shape, had a gorgeous view, was close to good restaurants, grocery stores, and was close enough to town that you could walk. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only drawback for us was being Hawaii's winter, it was kind of difficult getting in the ocean in front of the condo because of the undertow and rocks. There was a keiki (child's) pond in front of the condo though. The pool was really large compared to most condo pools. Would definitely stay again! Thank you to the owners for letting us enjoy their home.
Owner response:Dear Phyllis, you are most welcome! I would love to have you as my guest again, anytime! Thank you, Claudia

Our adult family spent a week at this condo. It is very conveniently located about 10 minutes from the airport. It has a beautiful view of the ocean, and is nice and quiet. The deck is private and we felt like the only ones there the whole week. The owners provided a fully stocked kitchen, beach towels and beach toys. There is a tennis court just outside, and a very nice pool. You can swim in the ocean from the beach which is just across the lawn from the condo. Kauai is a wonderful island to do as much or as little as your group wants to do. We went with another family who stayed in a nearby condo. There is a fully furnished kitchen for those who prefer to eat in, and a convenient farmer's market or grocery stores. We enjoyed snorkeling at this beach and other nearby beaches. The beaches are quiet and unpopulated. There are many wonderful activities, such as scuba diving, helicopter tours, Polynesian luaus, and shopping in cute beach shops for those looking for activities. This beautiful flower island is definitely one we will return to soon!
Owner response:I couldn't agree more!!! Thank you! Claudia Prenter

My husband and I have stayed at Lae Nani on several trips to Kauai. It is our favorite condo on the island. The grounds are beautiful, with wonderful ocean views, a great pool and gas grills for when you want to dine in. My most recent visit was with my niece and sister in law, who also fell in love with Lae Nani. The condo is in a perfect location - close to grocery stores, shops and restaurants, with an easy drive to explore other parts of the island. The unit has a great ocean view, close enough to hear the waves when falling asleep at night. The unit is well stocked with everything you would need - an abundance of beach towels (nice not to have to pack your own), beach chairs, and other beach items. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics for those days when you want to cook your own meals. The condo is nicely appointed and very comfortable. Booking the unit was a breeze. Claudia was very prompt in responding to my inquiry. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone contemplating a visit to Kauai.
Owner response:Thank You!!! Our family really loves Lae Nani, I hope we get to go there very soon! Claudia

We had an excellent week in Kauai, Lae Nani was perfect for us! The condo was great for our 2 year old son. There was nothing breakable in the unit, the beach toys were a lot of fun and there was even sippy cups and kids silverware for him. We got great use out of the snorkel equipment, beach umbrella, beach mat & boogie boards that were in the condo. The condo itself was clean and stocked with pretty much everything we needed. The grounds at Lae Nani were very well maintained with a lot of grass to run around on, a great pool and a beach for exploring and building sandcastles. I even did a bit of snorkeling out in front of the condo and found some little fish and neat shells. We would definitely stay here again, dealing with the owners was easy and hassle free. Highlights: - Location in the middle of the island, easy to go east or west for day trips. - Brick Oven Pizza within walking distance. - Great dining at the Hukilau Lanai, also within walking distance. - Lanai closet filled with snorkel equipment, boogie boards, sand toys & other useful items. - Clean, well maintained complex & unit.
Owner response:Thank you Eric!!! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your vacation :) Please do come back and see us soon! Best, Claudia

We couldn't ask for a better location or view. The condo was comfortable and relaxing with a fantastic view of the ocean. Perfect spot for morning coffee and breakfast! The condo is centrally located so going to either end of Kauai was easy. There was plenty of construction, but that seems to be every time we've been there so, it is what it is. The condo has all the basics for cooking and cleaning. There are grocery stores and bakeries nearby so shopping was convenient. There are snorkels and boogie boards also so for those who don't own there own that makes one less expense. Claudi was easy to work with when renting this condo and helped meet our every request. Thank you so much for helping us have a great vacation.

We stayed here over the holidays, so we paid a bit more than her special rates, but we were very at home in this condo. Our favorite part was the baby beach because we have 3 small kids. The pool is also very nice and on the warm side. Claudia was a pleasure to deal with and we would stay here again. We weren't that familiar with Wailua, but it was nice to be in the center of the island, near that great park at Lydgate State park, and close enough to go to the north or south sides whenever we felt like it. Also, the apartment didn't have the humidity that we often feel from staying in Poipu...so sleeping was more comfortable for us. I would definitely recommend this condo if you have children.
Owner response:Thank you Breean! My children really love the pool, beach and Lydgate Park and we love the location, it does make it super easy for day trips. - Claudia

Thx to Claudia, we had an amazing and relaxing vacation in Kauai. Her condo is tastefully decorated, clean and very well furnished. We enjoyed the ocean view and the beautiful garden from the lanai. It was nice to wake up in the morning and see the sight and sounds of calming water, with a cup of Kona coffee. We also had the option of dining out at the restaurants, but the kitchen had everything what we needed to prepare a good meal. The beach and the pool were just a few steps away and it was perfect! We enjoyed spectacular sunsets everyday! The owner was very friendly and made sure we had a pleasant stay...and we did! A wonderful and relaxing stay...we're definitely coming back!!
Owner response:Thank you!!! I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the beach and the pool with my family very soon. Come back anytime, I'd love to have you as my guests again! Claudia

What a wonderful escape! My husband, 7-year-old daughter and I spent 12 days here. Although we spent most of our days out, exploring the island, we were always happy to come "home" at the end of the day. We BBQd most nights and ate out on the balcony where we had spectacular views of the ocean and the sunset. The path along the beach took me all the way into Kapaa Town for early morning power walks. The grassy area in front of the condo is huge and ended up being a great place for our daughter to run around and play tag at the end of the day. The condo was lovely, full of tropical charm and had all the amenities we were looking for. The beds were very comfortable and the ocean breezes kept us cool just fine. We can't wait to go back!
Owner response:Thank you Marissa! I hope you and the family come visit again very soon :) Claudia

Kauai feels like a second home to us and we had a wonderful time staying at Claudia's condo. It's clean, spacious and located in what we feel is the best complex on the island for amenities, location and value. We cherish the memories made their with our daughter and looking forward to returning one day soon.
Owner response:Thank you Wes! I'm happy you and your family enjoyed your vacation at my home, I agree about it being the best complex at a great location. I would love to have you back anytime :) Best, Claudia.

Really enjoyed our 9 days at Lae Nani early March 2010. The condo is great for families. The kids had lots of fun in the pool and at the beach. One day a Monk seal took up residence and part of the beach was roped off as is the local bylaw. I made good use of the barbeques grilling local seafood (Ahi, MahiMahi, shrimp) most nights and other nights it's a quick walk over to Coconut Market shops and restaurants. We've been back to Lae Nani 3 years now and this unit has the best view of all we've stayed at and had everything we needed for our stay. We hope to go back again next year.

We spent 14 nights in February 2010 with our two children ages 4 and 7. We had a very positive experience dealing directly with the owners. All aspects were professionally handled including a prompt return of our security deposit. The property photos and descriptions accurately describe Lae Nani and the unit itself. Lae Nani is a well maintained property with beautiful gardens, a great pool and lovely views. This unit is very well and equipped and enjoys a sunny deck and a great view. The supplied beach chairs, mats, cooler, children's beach toys, and snorkeling gear were much appreciated. My only negative is that when the bedroom windows are open, the nearby road and more distant highway can be annoying. I am a light sleeper and this might not bother others. The beach off Lae Nani doesn't offer the greatest swimming but there are lots of other great beaches nearby. The property is centrally located offering easy day trip access to all areas of the island. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend Lae Nani, this unit and the owners.

We stayed at this lovely condo December 16-23 with our two young boys and it was perfect for our needs. The views from the lanai and living room are gorgeous, and the property itself is beautifully maintained with lush gardens and the beach right there. The owner is a pleasure to deal with, and we had everything we needed, from a well-stocked kitchen to beach toys and chairs for our stay. We saw surfers every day from the lanai and the condo's east shore location made day trips to the North Shore and Waimea Canyon very doable, even with young children.

We had a great stay in this unit for 8 nights in November. I've been staying at the Lai Nani since I was very young, and now am going with my husband and daughter. I'd say this is one of the better locations at the Lai Nani, it's a corner unit, so you actually get a view out three directions. Even from the kitchen sink. Very spacious living/dining room with a little breakfast bar to the kitchen, plus our favorite shower in the master bathroom! We had two days and nights of incredibly high surf, high winds and heavy rains. Our unit had a great view out onto the ocean to take in the storm. Where else, but Kauai, is a storm actually fun?
Owner response:Thank you Justyn! Hope to see you soon :) Best, Claudia

"My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at your condo, and had a great time! The accommodations were very comfortable; everything we needed was right there: there was a fully-equipped kitchen, plus we were close to two grocery stores, so we could prepare some of our own meals, and not have to eat out all the time The balcony overlooked the beach, so we could have our morning coffee and check out the surf at the same time. The front desk people were very friendly and accommodating. I could go on and on... I can't wait to go back there!"
