Mountain Majesty is a luxurious, exclusive, rental cabin on the top of a 2800 foot mountain outside Murphy, North Carolina. The 180 degree panoramic view has been described as the best view in Cherokee County, North Carolina. 15 wooded acres surround the cabin and ensure complete privacy!
Mountain Majesty was designed and custom built in 1997. The three bedroom, three bath, prow-design sits at the end of the road giving you complete privacy. The 1300+ square feet of glass in the house including 900 square feet in the prow front allow you to enjoy the majestic view and the surrounding landscape.
The extras are numerous: Seven televisions with three HDTV DirecTV satellite receivers with Sports Pack and local Atlanta stations. 46" Sony XBR6 LCD TV in Great Room! Surround sound receiver with CD, Blue Ray DVD, iPod cradle, VCR, and 21 stereo speakers throughout the house and on the outside decks. A Wii is available with all the fixing's. A Verizon MiFI wirless card allows up to five users to enjoy high speed internet at the same time. A gourmet kitchen has every appliance you can imagine with Pfaltzgraff dinnerware and Calphalon cookware. An exercise room includes a StairMaster FreeClimber 4400PT and a Parabody weight machine.
Outside you'll find a six person hot tub and a basketball hoop with an incredible view in the background and a hammock to relax. Board games, cards, VCR and DVD movies, CDs and tapes, as well as many books. The quality construction add-ons will add to your enjoyment: whole house lighting and surge protection, carbon dioxide and smoke detectors, weather alert system, first aid kit, fire extinguishers, and propane generator for use during power outages.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1996
Tom and Anne Darrow live in Roswell Georgia. They were married in October, 2007 after meeting through eHarmony!
They enjoy Christian music, travelling, spending time with Anne's family in Asheville,NC and Tom's family in Wisconsin and sports (especially North Carolina and Notre Dame sports, and The Masters) and enjoying their houseboat and ski boat on Lake Lanier during the summer.
Anne is a pediatric nurse for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta/Scottish Rite Hospital. Tom founded and manages Talent Connections, LLC and Career Spa, LLC. and is a leader nationally in the Human Resources profession.
They attend Roswell United Methodist Church in Roswell, Georgia and The House of Prayer in Blairsville, Georgia.
Why the Owner Chose Murphy
In 1994, Tom shopped for a cabin in the North Georgia Mountains. He couldn't find the cabin he wanted on the property he wanted. So, he decided to shop for the right piece of property and build later.
In 1995, he found the 1.86 acres that Mountain Majesty was built on starting in October, 1996. A year and two weeks later, Mountain Majesty was a reality!
Over the years, three adjoining properties were purchased and Mountain Majesty now sits on 15 private and breath-taking acres!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The most frequent question we get is, "what do we do when we're there?" Well...you name it!
We have set up Mountain Majesty with almost every conceivable amenity to match the diverse guests that visit. Rest, read, watch tv, hike, soak in the hot tub, cook, work out, listen to music, play basketball, journal, spend time with family, watch movies, play games, do a puzzle, do life planning....so much to do!
But, the most popular activity at Mountain Majesty is to watch the view! The view was described by a recent guest as, "the best mountain view I've ever seen!". Someone else said, "now I know what an eagle feels like!". The view is long and wide and changes all the time. Watch the birds soar. Look at the landscape. Watch fighter jets zip through the valley lower than you are! Everything man-made that can be seen from Mountain Majesty is lower than you are...so, you feel like you're on top of the world!
