We rented this house as a large extended family, because we were in town for my Brother in Law's wedding. We had 9 adults and 3 children staying in the 5 bedrooms. This was a much better option than getting five hotel rooms for the two nights we stayed. Very peaceful setting and the house was large enough that we did not feel like we were on top of each other. The house was very clean and appears to be recently remodeled. We would recommend this house and location to anyone looking to stay in eastern Lancaster County.

MLK Weekend 2012

My family (sisters and their husbands) go away together, a minimum of 3xs a year. We never really leave the house,as we play games,watch tv, just relax, enjoying each other's company,stress and children free. This year we decided to go to Dutch country, instead of Deep Creek, MD for our MLK weekend. We were at first, a little hesitant because we are used to private baths for each room. Actually two sisters wouldn't come because of this...well....let me say, that this was definitely NOT a problem. The pictures online do NOT do the house, justice. The rate for the weekend was great! It was an easy process, reserving and paying for the rental. Communication with Rose, the owner was above excellent. It was great to meet her in person. She was a pleasure, in person and via email. We loved how clean and modern the house is. We loved the history about the home ownership that was included on the website. My sister and I are real estate agents and we have a second nature, to assess homes. This was definitely high on our list. We loved opening the curtains and watching the house and buggies going by! We actually plan to go on a horse ride upon our checking out. I will say that the men, did "sneak" out to go to the outlets and we sent them to the grocery store,too! Everything was in close proximity, yet we felt like we were in the country! A nice quiet environment! I may actually rent the home again, this summer, for my grandsons' birthday party at Dutch Wonderland, which is about 10 minutes away. I can not praise the house, the owner and our overall experience,enough! We highly recommend the house to any family,looking for a "home" away from home while on vacation!

This was a great place for us to meet with our adult children. Plenty of beds and plenty of room for everyone to be together, but enough areas to divide into smaller groups. Close to everything we wanted to do in the Lancaster area:Sight and Sound, Outlets, dining. It was extremely windy outside, but you couldn't even tell -it was warm and quiet inside. Was very clean and nicely decorated. Will definitely consider coming back.

Lancaster Vacation Rentals

We had so much fun. We met for a family birthday party. This place was perfect. The children were safe, with a big lot, basketball, swing set, and a game room inside the house. They could play house, ping pong or watch videos/TV. The adults had a nice porch with rocking chairs to sit on and watch the neighbors/amish ride by. We had our own TV on the main floor. This place was a vacation spot with 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was perfect for setting up a buffet for our party. They had dishes, pots & pans,coffee pot, bowls and silverware for us to use. We were 15 minutes away from any restaurant, grocery store, bakery, or any shopping. The scenery was beautiful. We had an enjoyable weekend. We needed more time to take in all of the tourist atractions. Next time we will have to plan to stay longer. Thank-you for having us and making memories for the future.

PA state, especially Lancaster Dutch County is a stunning place to vacation, for adults and kids alike. It wasn’t the first time we spent our summer vacation in Lancaster, PA, but this year it was all toped off by such a clean, comfortable, quiet private little house and spacious accommodation. Owners were helpful when needed but didn’t intrude when wasn’t needed. We had a wonderful experience and hope to see you again. The Wertheimers

This home was perfect for our group of 7 tennis players in the area for a tennis tournament this past weekend. More than enough room and so very attractively decorated. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! We had a great time both indoors in your rec room as well as outdoors by the gazebo. The owners are very sweet and accommodating!

Perfect family home!

We stayed in this home for a week in August 2010, and the home was perfect for our family (6 adults and 3 children under 5). The home is beautiful and the owners were extremely accomodating...when the TV wasn't working properly in the finished basement, they went right out and returned with a new TV and a new DVD/VCR player! The photos on the website do not do the home justice. The setting is so peaceful, and there are so many activities to do near the home. We cannot wait to return again new summer!

Family reunion

What a beautiful home! My family & I stayed 4 nights and we could not have asked for better accommodations. There were 9 of us and we had more than enough room. The Kings have provided a clean, well equipped home and they have thought of everything! Rose-those cookies you dropped off did not last long. Delicious...and we cannot thank you enough for your hospitality. You have thought of everything anyone could need. Better than any 4 star hotel. Lots of little touches throughout the house to make you feel right at home. We all especially enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs watching people pass by. The Amish buggys were interesting passing the house each day. Our primary reason for visiting this area was to visit the Railroad Museum & take the train ride. Your home provided us with all the comforts close to area attractions. It was so relaxing coming "home" after a day of sightseeing and knowing we had such a lovely place to spend our evenings. The 3 teenagers with us had so much fun playing ping-pong in the basement. We even had adults in a "play-off" match that would rival even the professionals! Great fun and LOTS of laughter. Thanks for helping out with directions to the supermarket and to Pie in the Sky pizza. We left a menu for the next guest. The pizza was awesome! Our reunions vary in destination each year but rest assured that the house is on our "repeat visit" list and you'll be seeing us again sometime. Many thanks to you for a great vacation home!

Perfect Getaway

4 adults and 2 toddlers enjoyed this perfect getaway during a visit to Lancaster from NJ and Pittsburgh, PA. The house even had 2 pack & plays for the kids. The house was very clean and included everything we needed. We are hoping to rent the house again this year and we hope to bring more of our friends over this year.

We spent a long weekend w/ couple other families with toddlers. Everything was perfect. The home is clean and comfortable and close to everything (shopping, attractions... etc). The kids had a great time inside and out. Would definitely come back again!

Beautiful home in a perfect location, close enough to feel connected but secluded enough to feel country. The pictures perfectly represent the final product, no hidden flaws that you are always leary of when you rent sight unseen. The property owners were extremely helpful, we couldnt have asked for any better, everything we needed they were able to supply. Enjoyed our time there very much and will plan a return trip soon.

What a perfect long weekend

We chose Lancaster/PA Dutch for our annual "girls" weekend and how lucky we were to find this rental. The house was absolutely perfect. Large, clean rooms. Everything had been recently updated very nicely. Very close to shopping/sightseeing. There were only 5 of us, but this house is huge and can accomodate 10 easily.
