This was a wonderful apartment! The apartment itself was great, clean, all the amenities. Amazing location with fabulous views of Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge. Trolley and bus station close by so had easy access to everywhere in the city. We walked everywhere including the grocery store so we could prepare meals at home including fresh crab every night from Fisherman's wharf. Dessert every night in Ghiradelli directly across the street. We were 3 adults and 3 children, place was very spacious! Loved it, will definitely come back!

We stayed for a week in this appartement at the end of december. Everything was perfect, very clean, confortable, fantastic views from the kitchen, great location, well organised and managed. We asked for an additional heater in the bedrooms as is was rather chilly and we got it within an hour! I would highly recommand this place to my friends...and wish we could have stayed longer!!

We came from Maui for a wedding at the Presedio. We stayed at this wonderful flat for six days with our two daughters and their husbands. Clean, spacious, fully appointed kitchen. Washer & dryer (very useful). Perfect location, next to Ghirardelli. Fabulous view from large kitchen window of Alcatraz, Golden gate Bridge,and the Bay. Fishermans Warf close by. Cable car stop at the end of the block. Much fun!!! We took the Double Decker Tour Bus (hop on and off) Learned much of the City history. We would recommend this flat to anyone looking for a great, affordable place to stay.

Has all the character of staying at someone's well loved home. A wonderful and comfortable place to stay, everything as advertised or better! Beautiful view, perfect location, plenty of space, comfortable beds, everything is clean and well appointed. Included is a nice flat screen TV with cable, but you may want to bring a DVD player if you have your own movies to watch. The Kitchen is a great space with the best view. We cooked a full traditional Thanksgiving meal including a 12 lb turkey. The property is well managed too with easy instructions for entry and they were quick to refund the deposit. An amazing place to rent, wish we could have stayed longer !

This spacious apartment is very highly recommended. It was very clean, fully equipped and absolutely perfect for our needs. The view of Alcatraz (on clear days) is great. The apartment is very close to public transportation - no car needed. Lovely walks from the area. There is a convenience store across the street and many other nearby stores. We loved our stay!! My mother, husband, daughter and I came from Seattle to San Francisco for a Monday through Friday vacation in August of 2011. Our ages range between 8 & 61 years old. Every aspect of this home was true bliss for each of us. From the ease of booking with the property management company, to entry the morning we arrived, we never stressed about a thing! Once inside, we were all amazed at how accurate the photos online had depicted the vast beauty of the home. The sweeping views, the spacious rooms, the spotless cleanliness of it all took our breath away! The close proximity of all that SF offers was at our fingertips. We could walk across the street to Ghiradelli Square, down the block to The Buena Vista, and across from there to catch the Powell Hyde cable car. Just a few more steps down the hill and we were walking along the waterfront and on our way to Pier 39. Restaurants, shopping, entertainment, grassy open spaces and sandy beaches kept everyone in our family very satisfied. We did not rent a car and took transit everywhere. The buses, streetcars and cable cars took us where we needed to go. We were able to see the Ferry Building, Aquarium, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, and even a trip to The Orpheum to see a show. Because the home is close to all of these wonderful attractions, it did not come as a surprise that we could hear the buses and cars along the street in the evening hours. But it wasn't excessive, just noticeable. Our favorite sound was in the early morning when we opened the kitchen windows and could hear the wild parrots singing as they flew by! All four of us HIGHLY recommend this property!

Our Best Family Vacation Spot Ever

We searched long and hard many months ago in planning our trip, had choices all over the city and settled on this one. Great place, as noted in other reviews, very close to transportation & many of the best sites in SF. We had kids 26, 21 & 14, plus mom & pop--rooms worked out great. I'm a part-time home remodeler, and I'd attest that the workmanship in the flat was really outstanding. Probably our favorite feature was lying in bed with the windows open & listening to the fog horns off the bridge--you get a real feel for the bay in this home. We recommend it highly, and John was great to work with--absolutely trouble-free process and very straightforward. Can't say enough about how much we'd love to have this place for a second home.

The amazing views, the immediate availability of transportation of many types and the cleanliness of the condo were just a few of the wonderful memories we will take away from our trip. Even with two children, we were within walking distance of Fisherman's wharf and Pier 39 among other things. The cable/electric cars and bus system is a wonderful asset, safe and ease to use, even for out-of towners. The management company was easy to reach and responded quickly to a need when we were there. The rooms were clean and very well represented in the pictures shown here. The bedroom not shown has two large windows looking out over the bay, similar to the kitchen view. The kids loved being next door to Ghiradelli as well! Thanks for a wonderful and relaxing vacation!

Family vacation 2011

We have spent the last three family vacations in the SF area, but this is the first time we rented an apartment there for the entire two weeks. Fantastic location, convenient to mass transit, and terrific views. Everything was clean and well furnished. One bathroom is the only drawback (we had some primping 20-somethings that we had to pry out of there a few times) but it was still manageable. Only suggestion would be to add a supply of basic spices, as the kitchen is nice for cooking at home.

My family stayed for a week's vacation. There were 5 of us. It was wonderful. The location was perfect, it was very clean, great place to stay. 1 bathroom takes a little cooperation, but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. Will stay again if ever back to San Fran!

We had the blast of our life. The house was very very very nice, close to Fishermens Wharf, and in a really nice area. Have a look at the pictures you see here, they really catch the house. It was awesome. Many thanks. The booking from overseas (Europ) went very smooth and professional, we got the full deposit back nearly immediately after checkout. Again: Many thanks, and we will definitely join back, when we meet SF again.

We rented this for 5 nights over spring break and found the location to be ideal for walking to local attractions such as Fisherman's Wharf, the Cable Car, Ghirardelli Square and local transit. The bedding, furnishings, linens and appliances were high quality, clean, and comfortable. Beautifully decorated, spacious and unbelievable views from every window, the bay on one side and city lights at night on the other. Our friend that lives in the area visited and was so impressed, he requested we share the contact information with him so he could send others to this spectacular property in the future. Management was professional, friendly and customer oriented.

Location is terrific as you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Cable Car terminus and bus routes. Home is modern yet charming with plenty of light, good sized bedrooms and a great kitchen. Make sure everyone in your party is comfortable with the 2 stories of narrow wooden stairs that access the flat.

The property was truly immaculate and presented just as per photos. Location was excellent and views of the bay were a delight. It suited our teenage family very well, but do take heed there is a rather long flight of stairs if access worries you. We had such a nice time that it was very hard to leave the apartment. It felt like home, it is very comfortable. The location couldn't be better. And we found our way to park the car in the streets very close to the apartment. The pictures from the listing show exactly what it is. The views are amazing, you can see the golden gate bridge and Alcatraz from the kitchen. We hope we can come back soon.

Wonderful Holiday Getaway

I live 15 miles from SF in a small beach cottage which could not accommodate the influx of relatives at Christmas. The flat was perfect for our group. The shoppers could easily get to Union Square on cable car or taxi. I anticipated that parking would be a problem, but we were able to find street parking only 1 block away that did not have a 2 hour time limit, so the car lived there the whole 3 days and we didn't have an additional fee. We had 10 people for dinner, there were only 8 chairs, but guests from Marin County bought 2 extras. The flat is very well equipped. The only item we had to purchase was a masher for the mashed potatoes. A great time was had by all. Thanks!

We stayed at the condo for 8 days in November and loved it. There was two couples and we found one bathroom was just fine. The condo was very spacious and had all the amenities you needed. The location was ideal and very central to get around. It was easy to hop a bus or catch a cab and also we could walk down thru the warf area and feel safe. On the weekend there was quite a few homeless.No problems though. Loved the location. The condo was well maintained and clean. Great to have coffee and breakfast in the morning without having to go out. Much better than a hotel especially when staying up to a week. We loved the view out the kitchen window. I would recommend this to others.

GREAT HOME AWAY FROM HOME LOCATION

Myself and family rented this apartment for a five night stay to attend a wedding in the San Francisco bay area. We couldn't have done any better! Location and amenties are first class. A mere 30 second walk from the Ghiardelli Chocolate factory and associated amenties were just the beginning. Two safeway supermarkets are within easy walking distance for those amenties you may require. The apartment has fantastic views towards Alcatraz Island and the Fishermans Wharf area - all within easy walking distance. 3 large bedrooms suited our needs, with ample room for our entire group we didn't feel cramped here at all. Wi-Fi and fixed line broadband are all on location so it's easy to stay in touch whilst your here. Bathroom was spotless and large, with both washing machine and drier located here. A small deck is loacted off the kitchen which is a fantastic place to sit in the morning with coffee and newspaper in hand listening to the local seagulls singing from neighbouring decks. If you have a vehicle look at parking options before commencing your stay. We rented a vehicle for two days whilst we were here and probably could have saved a few dollars by prebooking and paying before our arrival. If your happy to walk five or so minutes I spotted at least 4 parking garages who all average about $25 daily. The parking garage at the Ghiardelli complex charge $32 per day, but the chocolate is to die for...!!! We could not fault this apartment in any way shape or form and will have no hesitation booking to stay here again on our next trip to San Francisco.

We stayed at the flat the first week in August 2010. We loved everything about the place. It was very nice, had great appliances and plenty of room for our needs. The location was perfect. We had a car for the first 3 days of our stay, but only because we wanted to travel outside of the city to visit some places. However, it is very easy to get anywhere in the city from the flat without one. The bus stops right outside of the door and the Wharf is just around the corner. We thought it was a very reasonable rate also. In fact we spent the whole week waiting for the 'catch', but there was none. I would definitely recommend it as a much better option than any hotel in that area of town if you are traveling in a large enough group/family!

I live in the Bay Area and rented this for visiting family. It's a great location, with lots of attractions within easy walking distance. There are great views (we found it a great way to see the fourth of July fireworks). The pictures here give an accurate sense of the place. The place is well equipped, the beds comfortable, it's a classic building, but it's been nicely modernized. Unless you have a significant challenge with stairs (my 80+ year old parents did fine staying for a week, but might not be perfect for small kids) I think you will be very pleased.

What a delightful flat in the heart of the city! The location is probably the best part - near Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, delicious food etc... And there's a ton of great public transportation nearby. And while the parking garages in the area may be expensive, we were actually able to get by on strictly street parking during our stay. The place is beautiful - great hardware floors, nice furniture, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchen. The pictures really do it justice. We probably could have used another bathroom since there were 6 of us, but otherwise the space and amenities were ideal.

I am just back from a 10 day stay in CA, the first 5 were at this beautiful third floor flat. The hardwood floor gleamed, it was bright and sunny, the view of Alcatraz , the cable car, and the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen from the kitchen window. The Kitchen was stocked with anything you would need, and was nice to have. Location, Location, Location, it is the best. There is a bus stop in front of the house, it takes you anywhere you want to go. Bus # 47 and #30, #39 to pier 39, fishermans wharf, and North Beach- The cable car also stops at end of the block on N.Point , or 1 block down hill from N. Point, is the turn-about if you want the full ride from the beginning. Do not rent a car for your stay, the public buses and cable and muni are great. 3 women traveling we felt very safe at this house. This house was a little more pricey than we wanted to pay, but, after much research, i decided to rent it. It was well worth the extra money because of the view, and location, and quality of the unit. There are about 30 stairs total, to the unit, and at the beginning, we were winded, but after 5 days, we were much more fit. The bedrooms are spacious and the bedding itself sooo comfortable. The bedroom on the street side, was noisy one night, bring some earplugs, other than that, i would consider the unit quiet. And, next to Gherdelli Sq, that was great too- The one bathroom did concern us... but was not an issue in the end. If this concerns you note that Gherdelli square has nice public bathrooms that are very very clean if needed in a pinch. Get a City Pass, it is worth the money, to be able to hop on and off all the buses and cable cars, and has some good coupons to use. Go to the market at Pier 1 (?) - on saturday, get some homemade pasta, sauce and bread, and cook at home 1 night. We left the unit, and got a rental car on day 6, we drove back to unit to get the luggage, having a car is not fun in the city, although if you really need one, there is public parking near by, but you will pay. We then went along route 1, the coast, to monteray area, it was just beautiful. But, staying this unit on North Point, was a highlight of the trip. Rent it if you can, have no concerns. "

John, we had a great time at the apartment. The location is perfect. We opted not to rent a car and got a weeks pass for each of us to ride the cable car and muni. Again the location is perfect and we figured we saved in excess of 800 dollars in car and parking fees (especially those that would have been in addition to the nightly storage parking). Walking the city is the best way to really experience it, although walking up to Coit Tower was chore. We did not know until we got to the top that the stairs were not the only way up (smile). Location location location. Thanks again. rick
